Any updates on the chapel or the lake?

Anonymous

Awesome footage. Loved the song at the very end. She is so talented and everyone looked so relaxed.

Anonymous

The gold chandelier is beautiful. Can’t wait to see what the mysterious mound is! Highlight Percy and Isabelle at the beach, the bananas, the cat and the vet ❤️

thechateaudiaries

Yes, Davy is contacting companies to do the lake survey, and sadly the chapel restorer fell off his scaffolding at his last site! He’s doing well, but is still in a neck brace, so we have hit another delay.

Anonymous

Really nice. Good to see Isabelle and Percy again. I didn't know Fanny was musical, too; Lalande has its own Charlotte Gainsbourg or Laetitia Sadier!

Anonymous

Did you see the Murano chandelier that Ed found in Bordeaux? He didn't buy it but asked us to guess the price. It was very similar to the boudoir one. xoxoxoxo

Anonymous

how is Jerry's knee coming along? any idea when he'll be able to travel? we miss you Jerry!

Anonymous

I'm looking forward to more of your adventures away from Lalande this year. Also hoping Gerald will be able to have some with you. xoxo

Anonymous

Is Isabelle going to come as soon as she is able (covid allowing) or will she remain in South Africa over winter (their summer)

Anonymous

French sounds so beautiful sung.

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie! I wonder how’s the work at the new pantry and the downstairs loo. When are you planning another tour around the new developments of the projects at the time in Lalande? Thank you. Greetings from Brazil.

Julia Cobb

This may be my favorite Patreon video and I feel so sorry for those who aren’t. Mummy’s new cat🥰 I once had one exactly like him named Genghis after the Kahn. He was a master mouser. Finding the arch! Can’t wait for Dan to get it cleared. This may be my fav Patreon video ever! The gold chandelier 🥰

Anonymous

I loved the guitar music and singing.

Anonymous

That was magnificent! I'm so excited to see the wallpaper go up in the loo, and the floor in the china pantry.

Anonymous

Stephanie, you mentioned the rose bushes that you transplanted from your childhood home. Do you have any pictures from there that you would share with us? You have such a rich heritage.

Jodi and Scott Barck

Lovely quiet moment and with soft singing joining the frogs. Love it

Anonymous

Ah so lovely, that song, with frogs in the background.

Anonymous

So happy to see Mummy and Percy!!! Thank you. I’m loving the chandeliers 💛🙂💛

Evelyn McElroy

Such lovely footage - roses, bananas, cats, chandeliers, funny Matt gossip. Thank you, Stephanie!

Anonymous

I enjoyed this video. I would like to see more of the goings on at La Lande in future videos.

Anonymous

Oh Stephanie you have made this man so so happy as well as made me cry a little!!! In your introduction you had a blue and gold cup on the desk, my parents had that same set and it was only used for very special occasions and over the Christmas holidays. Sadly we lost my mother 12 years ago and my father joined her on Valentine’s Day last year. When we cleared the house we found 3 cups remained from the whole set, so now myself and 2 siblings have one each. My new traditional is for my cup to be use as a small Bouquet vase for my parents birthdays and of course for Christmas… So your have given me a heart warming moment with just a simple cup and saucer…♥️

Anonymous

What a lovely video. We are so lucky that you share such special moments with us all. Thank you.

Anonymous

The whole video was lovely! So great to have some footage of Mummy & Percy, and I adore any and all updates to do with La Lande. Has there been a video yet about the entrance hall? I thought we couldn’t see it because it was being featured on the television show, but we’ve seen bits of it in recent vlogs. If I’ve somehow missed it, my apologies. But if it has not been featured yet, could we get a full tour? It looks beautiful!

alicia baylina & gail estka

Stephanie, for your next interview you have to interview Dan & Matt individually and then interview them together for last 15min. Those two are comedy gold!!!!

Anonymous

What a wonderful French song - Fanny is very talented! So uplifting! Also I saw Cat checking out Dan’s bum hahahaha!

Anonymous

I know you emptied Nicks old room to do Michael Pethericks room but have I missed the new decorations ?

Anonymous

Lovely video and extra wonderful to see some of you relaxing with friends on the terrace listening to the lovely singing and playing. Perfectly chateau moment in what is the definition of Lalande as a chateau!

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie. I had a few ideas for things you could possibly film. I think it would be nice to slowly film the garden bed by bed and the new plantings Dan has placed around, maybe even a drone shot so we can see the progress. I would also like to suggest that sometimes when you walk into a room you actually show the room before getting to the action. Sometimes I feel we get more close-ups that leave out rooms that have changed since the last tours you did. Have a fantastic week.

Anonymous

Enjoyed!!! When will get an update on the work going on in the Chateau?

Anonymous

Wonderful to see Mummy and Percy, loved the bananas sequence when they suddenly turned yellow! I'm still hoping for an interview with Philip, I know there was talk of one in the pipeline but it hasn't materialised. Thank you for all you work though Stephanie, it is so very much appreciated

1) It would be lovely to meet the farmers that purchased the land around Lalande, and esp if they produce goods that you are able to purchase or that are available in the community. Lalande as a chateau is in a revival - how has that changed their lives, if it has? I also sometimes wonder if their ancestors would have worked on the chateau structures during building works. 2) It would be neat to see more old maps/papers about the chateau and grounds, and surrounding area then look at how those areas appear today. e.g. a deep dive on different sections of the buildings, showing how each room/space and its use has evolved over time. 3) Yes, please to more about your family history, the business your parents ran, whether that large old building still stands and how it is used, your early years life in France contrasted to your life in the UK. 4) More about the Grand Madamoiselle 5) more about your sheep - when did you get them? more about the breed. how old are they? what do you do with their wool? what care do they require? 6) eating videos - such as the one when you went to the goat cheese farm then ate at the restaurant. I enjoy seeing folks explore what's grown locally. 7) more about your bees, including care and honey collection, if the beekeeper was willing and had extra protective gear for the camera folk. 8) rescuing all the books out in the stable - I fear they will have bugs. 9) lots of footage of the still-packed attic as you unpack it. :)

Hi! I’ve enjoyed seeing all the chateaux and the visiting. Now, a quick update on current projects at Lalande will be great! The cockerel necklace looks great with your orange dress. Only you could pull it off ! How lovely to end the day with la douce voix de Fanny & the croaking frogs. x

Georgette Jones

Love the gatherings on the patio ❤️

Anonymous

I was so excited to see it and thought the same! It’s a bit more masculine or a bit darker colors. I now have a huge appreciation for Murano chandeliers! I’ve always appreciated the glass, there’s something so special with the colors and how delicate the chandeliers are. ✨Cheers!✨

Anonymous

This video was so full of joy and peace. All the feels. 😊 so looking forward to our visit in the fall! ✈️🏰💛

Anonymous

Would love to see an interview with Philip. He's a real renaissance man. Knows decorative arts, music, languages, knows the chateau inside and out. Full of great ideas. Has a good eye. Wonderful sense of humour. Can film and edit. He's such a treasure.

Anonymous

I think this is my favorite patron video! What a beautiful update from Mummy & Percy! What a wonderful thing to TNR the sweet ginger kitty. 🧡 The chandeliers are too beautiful for words!✨ Great eye on the lamp Philip, I know it will look smashing when it’s done! 🕯 The ending was pure magic with such a lovely voice and accompaniment from the local frogs and such.💖🌛💫🐸 Bravo!! 👏🏼

Anonymous

Enjoying all the updates a snippets around the grounds and finds. Loved actually seeing the antique dealer installing and taking pride in the installation of beautiful chandelier. Gives me pleasure seeing all that you and the le Landers are accomplishing!

Anonymous

Dear Stephanie Why not mount a male connector on the chandelier and get an extension cord (which is easily discreetly nailed up) so you can get light in the beautiful morano chandeliers ??? Big hugs and 🍀🍀

Theresa Romero

Simply lovely, from start to finish. Thank you 🙏💗

Mommy & Percy!

Luv y'all!!!

I have to say, that vlogs like these (well, sort of) are my favourite. Just these little views into just the daily life at the Chateau. Whats going on this week, who is there, whats cooking in the kitchen, whats Dan up to, what is in season in the garden? And then also maybe updates on some of the great finds from Emmaus, and if you have used some of the great artwork and gifts from unwrapped, and where? So lovely to hear from Isabelle and Percy - I hope to see her back soon, or at least maybe she will do updates on video 😊

Anonymous

That was truly a great watch. i loved seeing mummy and Percy in SA with the cat, what a beautiful house that beach house is, and so near the sea! They are having a great time. Isabelle said happy birthday to me in the live chat, so she is my favourite Lalander at present. If Phillip reads here, I am still waiting for that duette! You and Stephanie should sing for us all a duette, i bet you do it when you drive, I would love to hear it! Garden is really looking lovely now. Lots of love to you all from Norway x

Anonymous

Brilliant! I second all of these questions especially talking to the farmers. Also Stephanie, you mentioned that you were going to interview Davey on the drive to take him home. I hope that will still be in a future video. Patreon or otherwise. Loved hearing the crickets in the back ground of the singing video. Was that you singing?

Anonymous

Love these patreon videos, just perfect.

Anonymous

How lovely to see Mummy and Percy and how kind were they to the little cat. Thanks for another excellent vlog. X

Anonymous

Your dear mother is such a sweetie pie for rescuing the poor kitty. Isabelle has such a kind heart with animals. Thank you, Isabelle and Percy. <3 Stephanie, you said we could make suggestions if we had something we wanted to see. Have you ever gone Glamping? If you don't know what that is, please Google it and enjoy what pops. I would LOVE to see you and the Lalanders enjoy a proper Glamping experience. I think you and Philip would have a blast finding things at the local charity shops to use, like fancy rugs, candle sticks, cozy blankets and throw pillows. Glamping Chateau de Lalande style, YES PLEASE! Sending you all lot of love. <3 <3 <3 P.S. You're probably going to have to come up with a special cocktail for this one. Maybe ask Selmar for suggestions. <3

Anonymous

I agree would love to see an update on all the areas mentioned above as well as the chicken houses-did Selmar build the one and the other arrive to be installed, that way the Cockerels would be safe in their own area, poor Spuds is probably still traumatized.

Anonymous

I miss Mummy so much and can't imagine how you much you must miss her. Do you know when she and Percy will be able to visit? Great video - so appreciated!

Anonymous

Just lovely....all of it. Especially the singing at the end (beautiful voice)....and seeing Dan wearing the fan around his neck! ha

Anonymous

Did Stephanie ever do a proper reveal for the entrance hall? I must have missed it.

Anonymous

I love Fanny playing the guitar and singing!

Anonymous

I think the arch Davy discovered is where the troll used to live. 👹 The entryway chandelier is magnificent! So glad you bought both of them. So sorry to hear about the chapel restorer, I hope he's better soon, he is such a lovely and talented man. ❤️

Anonymous

This was heavenly to watch. Thank you so much, Stephanie, and I do hope that you're feeling better and getting adequate rest 💕

Anonymous

Loved the music at the end! Another building mystery! I do hope it is a remnant of the old fortifications! Having even a bit of that would be marvelous!

Anonymous

Would love more BTS of what is going on at your chateau now that you have bnb guests again! What is a typical day like? Maybe from Nati and everyone else their perspectives too!?

Anonymous

Oh my goodness!! This video was a perfect gift! Thank you so much. I loved seeing Mummy and Percy - how sweet that they are helping the wild cat. Also I felt like I was right there with you at the end enjoying Fanny playing and singing. This is exactly what my Welsh side of the family would do after dinner... all together enjoying music and each other. I was quite teary by the end! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Anonymous

What is next step to getting lake back?

Anonymous

All of this was wonderful! So special to see Isabel and Percy rescuing Ruby 2. Sweet Fanny singing with th crickets and the frogs. Lovely.

Anonymous

What a beautiful way to spend your evenings. I live in a subtropical climate so we don’t sit outside of an evening unless there’s a roaring bonfire and loads of mosquito repellent. I miss spending time with people like this.

Anonymous

Loved this vlog , the gardens, the chandeliers and the music to end. Was that Vivienne’s daughter Isabelle singing too at the end ?

Anonymous

I would so love to see garden shots in between scene in vlogs ..like slow mo shots of beautiful roses or other flowers with light background music

Anonymous

Ruby 2 - love it. Yes, I was thinking a "friend for Ruby!", also

Daniel Hammond

Thank you for the video. It really was a tonic. Have a fabulous week!

Anonymous

It is such a joy to see these snippets of Lalande life. Isabelle and Percy taking care of the kitten was so sweet. There is so much beauty in kindness.

Anonymous

I enjoyed the garden parts very much

Anonymous

I am enjoying your dresses that match the peacock wallpaper. I recently fell in love with a wallpaper that features one of the other creatures that live in the chateau, from a company here in Brooklyn, Flavor Paper. The pattern is called Elysian Fields -- https://www.flavorpaper.com/wallpaper/patterns/handscreened/elysian-fields -- Another company makes nightwear, bed linens and shower curtains in the same pattern -- https://www.sininlinen.com/collections/elysian-fields-collections -- One day, I hope to get the wallpaper. For now, my nightwear matches my shower curtains.

I love French music and have so many songs in my playlist. Haven’t got a clue what the lyrics are!

Anonymous

I loved this video! So nice to see mummy & Percy again. The chandeliers are beautiful. Will there be one in the china room? Can’t wait to see a full tour of the entry hall. Also, I’m wondering how the roses are doing with the clippings from Basmaignee? I hope they survived. Philip, the lamp is gorgeous. The frogs sounded like they were in my garden! Love it. Thanks for this great footage!

Anonymous

love these Patreon videos as much as the vlog. Everything keeps getting better and better - Stephanie, you've continue to grow and we're lucky for it.

Anonymous

Mummy and Percy are very kind to take care of the kitty. How special to be somewhere you can pick your own bananas from your garden!

Anonymous

What a beautiful sight to see getting up on the west coast of US. Mommy and Percy, Hello! A new mystery at LaLande. Rose garden tour. And a little serenade. Thank you

Anonymous

Percy made me nervous with that knife. lol. Sorry, Percy, I should have known you had it!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMTNT_BzkdA

Anonymous

I think you both will enjoy this on Netflix. Its called Penguin Town. I enjoyed it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2X-1Ui3G48 and Phillip you will love this.

Anonymous

If more people in the world were like Mummy and Percy we would not have the over population of Cats and Dogs in the world. They both are very special!!! I did the same with the cats hanging around my house. Two stayed and they became part of our family. I was able to tame them over time to where we can pick them up and pet them. They now go in and out of the house all the time.

Anonymous

the Behind the Scenes are such a treat. It almost feels like we're actually tagging along on the day to day at LaLande. And what a great way to end a day with everyone around the table, Fanny's singing was really beautiful.

Anonymous

I would like to suggest you all do some metal detecting to find history and treasures!

Where is Selmar?

Anna Ibarra

It was wonderful to see Isabell and Percy and their work on saving the cat. Just wonderful job.

Anna Ibarra

I know he doesn't seem to appear on Chateau Diaries much. Miss seeing him.

Corey Gibson

The tunnel/pipe definitely looks like an overflow for the moat, I don't see it having any other purpose

Katie Roberts Art

Wow! I love that bit at the end with Fanny playing and singing –– so beautiful! Lovely voice and feeling. So peaceful and serene. Nice to see the chilled out moments of the chateau crew. Lovely the secret, quiet, magic moments Xx

Such a joy to see Isabelle & Percy so relaxed together in South Africa. Their compassionate care for the sweet cat is touching. Gorgeous chandeliers, a vintage lamp, snippets of daily life at the chateau—simply delightful!

Lovely roses 🌹 my favourite flowers. At Percy and Isabelles those steps down to the beach were amazing. Please do a little video walking down them to see the beach 🏖 my happy place. Thank you Stephanie xox

I love the entrance hall and it seems that chandelier was meant to be there. That hot pink trim tho... This vlog is beautiful and so soul soothing. Sweet voice Fanny.

Anonymous

I know you weren’t allowed to show the entrance room because of TV etc and I’m glad that’s changed. Have I missed a vlog that shows the wallpaper in there? Absolutely love it. And now with that exquisite chandelier 😍

Thank you for all the beauty that you share, you always make the Chateau feel like its home to all of us. How nice to se Mummy and Percy.

Great to so many vlogs on other chateaus. Just wondering if there will be an update this week on how the various renovations at Lalande are going? Thanks X

The chandeliers you recently purchased are so beautiful. You inspired me to start working in my bedroom and so far I have hung several paintings I made, a chandelier, a beautiful armchair, gold framed mirror. I wish I could add photos. It makes me very happy!

Anonymous

That terrace twilight performance really moved me. The generosity of everyone to politely look away so she felt comfortable to be vulnerable and yet everyone got to escape into the generosity of her gift of music. Such powerful sweetness💖💖💖

Anonymous

Thank you. A pleasure to watch.

Anonymous

I hope Fanny gave permission for that to be broadcast though! She seemed such a private lady it felt like it was recorded without her knowledge 😐
