So to all the guys out there of a certain age (myself included), get yourself checked out. Prostate cancer is one of the biggest health problems for men, yet we don't talk about it or don't go and see our doctor.

Oh my goodness. Where do I start? This was the BEST interview. I absolutely love you Gerry. I cried with you when you told your wonderful human story of hope, generosity and survival, and, as a fellow cancer survivor, shared your joy at the good cancer news. I hope that a homeless charity will be chosen as one of the beneficiaries from the advertising revenue from the cadeau videos. I am incensed and ashamed that we have such high levels of homelessness, poverty and hunger in what is supposed to be a civilised country. However, I feel like I am part of something truly special so thank you so much Lalanders for enriching my life and saving my sanity.

Gerald's story is truly heartwarming. As a Genetic Genealogist, I help individuals find biological family and it's not always a happy reunion. This relationship is the perfect example that we can choose our family! I have seen it happen dozens of times now, but the best reunions are when the biological and adoptive families fall in love with each other. Gerald's blended family is lovely to hear about. It's obvious that he cherishes them each so much.

I saw a man fall over like that and I had to get people to call an ambulance as they just thought that he was drunk. It was very impressive, a lot of blood and no one would stay with him so I cradled him and told him he was going to be taken care off and then when the emergency people arrived I had to forcibly tell them that he wasn't drunk and told them how he fell. I never knew if he made it but it stuck in my mind. I also helped three people with epileptic fits , one on the eurostart in the station where people just turned their heads, dreadful. I managed to convince them to call the controller and the ambulance and had someone hold her feet as I kept her calm. I am horrified by the way people behave in emergencies. Sorry that was a side story, LOVE hearing Jerry, I was born in Glasgow but left aged three! Love to all.

What a wonderful interview, it went to quickly! Gerry you're a very special person and very cherished by your family and the La Landers. Even though you don't know me, I feel like you're apart of the family, including the rest of the team. I've lost both my Grandparents to cancer this year (they'd been together over 60 years) and lost other family due to choices I've made, but that's their loss. I feel so close to you all and so lucky to have found you all. Please ensure that you all take some time to rest as well, I'm sure for you Stephanie doing so many videos a week tires you out. I cannot wait to subscribe to the new channel for the gift openings, I think its a wonderful way to give back to the community and charities that you will support.

It’s always so interesting to me how natural Storytellers are always initially drawn to the stage or film, but then can find their calling in other ways. A taxi driver should always be able to entertain and I can see why Gerry is so successful there.

I just have to say that I have watched just about every video and I think this one moved me the most. Gerry, your compassion and purpose in life are truly inspirational. I feel like lately I have lost my way a bit and this has inspired me to think about what I really want in life and who I want to surround myself with. I love this video. My Grandpa came over from Scotland in the late 1930's . He passed before I was born but I have so many cassettes with his voice and it sounds like Gerry. I also grew up with my Dad teaching us words like trousers, lads and lassies and then going to school and having no one understand what we were talking about. Hahaha. Scotland is so dear to my heart. I am the volunteer coordinator for our local Celtic Festival and I wait all year to hear the bagpipes up and close( I work out to them in my headphones all the time) Thanks for sharing Gerry with us. He is wonderful.

I’m a new patron making my way through the videos here. I realize no one will ever see this comment, but I want to make it anyway....Even before Gerald told the story of helping the homeless man, I kept saying to myself, ‘That man (Gerry) has a golden soul’. Somehow in my mind I kept repeating that statment as he told his stories. And then as Stephanie and Gerald went on to speak about “karma” and how blessed they feel that so many good things have come to them in this venture, I realized how true that statement is. They are receiving so much positivity form people around the world because they exemplify a staggering level kindness, generosity, and joy— the foundations from which love springs. I became a patron not because of the Chateau needing funds, but because of the absolutely beautiful souls there, particularly Stephanie, Isabelle, and Gerry. They are rare human beings on this earth.
