The fridge thing is amusing! I am American and our family does not drink colas / sodas / beer. We get our eggs directly from our “egg lady” so our eggs do not have to be refrigerated. We have a garden but no cold room so things from there either put in the fridge or are canned / frozen / dried straight away. No processed meals here; we cook from scratch. I love the look of Smeg fridges but haven’t bought one because they just seem so small compared to what I am used to! Perhaps the French shop more often than we do, so have to store less at a time? We tend to purchase groceries every 10-12 days or so in our home.

I love that a second channel was created for charity. I’m not a huge fan of the unboxing but love love the everyday blogs. I was never concerned about patron money going to anything but the chateau. But frankly I pay for it because it brings me joy. I honestly don’t care where the money goes as long as I can get away a couple times a week. I always end up with a huge smile. That’s worth every penny.

Thanks for the super update. Please, Please don't start making your videos where some of it is just an ad pushing a product. Your Best Buddy did a 20 minute video the other day and 10 minutes was him doing an ad for the game he was pushing. A lot of Vloggers do this but I find it a total sell out. I would rather double my monthly Patron amount than to see videos that would be mostly pushing a product. Don't change too much Stephanie the bigger you get. You are now somewhat of a Brand and we all want to support you for a long time. :-)

Poor Diesel he’s so lost without Selmar. Love the new vlog and the money going to charities. Can’t wait to see the finished chapel window and the loo. I’ve already remodeled the winter salon and turned it into a fabulous library (in my mind anyway 🤣). Has the stone wall been fixed since the jacks are no longer in the grotto holding it up??

As a newbie Patron I am excited to hear all the news directly. Love the idea of the charity vlog but concerned as Tallulah mentioned about the amount of funds that are taken out for "administration " so not a lot of money goes to where it'll do the most good. And when I heard the barking at first I had to pause the video to check it wasn't my dog, Jasper annoying the neighbours. Glad to hear Diesel stopped when Selmar arrived home. Have a wonderful time in Avignon. It's one place I visited on my grand tour of France in 2010 that was very memorable. A x

Wonder if the French wallpaper company, that prints digitally, could possibly help reproduce the wallpaper in your attic bedroom. If you’re ever short on ideas for Sunday’s at the Chateau, it would be interesting to get an even more in depth exploration of Chambre Bonne Maman and Chambre Rose, similar to the episodes on your other B&B rooms.

Your ability to talk to camera in such a relaxed manner always amazes me. I spent many years in acting school and was never comfortable with the camera. Put me on stage with an audience and Im at home. I believe your charity choices will end up being controversial. Im sure there will be many people and projects in your area that will need help. Maybe speak to your Mayor about it. Otherwise you are going to end up with heartbreaking sob stories from viewers about certain illness s. I assure you , you dont want to put yourself through that. My downstairs powder room is super small, so I wanted to be very creative with ways to save space. I got a French lavabo instead of a lavatory. It's porcelain, with painted flowers. Really lovely, with a shell shape. Something like that might be pretty in your loo and it's unusual. And since you are in France, you probably have a better selection to choose from. Mine actually came from Belgium, but was made in France.

Stephanie, thank you once again for the in depth review regarding all that is happening at the Chateau. I am one of the patreons that never received a note from you and it is ok. You have a lot to do each and every week. I love the wallpaper and also know that you deserve that wonderful gift from Spode. I am sure their inventory has been depleted as a result of you! I am an avid shopper and the resale prices have been climbing for “used” pieces. So sorry to hear the trip on the Orient Express has to be postponed especially for Nick and Marie. Have you ever heard of Tim Corrigan? He is an American designer and is working on his second Chateau in France. His first was sold as a petite hotel. Due to the virus, he has not been able to travel back but is working to restore it long distance. You might like to see his work. I Love the new channel! I think this new channel setup is a wonderful idea and "pays it forward" to others. And so. Gift giving carries on in a beautiful way! I loved your solution to commercialization. I think it is fantastic that the impact you're having is being recognized by these companies - it is real, and there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't be rewarded for it. (I, like probably many others, purchased Blue Spode (on sale, yippee!) because I fell in love with it after learning about the history - I'd been in the market for new plates anyway, and I didn't know that that was what I'd been looking for until I saw them! They make me so happy every time I use them. It will be fascinating to see what you can show us with the increased access you'll gain from these collaborations. As a hobbyist potter the Limoges vlog has been one of my absolute favorites - I have been lock down dreaming of coming to visit and doing a factory tour. I can only imagine how excited you are to visit the Fortuny showroom! Thank you for the continued integrity and transparency - these are the things that make me want to continue as a patron and hope that if the economy improves I can do more in the future.

I definitely store my eggs in the fridge, and don't have access to an egg lady (I'm in the city) so I tend to hold things for quite a while. Especially with Covid i've been holding a bit more than usual, because from week to week availability of vegetables, eggs, and milk have been dicey. I had a couple no egg, no fresh veg or fruit weeks so while I'm not hoarding, i'm planning my weeks ahead a lot more carefully!

Hello Stephanie! The new channel is a brilliant idea. I have already subscribed and feel very happy supporting charities while watching it! The wallpaper you chose for the loo is just perfect! I agree with the commercialization strategy you propose: asking a discount in exchange of presence in your channel is the way to go. I am afraid that the timing to create a line of La Lande merchandise is not good: we are heading to a big recession, there are too many products on the market, and it may saturate/alienate consumers, even viewers from the channel.

Could you find a fridge to fit where one of those large double cupboards are? You can leave one large one there for random kitchen storage and then put a smaller one where the old fridge is at as a pantry for dry goods and non perishables.

How lovely it was to wake up this morning to this wonderful Patreon video! Hearing Diesel in the background didn’t bother me at all, I live in the Spanish ‘campo’ and there are always dogs barking somewhere! I have four of my own who can be quite vocal at times! I bet he was glad to see Selmar come home with his new woodworking buys! The wallpaper for the loo is beautiful and in keeping with the Château and it’s surroundings. It’s just perfect! I love the new ‘unwrapped’ channel and think it’s great that you’re helping charities at the same time. You should get a fridge company to sponsor or give you a good deal on a fridge as it is always seen in the background of your kitchen scenes. I love Smeg but unless you go for the stainless stell ones they don't have much inside space, there is an Italian brand called Fhiaba that has amazing fridges you might want to check out. Hugs xxx

I think the new unboxing video for charity is such an incredible thing to do. I wholeheartedly support this and feel all warm and fuzzy because you have chosen this route. I am sitting here typing and listening and wishing I was closer as I have done tile work in ceramic that is like what you describe your panoramic to be. Small scale for kitchen backsplash but I can visualize something like it in your bathroom.

I received my card this week. It's so pleasing to see the progress being made and to understand the reasons for delays. I think Stephanie is pushing this all forward in a very good way . I used to visit Philippe Starck's home and one day he had hung a huge Murano chandelier in the blackboard painted toilet and of course it came down so he had scaffolding made to hold it so when you went to the loo you sat under a scaffolding frame looking up at an enormous gorgeous chandelier. Weird mix with all the guests having drawn something naughty mostly then the Murano under the industrial steel!

What a wonderful idea to take a break to Provence !!! When in Avignon you need to visit the hotel la Mirande .for decor inspiration. Murals everywhere with skilfully combined fabrics. A lot of Pierre Frey , Zuber etc. After their renovation many years ago I stayed there to be inspired . Unfortunately I hear it is terrible expensive now but may be you can swing a deduction. If not , an afternoon tea or lunch on their amazing terrace treating your hardworking Mum , would be good too. And you would be able to see their wonderful public spaces and their Loos. Bon voyage. In regards to not having heard back from the office at guild , I am not surprised. I have an idea what one could do , but I would rather explain in a private email . Stephanie, my daughter sent me your vlog about blue and white porcelain. It was the first one I watched, and I have been hooked ever since. I just want to tell you that she is just 24 and is saving her money for her MBA and putting a little more back to purchase a house of her own one day. In the meantime she is collecting blue and white China of various patterns. No two alike. She figures she might as well start on that and be enjoying it now. You have inspired her so. She has dealt with anxiety since she was 16 and your vlogs help her cope when it gets bad. She had a butter yellow room growing up and wants that same color in her future kitchen. I have gotten rid of furniture that didn’t make me happy. I now only have my antique pieces and things that compliment them. Like your father’s art, we have my husband’s grandmother’s art on our walls. They all are beautiful and make me happy. Thank you for being our inspiration always. I would love to see unseen part of videos shared on Youtube that Ihave been cut in editing because you didn't want to post a 2 hours videos for example. Like your shopping with mummy, I am sure you already have footage so instead of making new video footage just for us on patreon, uses what you have! I am sure there are parts that are lovely and could be use?! I see it like the extra on a movie DVD. :) or behind the scene. So if you do have lots of footage cut on editing that you wouldn't mind share, that would be less work for you and a sure joy for us to watch! :) :)

I’m a new Patreon and decided after some thought to be, as I think Stephanie is the soul of the chateau and her open transparency of everything is what makes her diaries so endearing. I love the history, the food and the garden, and the travels. I know it must be a full time job but appreciate so much and hence happy to support the chateau in anyway I can....I will look forward to visiting as a guest one day, and genuinely look forward to the Vlogs every week. I don't mean signs it - which is is what I would do... but PROPERLY writes it... so she is a bit behind because she has thousands of Patreons and people shift around... and she is working about 60 hrs a week on vlogs so it will be a bit - but it will come 😊❤

Can I please put in a 'charity' request for one of the causes to be supported by the 'Cadeau at the Chateau' videos. I'm from the UK and usually live in the Lake District where I'm a year round swimmer mainly in Lake Windermere. Close by in a place called Grange-Over-Sands is an Art Deco outdoor swimming pool (lido) by the sea. The council wanted to concrete it over, but a lot of folks have got together and fought hard to save it and to get the council to stop their plans (provided we could raise the funds to take it on as a community project) and we are now working with an architect to get the place restored as a useable lido for future generations to enjoy. We have an application in with the Lottery Heritage fund but would need to raise half the funding as it will be matched by the Heritage fund. I'm currently writing and donating one of my murder mystery books towards the fundraising, and am one of the friends (£25 a year/£2.50 a month). It's a project that could really benefit from a bit of a boost, both in people knowing it exists and in benefitting from some extra funds. I'll pop the link here so you can see photos of the pool and architecture, but if you could please add it to what I'm sure is a growing list of very worthy causes, that would really make my day.
