That crooked door frame brought back memories. You'll need to reshape the door :P

Anonymous

I just love the very old ceiling, its amazing x

Anonymous

On my! We were only just talking about Michael's photography and then checking my emails finds this!!!

Anonymous

The videos are just getting better and better - thank you for such excellent content. I know how hard you work on the videos and we honestly appreciate it so much. It's all the satisfaction of major renovation without having to endure any builders' dust in one's own home!!!

Anonymous

Such Joy!🌿🌸🌿Love it!

Anonymous

It really is a dream of a home you have there

Anonymous

i hope you took on board the comments about the houseplants from the live chat? the cache pots are designed to hold an inner pot - you don't plant straight into them as there is no drainage, I'd hate for you to lose your lovely plants by water-logging them.

Anonymous

Don’t you think the pattern on the stones on the floor in the chapel echo the pattern on the painted boards in the attic?

Anonymous

Such a fun walk around with Michael! I had been hoping you would do some tours with those that have been gone for so long and this was a joy to be a part of!

Anonymous

Welcome back, Michael!

Anonymous

Such a lovely video. Thanks so much Stephanie and Michael.

Anonymous

Lovely to see you Michael! Welcome back! Such exciting times at Château Lalande!

Anonymous

Lovely vlog and lovely to see Michael back at Lalande xx the family coming back together brilliant xx and all the renovations progressing well xx so pleased for you Stephanie xx😘🏰🥂

Anonymous

Sheer joy and ever lasting optimism! The glass is always half full! thank you!

Anonymous

Thanks for sharing. I simply love being part of this community!

Anonymous

Lovely blog but I find the audio very low, is anyone experiencing this or is the problem at my end. I wish they would each use a mic as much as is possible.

Anonymous

Glad to see Michael and Nick and family back, and Davy. Putting many heads together lightens the decision-making load. Nice vlog, Stephanie.

Anonymous

The roaming badger is hilarious and could become a "running" joke throughout the chateau. LOL

Anonymous

This was a lovely idea for a Patreon video. Good to see everything that has been done and the work done just this year.

Anonymous

Welcome back, Michael!

Ramon

Can't wait to see the chapel restored.

Anonymous

Wonderful to get a little recap of all the progress even though I’ve been watching all along! Just can’t get enough. 😂 Thank you for giving us another wonderful video.

Anonymous

I loved the tour around the chateau! So many things happening. You have such a vision, Stephanie, of how you want the chateau to grow and be restored! 😁 ❤️🌸

Anonymous

I had a thought about heating the new apartments. Have you looked at the ductless heat pumps. The technology is really efficient now. I have one that works beautifully in my canadian home. They are relatively inexpensive, cost pennies to run, and are easy to install. Worth exploring.

Anonymous

Nice to see Michael again Just thinking that a lemon and lime tree would be great in the orchard I have a mature lemon tree at home and it’s so great to pick a lemon 🍋 off when required The limes could be used in cocktails 🍹

Anonymous

Glad to see Michael Marie Antwon and (not see)Nick all home again. Great tour. Patiently waiting for Gerry Isabelle and Percy to return soon. 😀

Anonymous

I loved the tour. It makes me so happy to see all the projects and improvements. Thanks for letting me be a small part of this adventure. Sending much love.

Anonymous

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I love seeing Michael Potts and his enthusiasm is contagious. Wish he was there all the time. Also, we laughed out loud when you said "when" or "if" the chapel restorer was going to come. We live on the coast of Oregon, US and we always say we are on island time, because people come when they want to.

Anonymous

Glad you have more friends back now Stephine,it's alot to manage. All going so well!x

Anonymous

I really enjoyed that so much and it’s so good to see Michael again😊

Anonymous

Great video as always! Following on from what Michael was saying about natties apartment, 3 doors is over kill. Maybe a fake half glazed door to the courtyard, so from outside it still looks uniform but then sealed inside. She would still have access via the chateau passage way. Also adding the door and opening the windows at the back seems OTT…. Just drop the widows down and make them both small french doors, no need for the middle one..

Anonymous

Such exciting works - it was really lovely to see Michael's delight at all the changes. It must feel so wonderful to have all this activity at the chateau and the knowledge that your long-held dreams are fruiting. I'm so happy for you all.

Anonymous

If you decide to go with the pellet heating system in Nati's apartment, you could turn your own firewood into pellets :)

Anonymous

I love it all, but I’m really excited about the terrace and hope to see more of it being restored. 👍🏻😊

Anonymous

It's fab seeing everyone come back to the Chateau! It's really going to come to life this summer! X

Anonymous

It was fun to see Michael’s reaction to all of the projects. He’s been there all along and worked so hard in the past. It must be very gratifying for him to see so much progress! Just one note about the chickens, are. They still going to have a strong shelter to go into at night? Just saw how Chateau de Roseries lost half of their chickens to a pine marten who got in through the smallest of breaches. It was so sad.

Anonymous

What a great video! I've been watching the various projects, but it was a very nice progress report on most of the chateau. It was fun to see you guys pitching ideas back and forth. Thank you!

Anonymous

Thank you. I enjoyed the tour with all of you.! Amazing how much is going on at the same time. :)

Tina Winther

Lovely! I like Michael’s idea of a portrait studio in the one end of the attic!

Anonymous

All of you are so lovely! It feels my heart to see the happiness all of this work is bringing the Lalande family ❤️ so exciting 😊

Anonymous

Fabulous. And that coat, Stephanie. 5 stars.

Anonymous

I really liked this! I think, I even asked for it in an earlier comment 😁 But I'd actually really like a more in depth tour again, as I feel like a lot of artwork must have been added in the different rooms?

Anonymous

Great to see your co-owners back at home. They must be taken aback at all the changes that are going on. Loved the walk round with Michael.

Anonymous

The cachepots, in my understanding, don't have drainage holes. It will kill all your plants. Better to put the plants in flowerpots, and the flowerpots in the cachepots. Masonry stain very artistically applied might be one way to make your new cobblestone gutter on the terrace blend in with the older stone. https://homeguides.sfgate.com/techniques-making-new-stone-retaining-wall-look-old-32881.html

Anonymous

So good to see Michael again. Such a handsome fella. I'm glad he's happy about all the work being done. Things are a bit messy, but it will be beautiful soon enough. I would have liked to have seen his reaction to the gorgeous paneling you bought for the Grand Salon. Such an amazing find and it will bring the Chateau so much history and beauty when your cousin installs it. So much to look forward to. I hope you take time to enjoy all these wonderful people, Stephanie. I hate that you all have been apart for so long. Lots of love and hugs to you. <3 <3 <3

Love this week's Video! So great to see Michael back at La Lande!

Anonymous

My favorite type of video, walk around the Chateau and chat. Make me feel like i’m part of the conversation. Thank you for sharing the Chateau with us.

Anonymous

Looking good! This was a fun video! It was nice to see all the recent works with Michael’s comments and input.

Anonymous

Thank you, I received my Lady of Lalande card today. It made me smile.

Anonymous

It is lovely to see more of the Lalande family return. :) Seeing all the changes reviewed on the tour was mind blowing. Wow, there has been a lot accomplished!

Anonymous

Maybe a beautiful French-style cover over a radiator could be a lovely compromise for the heating in Natalia's apartment. There are some gorgeous Louis XIV style-inspired ones online.

Anonymous

This really does show just how much has happened! Good to see Michael there and the others coming back as well. Should be an exciting year.

Deby Davis

how wonderful to have everyone back Stephanie- they must be blown away by the progress !!!!

Anonymous

This was so cool. It must make you feel so happy to show all the amazing progress you've made around the chateau. It really is A LOT!! I recently tiered up from Lady to Vicomtesse because, really, I just love you all and want to support this beautiful thing you've got going on. Wish it could be more but I just want you to know how much fun you bring us all! Cheers!

Anonymous

👏🏻👍🏻♥️

Anonymous

Davey is so sweet.

Anonymous

We need a system to differentiate Michael Potts, Michael Petherick, Marie Wiik, and Marie, Nicks wife. And the Ians.

Anonymous

Even though we have seen this the progress week after week, it was wonderful to see Michael’s reaction to it. He has given everything so much thought. I had hoped you would have a chance to see the paneling but perhaps he did as well as the discovery about the moat. I know how he loves it. Great vlog! I know that I look forward to all the vlogs and can’t wait to see them but if you need to stop one, do it for the CD on Thursday and give yourself two days (Thursday and Friday). We would all understand. You need a break!

Anonymous

fun to see all the changes

Anonymous

Completely enjoyable, sitting in my chair pointing to new things to show Michael!

Anonymous

Stephanie you have accomplished so much in such a short time! It is wonderful to experience this journey with you and all the Lalanders🌸

Anonymous

If I heard right, you are growing Parsimmons. These are a wonder southern fruit tree. Jams and jelly's made from this fruit is spectacular. Warning if you eat a persimmon too early it is like growing a ball of hair in your mouth. It is a joke among some Southerners to give a northerner a raw persimmon to eat. It's definitely an experience

Anonymous

There is no shortage of trees for the owl to inhabit should you close up the barn. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Anonymous

That was SO much fun! Thanks for sharing - it feels like we're there, too!

Anonymous

Love the walks around the chateau and the grounds! It must be amazing to come after being away and see the changes! Well done all!

Anonymous

Wow, it is really moving along for the better. Such a joy to see choices working out so well.

Anonymous

Stephanie, you really got so lucky to find Nick and Michael in University to go on this crazy adventure with! I just love how excited Michael was by all the changes. And your joy is just contagious, as well!

Anonymous

Joy! Joy! Joy! Thank you so much for showing us around with Michael. Welcome back, Michael! I feel such an excitement and joy to see all the changes going on at La Lande. I loved the fact that we felt Michael's awe and enthusiasm when he saw all the changes. I have to say, your new Boudoir is going to be FABULOUS! And I love the canters that Philip picked out and hope you'll drop a few fairy lights around them and a mirror to see them in all their splendor! The Chapel, is OMG > the LIGHT! I see the colors are so - so - so VIBRANT. I'm gobsmacked at the purples, blues. and reds! The trees coming down have totally transformed the inside of the Chapel. Amazing! Also, thank you for showing us your gorgeous walled in garden > just Amaz-balls! And.... I did hear the phrase..... "Bug Triage?" and I was like ... What? What? Someone is talking my lingo? Ummm. ya! I do software dev in NJ now but I used to work in NYC - so if you guys ever need some nerd stuff or 'whatever' I'd be happy to help. I used to work at HBO in midtown and also a few other places in Manhattan. Now, I live a nice 'soft' comfortable life out in the countryside of New Jersey... lol . Also, I must thank you, Stephanie for bringing back to 'who I am.' I've always been a cook, but now... I've shifted and been more of a gardener, took up French, (not sure how that's going? c'est mal.) I started painting and I'm focusing on aligning myself with my love of renovation and interior design. *cough* there maybe a random fairy door lying around the house and perhaps even a Gerry the gnome.... But, it's all good. Because it's all art - and a bit of whimsy! Much Love xoxxo Laura >> > and to the Fantastic Philip you are such an AmAzInG asset to La Lande. All the best!

Jodi and Scott Barck

I loved this walk around. I missed Michael❤️. So cute how he wants a photography studio in that space. Very nice. Great video

Anonymous

I'm with Michael on preserving the terrace - one of the most-used places at the Chateau. I feel that a larger scale attack on its preservation may soon be required, though I have been in the position of being able to only fix smaller parts of a larger project myself. Please have the masons haul out that crumbling fireplace someday, too. :) Also very glad that Michael drew attention to the keystone/water issue on the outside of the structure. The fabric of the building is such a treasure! I worry that exposing the decorated ceiling may be so expensive, and also challenge its preservation - it has lived all these centuries tucked into that attic and looks quite happy undisturbed. Perhaps it would be less expensive to have an artist replicate it lower down, rather than expose and utilize the original? Just a thought. I think the idea of a shop/refreshment stand is a great one - this pandemic has helped us all relearn the value of a day out in the sun and the garden. You could open just the garden off the terrace on certain days (Bring Your Own Picnic days,) have the shop with art cards and treasures and prints, a case freezer with frozen treats, a standing fridge with local cheeses and so on stocked by local farmers and restaurants, and a customer loo in one of the horse stalls. That loo could even be accessible for disabled guests perhaps, and of course be decorated with horsey themes. The stables are such a nice big open space if you have a large party for a meal - for your own use, and if a guest hosted a large dinner/lunch/wedding luncheon. It would be good if any shop items can be pushed to the side easily for using the space for meals/concerts/events. I live in a rural area and many wedding venues are turning to semi-open-air dining spaces due to pandemic restrictions. I used to think that opening a pizza/ice cream shop in the baking suite was a good idea, but I think that Lalanders use it enough to keep it for themselves and special guests or events. :) Also, you can get specialized nets for your fruit trees to preserve your crops for home use - they can cover just a few key branches or whole fruit trees. Folks use them a lot where I live. Please keep keeping on, Stephanie and everyone near and far who treasures this treasure! And thank you, as ever, for helping me so much in a time of need. oxoxo

Anonymous

BREAD. I forgot to say the shop could get extra deliveries of BREAD when the house does. :) Also the idea of a photo studio space is a welcome one. And woodburners and their ashes get very laborious, very quickly. Electric heat is the way to go - very soon solar/turbines will make electric the obvious choice and it gets more affordable all the time. Also, how will Natalia place her furniture if one whole wall is full length glass doors? To save money, you could skip the central double doors and the bed and bedside tables could go there, with a single door where each window is framing the sleeping area.

Anonymous

Everything is going to look so good! I am so glad for you Stephanie!

Anonymous

Loved it!! Love all the work. So much to follow. Fantastic. I hope Michael can stay longer now that there’s better internet he can work remotely

Anonymous

I agree. so much fun to be walking around and looking at whats being done with Michael. thanks so much. Great vlog but as someone pointed out if you need more free time YOU should seriously think about taking it.

Anonymous

This was so fun to follow along on! <3

Anonymous

I was crying at the end with Michael talking about how much our help is a dream. I keep thinking about how lucky I am to have found Stephanie and that my small donation is going to such beautiful and important renovations. Plus I love the postcards with Michael's beautiful photos of the chateau. I have them on my fridge and look at them every day! It all just makes me so happy. I love videos like this too. I feel like I am part of the amazing people who live there! I'm so excited to have a lot of people back at the chateau right now as well!❤️ 🏰

Anonymous

Such fun to share your walk as you showed Michael the fabulous progress! Thanks. Did I see a large artichoke in the garden way in the back on the right last bed? It's at the place when you are delighting in the clematis blossom (about 40:25). Have you gotten produce yet? Just curious.

Anonymous

Everything is really coming together. I was waiting for you to say where Natis bed would be . Those arches are really going to look amazing when the flowers vine around them .

Anonymous

Oh hooray! I’m so excited to watch this. We are Team Michael Potts in this house. Not that he’s on a team competing AGAINST anyone, of course, just very much fans of Michael Potts.

Anonymous

That was a wonderful tour with Michael. So glad to see him back at the Chateau, and the others, too!! It makes it feel like things are coming full circle, and moving forward, at once. 🌸🌸

Anonymous

I’d meant to ask about your Polish chickens. A friend had them, but said they were so small and docile that her other chickens killed them. I’m glad yours are separated!!

Anonymous

How lovely to see Michael and other Lalanders coming back ‘home’. The chateau has never been boring with the few full time residents but it’s great that the others are allowed to travel back to the mothership! It was wonderful to see the extent of the progress being made in the chateau and it’s grounds, it just brings home how much work is being done, what a hive of activity! I love the fact that being one of many Patrons I’m able to think I’ve played a small part in the restoration of your beautiful home. Keep up the good work everyone, you’re doing a fabulous job. I enjoyed this catch up very much! ❤️

Anonymous

You can use pheromene traps and sticky insect catching tapey things ( ? ) Also paint the base of the trees with lime helps. xoxoxo

Anonymous

Great stuff. Nice to see Michael back. When he stood underneath the chandelier in the loo, it looked too low. Also, it's ravens at the tower of London, not rooks.

Anonymous

Such a fun walkthrough!

Anonymous

Stephanie your absolute joy at showing all the changes to Michael filled me with joy too! Thank you so much for sharing this with us xx

Anonymous

Your vlog has made such a difference during lockdown, thank you Stephanie. We are South Africans who have renovated a farm house in the Dordogne and love living in France. We plan to visit you when the lock down permits. It is lovely to see Michael back and hope he will be around to take more of his amazing photos. Tell the La Lande team that they are amazing.

Anonymous

Brilliant! Loved wandering around with you both ❤️

Gabrielle Baalke

Stephanie's outfits are always so stunningly uplifting. Not quite sure why, but seeing Stephanie's outfits always puts me in a good mood. It 'brings me joy.' :) And I love Garden Corner. And the photography studio--what a fantastic idea, to take photos of guests of Lalande! Being a Patron of this Chateau is one of the best things I've ever done. Thank you ever so much, Stephanie and Phillip and everyone. Gabrielle xx

Anonymous

Concerning the poo from the screech owl: You can protect the floor by laying out foils. These foils can easily be taken away for a foto shoot or else and afterwards put back again. That is how a friend of mine protects his dojo mats in the attic from bat poo. And in this way you can easily hoover the floors and do not have to scrub them.

Anonymous

So lovely to see your friends arrive to the chateau again.. I've missed them, they are so much fun....

Anonymous

Yes me too & smelling so lovely, it made my day 🙂

Anonymous

It’s great to start seeing folks returning. Can’t wait for Scotman - and your mother, of course. ❤️

Anonymous

Be sure to get small aperture fruit tree nets to avoid entangling and maiming bats. Bats are pollinators. We need them. Safe = apertures too small to poke your finger through. https://www.wires.org.au/wildlife-info/wildlife-factsheets/wildlife-friendly-netting

Anonymous

I just joined as a patron and I can't thank you enough for allowing us to accompany you on your journey. This is truly fascinating and is so greatly appreciated. So nice getting to look at the behind the scenes a bit more. Thank you for all you do!

Anonymous

Yes, I was pretty thrilled to see the first blooms of the clematis blossoms Davy recommended so long ago, actually come into being. Good omens! And trenching for the automated irrigation, and Matt's new pipeline, and Dan's good attention, means the garden this year will be the very best it's been. So excited. Oyster flavored lettuce, bring it on! https://www.suttons.co.uk/james-wong/seeds/oyster-leaf-plant-seeds_MH-64040

Anonymous

I became a patron just over a year ago and I am amazed by the progress that has been made in that time! I'm happy to see the very important underpinning/structural work in more detail. Beautiful finishes are wonderful but meaningless if the structure beneath is not seen to. So glad you are not skimping on the less glamorous details. Congratulations!

Julia Cobb

It’s so exciting to see all that has happened since Jan and Michael’s last visit! In 4 short months all the changes. I dream of Lalande occasionally and I’m so happy there. Thank you, Stephanie for allowing us to share this journey with all of you. So much has happened since this time last year. Waiting patiently for Isabell and Percy and especially Scotsman to return. Can’t wait for them to see all that has happened since they were here in person.

Anna Ibarra

Michael, your back, nice to see you at LaLande. I guess it is truly a lot if you hadn't seen it since Christmas. It was such a treat seeing it again thru Michaels eyes. Stephanie you have such wonderful people in your life, many that work to help you get this chateau back to it's beautiful state. I love it and seeing it with back door entrance is just so wonderful to be a small part of this. I love it. So happy to see Michael, hopefully "Ruthpunzel" as I still love to refer her to, Nick, Marie & Antoine and Davey. Such a delight at LaLande. Now we need for Scotman, Percy & Isabel to come home. I know "Mummy" may not want to return now, as so much construction being done right by her apt.. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!!!

Katie Roberts Art

I love seeing Micheal come up with the studio idea. It kind of fits with an idea I had to turn the space into a sewing and costume studio. (I know you’d have to cover the sewing tables etc when not being used) but imagine if it was a ‘dress up’ space with a photographic studio on the side! You’ve been wondering where to have a sewing studio!

Katie Roberts Art

Another idea I had for the stables is to have them as painting/art studios - it kind of fits with your shop idea too. What if there were 6 little studios in there, where artists/creators could make and sell there wears? Imagine jewellery, cards, artworks, woodwork (made next door) etc. I love the idea of using these buildings and the courtyard as a place of the arts, resurrecting old arts perhaps. Guest artists could come and work and in the spring and summer you could open it up. I see you holding occasional festival/market days where you could set up in the courtyard with wood fired food and pizza's being made and sold, people sitting out on tables under umbrellas with giant pots of fruit trees. A concert going on on the stage area in the largest space (with wood still there, stacked on the sides) I see the couple of other appartments being for artists looking into that space too. Above the stage a communal half outdoor summer lounge area looking out and down onto the view. I have drawn it all up! <3

Anonymous

Thank you again for this wonderful video....We all love you all soooo very much!!!!! All of the best positive energy in you direction...With love for the beautiful Lalande!!! Mychelle-Anne

On the tour this morning I thought I heard Stephanie use the words “planning approval” when referring to enlarging a window. Do you have inspections and permits, etc.? I wan t to see what building code book they use 🙂

Anonymous

Welcome back Micheal !

Anonymous

Old friends returning is the most exciting thing - hurrah!

Anonymous

The Clematis, like to have their root base covered.Dont know why but it works.I use slates.

Anonymous

It's really exciting to watch nearly every corner of Lalande coming to life. There's so much going on ☺. Well done to you all for all your hard work 😘

Anonymous

love the idea of shops. Hope you keep the stall dividers, Such eomderful ambience

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie, your version of Natie's and Jerry's windows is Lux but Michaels version makes sense to my eyes with the balance and with that building. it is difficult to put the Lux version down because it is so beautiful.

Anonymous

It’s all fantastic. I’m so glad I have been able to be part of all this. As a Patron from fairly early on the excitement of seeing all the amazing ideas and plans coming to fruition is so very satisfying and rewarding. I have nothing but praise and admiration for what is being achieved. It’s all done with such passion and love, it fills my heart with happiness seeing everything coming together.

Anonymous

I really enjoyed this walk with Michael. He is so appreciative of everything that’s been done. Also a big thank you for my lovely postcard that I received this week from you! A very exciting piece of mail, I will be putting it straight into my personal journal to save forever!

Anonymous

Totally agree with Michael on the windows x

Anonymous

Things are moving along very well! I am so very happy for you all & for La Lande! Cannot wait for your cousin to arrive to start on the paneling! And to kick start your new office / bedroom / private living space!!!!

Anonymous

OH, and I forgot to mention, that I LOVE the chest of drawers & chair! As well as the chandelier & chair set you had gotten earlier! I really want to see your entire private living quarters blinged to the max! As much and as long as you have loved the chateau, you greatly deserve a grand proper private space to call your own! Cannot wait!

Anonymous

You have created projects to last for years of vlogging! Such fun to follow. I can't decide whether I am a crazy person who enjoy this every week (and being a patreon) or whether I'm just a regular person of the 2020's watching there favourite show and giving something back. In any case, thank you for the vlogs!

Melissa M Thiessen

I'm sure someone can figure out how to put a light below the decanters. I wondered why M had on that hat down in the kitchen.

The flower you called a delphinium along the wall of the garden is actually a lupine and its beautiful. I need to try and plant some of them.

Anonymous

I love the bathroom, even in its unfinished state, because the chandelier makes me so happy!

Anna Timm

I love having Michael in such a long video, he is so clever and fun. It was really delightful to see his face when he got to see all the things in person that he was just seeing on video before! Thanks for sharing, everyone!

Anonymous

Every time I see Michael now that quote from the US article pops into my head. “The impossibly dashing Michael Potts”. Can’t shake it off. Loved the video, you missed out the panelling?

Congratulations, looks like you've met the 💲3️⃣0️⃣k ✔ target....get those deflated balloons back 🎈🎆

I loved this. Thank you for taking us along. It was fun to see the updates through Michael's eyes and also to hear the brainstorming about the future.

Anonymous

Michael is right about the window's in Jerry's apartment. They should look like the rest of the facade. Cheers from Canada!

Anonymous

I'm a southern girl too and love persimmons. They are wonderful but you must wait until after the first frost to eat them. And, Stephanie, it is pronounced with the accent on the "simm"!

Anonymous

But the larger window are exactly what happens between Nicolas’ cottage and Michael and Isabel’s apartments so it follows a pattern in the front. But I am okay with either.

Anonymous

Dear Stephanie, and all of the gang of La Lande + Patrons.... This comment has NOTHING to do with your above video. But, I was watching an old vlog with Gerry and the creation of the "Scotsman." Now, here in the US - I visit a lot of Celtic festivals and back in the day - a few Irish Pubs. One of my favorite Irish Singers is "Seamus Kennedy" who sings "The Scotsman" .... I don't think you would of heard it in the UK or in France. I think many of you from La Lande and Gerry and All the Patrons would have a "Hoot" listening to the song... Make sure you're all together when you listen to it. Along, with a glass of cheer! Slainte! and God Bless xoxox Laura https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtE7ut5GTzE

Denise Behrends

Michael, so lovely to have you back at the chateau! It’s always wonderful to have a different set of eyes on projects to offer unique insights and ideas. How rewarding to tour all the projects through your delightful perspective! These glimpses behind the scenes are always so appreciated!

Anonymous

So happy to see all these people returning to LaLande!!!

Anonymous

Stephanie I have figured it out and you are “Christmas”! Your love of yellow, tops the tree as a star shining brightly bringing everyone towards the beautiful twinkle lights representing every laughter, story and beautiful memories shared with all of us. The gifts under the tree represent each one of the wonderful friends and family that fill Lalande. The baubles that decorate this amazing tree represent each one of the many lives you’ve touched and continue to touch. Like Christmas Lalande is magical! Love this! Good to see the tour of everything all it once. It is a reminder and also is cohesive. Great to see Michael back and hope he can come more often. He, like all Lalanders adds his own wit and insight to the happenings at Laland. I was going to come this year with my sister and friends for my special birthday and of course, like many, could not due to Covid. But I am not sad, because although it might be a year or two or three, there will be so much more to do and see at Laland when I am finally able to get there. Happy to be able to support all your efforts!

Hey Stephanie. I started watching Chateau DIY lately and just caught up the episodes you appeared in. Can't believe you were a World of Warcraft player! Good job on the digger! Must have been so different now you have more funds to pay for all the jobs. Hope your dream of finishing all the rooms come true very soon!

Looking forward to Mummy and Percy coming back to see all of the changes at the Chateau. Hopefully very soon.

The Clematis will look just like the pictures. I grew many clematis plants and they always looked just like the pictures....even better. The arches are going to look amazing! Love it!

Why not do infloor heating for Nati’s apartment?

Anonymous

It's because they plan to use wood flooring. Here in Europe they won't put wood flooring above infloor heating. It's strange because in the US it is done, and the wood floors are just fine...

This was such a fun video!

I wonder whether the more modern plantation of trees were meant to be harvested for the wedding of a daughter. "Rather charmingly, French fathers traditionally plant a grove of poplars when their daughters are born. The idea is that they will be mature and ready to fell just when the daughter gets married, and the proceeds from the sale of the poplar wood funds the wedding festivities. You can always tell a family with ugly daughters because their poplars are left to get old and gnarled." https://bit.ly/3x5fGFy
