Hello and Thank You to the best patrons on the planet! Everyone at Lalande is absolutely speechless. When I set up this Patreon account (only 4 months ago!) I hoped that it would help us with some of the costs of running and renovating this wonderful chateau. I did not expect it to change our lives in this way! Lalande is facing an absolutely glorious future because of you all.

As most of you voted for the Structural Engineer to come and look at the terrace for the $13,000 target (Mummy is delightedly sourcing one), this time I went for your second choice - the decoration of the downstairs loo! I can't describe how happy I am about it, it's been a blot on our daily life for 15 years. Whilst Mummy busies herself with the structural engineer, Selmar and I are whole heartedly throwing ourselves into Project:Loo. He's going to dry line all of the walls, leaving an air gap to control any damp, whilst I am putting together a spectacular decorative scheme. I'm treating it as though it was as important a room as the Grand Salon, and am toying with the idea of a scenic wallpaper and a spectacular chandelier.

Would you like an update as soon as I've ordered the wallpaper, or would you like me to keep it as a surprise until the reveal? Let me know what you prefer!

As this goal's gift, I've attached photos of the original architect's plans for the remodelling of the chateau in the 19th century. It's fascinating to see what their original vision was, though you'll spot that many eventual compromises were made. Thanks to the amazing discoveries of a viewer from Germany, we've learnt many more fascinating things about the 19th century remodel, which we're still looking into - I'm hoping that I'll be able to share them with you very soon!

As always, you are free to use these files for any personal (but not commercial) use. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do :)

Updates please. We love to see the progress as it's being made. How fortunate you are to have Selmar there during " onward & upward" time.

Anonymous

I love the journey ....so yep let’s decorate yours and mummy’s throne together! Can’t believe we have achieved two targets in a week....I’m seeing a mini chateau next for the family of peacocks/hens! Lol

Anonymous

I think show the wallpaper because some of the patrons might have ideas to suggest after seeing it. So excited for you!

Anonymous

Congratulations Stephanie, I am so very proud of you. 💓

Anonymous

Mes félicitations!

Anonymous

Woohoo! I would love updates on the loo but know that if we only see the final reveal, it will be lovely as your ideas sound wonderful! Selmar is really a blessing!

Anonymous

Great news! I finally signed up today, I have only done the lowest amount at the moment, but will definitely upgrade later. All this extra info makes it well worth it.... I will still make a point of watching the adds as well.

Anonymous

Would love to see loo "in progress"

Anonymous

Fantastic I’d like to see it from start to finish. Congratulations on hitting the 15k xx

Anonymous

Hey, your videos are delightful and we love watching them. We look forward to hopefully being able to join you in person at Lalande in the future. :)

Anonymous

Incredibly exciting! I’d also love to see the wallpaper and watch as progress continues on the loo

Anonymous

Anonymous

Anonymous

Oh Stefanie, your mother will say: i"isnt that wonderfull Stefanie "...and yes it is 🥰 congratulations!. And for the loo, I am curieus about Selmar's work..how to hit these damp walls. So please make a lot video's about this progress and meanwhile show us the wallpaper and the rest as a surprise. ❤

Anonymous

Congratulations Stephanie and Team La Lande! I would love to see a sample of the wallpaper once you have chosen it .. and maybe a mood board with hints of the fixtures you are going to use? I would definitely love to see the work in progress span over multiple episodes, if the project ends up taking multiple weeks. Cheers!

Anonymous

I’d love to see the ongoing loo progress as it happens. You’ll do a fab job but it’ll make us feel we’re there too....if that’s not weird! So pleased that you’re going to be able to get the terrace sorted too, what a happy day! Well done Stephanie and all at Lalande, you so deserve all the help you get! 👏🏼🌸🌺

Anonymous

I would love to see the progress as it happens, I think it's so amazing ,your style ,is just so wonderful as mummy would say ♥️

Anonymous

This is all so wonderful, so happy for you, it’s so well deserved 😀

Anonymous

How about creating your own toile de jouy wallpaper with different views of La Lande, I’m sure mr. Petheridge would be able to help and Mrs Strawbridge will have contacts to make it happen! This would be the perfect compliment to your beautiful home. X

Anonymous

I dumped Netflix and upped my tier. Your vlogs are much better than anything on Netflix!

Anonymous

How exciting Stephanie. Going to the loo after the transformation will be quite the experience!

Anonymous

Thank you Stephanie for the gift of the 19th c remodeling plans! So lovely. A real treasure! 💖

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie. I would love to see start to finish. I love being involved errr and nosey! 😂

Janese Carstens

Yay! This is amazing news and time to break out another bottle of bubbly...we’re almost halfway to your original (and seemingly unattainable) goal. My vote is to see a design board that has a swatch of the wallpaper, trim work, potential chandeliers, etc; film as you go but then keep the reveal a secret. After the completion, then share the “making of the loo transformation” videos with just the patrons. However...I’d be happy seeing it as it goes too!

Anonymous

Congratulations! Updates as you go, if it's not too much trouble.

Anonymous

Save for the big reveal! x

Anonymous

Fabulous news. The community continues to grow. So happy for you (and us) to see Lalande moving forward... xxx

Anonymous

I’d love to see the renovation as it goes along!

Maria Soberanis

I always see really cool scenic wallpaper like with a forest setting. Thats be super cool if you end up going with something like that!

Anonymous

Film as you go please, I have to say I am so pleased about the engineer. It will be fascinating watching the terrace being repaired, restored and made safe.

Anonymous

I hope it looks like Louie the fourteenth threw up in it. CHANDELIER PLEASE!!!

Anonymous

Would love to see updates as you go along. Happy to hear you're having an engineer take a look at the terrace!

Anonymous

Stephanie how wonderful. You decide whether to reveal the choice of wallpaper and each stage. Whatever you decide will be fine by me thank you

Anonymous

Amazing! How exciting to see more renovations being made possible! Congratulations! I love seeing all of your videos. You, mummy, and everyone at LaLande are a delight to see! I would love to see a journey of the restroom (or loo-as we say in America). Someone commented on creating your own toile wallpaper with scenes from LaLande which I think is a fantastic idea!

Anonymous

I just did the same thing! Between hers and Michael’s, far more entertainment than Netflix!

Anonymous

That's amazing, well done!! Would love to follow the updates rather than a final reveal. Too excited for the new wallpaper:)

Anonymous

I’m almost speechless at the amount being donated by such good and loving people all around the world. Thank you everyone for this boost to my spirits today! Stephanie, et al, thank you for sharing your true selves and the (often madcap) daily activities you show us. I vote for a complete surprise on the wallpaper, and have my fingers crossed that we find interesting things like tunnels and cellars under the terrace. Artifacts or treasure would be nice too.

Anonymous

I am thrilled, it is just a testament of how much people are enjoying being part of the LaLande family. 🌹

Anonymous

I have you have a looooong list of projects to tackle!! 15k is going to accomplish a bunch of them for sure!!

Anonymous

Absolutely want to see that wallpaper!

Anonymous

Yay! Congratulations! 🎉🎈🍾 I’d love to watch your creative process as you decide what you want to do and then see the implementation progress of how you complete your plan! 🤗 very happy for you.

Anonymous

I'd like to see progress vlogs since I voted for the loo to be renovated first. Thank you.

Anonymous

I might be in the minority here but I vote for before and during but save the juicy stuff for a grand reveal!

Anonymous

Stephanie, this is epic! So wonderful.

Jana Miranda

Good things are worth waiting for. Surprise us with a loo fit for a queen (or a chatelaine and her adorable mother).

Anonymous

Yes please! Love to see the wallpaper choice. I don’t feel like you are receiving a gift from patrons. We feel joy that we can contribute in some small way when some of us are so far away, to be part of a larger purpose and a joyous one at that. It’s a gift that definitely gives back 10 fold. It’s really an honour 😘

Anonymous

Congratulations, wonderful news for LaLande! I love seeing the process of everything you do, so updates would be nice. I also love the idea of a LaLande themed toile de jouy wallpaper!

Anonymous

I like to see progress as it goes along! And all the work that y’all are putting it please.

Anonymous

Fantastic achievement. I'd love to see the wall paper and progress as it happens - but whatever you finally decide I'll be happy with. X

Anonymous

Surprise us!

Anonymous

Surprise us. Make sure you show before photos/videos. X

Anonymous

I vote to see the progress. I LOVE seeing the process. That's why I'm a patron. That's your gift to us. They'll be doing a movie about you soon, "woman (et al) achieves major success during the pandemic"!

Anonymous

I would love an update and see the wall paper progress. My most favorite classic themes in literature is the Pygmalion theme. Chateau Diaries provides this joy each time I view a vlog. Thank you so much and thank you for caring so much for Lelande that you faced epic challenges with courage, faith, and optimism. Well done.

Anonymous

I see another patron mentions a LaLande themed toile de jouy wallpaper. I've sent you this link in another email, but maybe this will be easier for you to view here. https://www.papiersdeparis.com/en/read/news-projects-3/5-french-style-wallpapers-54.html

Anonymous

I forgot to mention in my previous comment... thank you for sharing the original remodel plans. My goodness, what great ideas! The main entrance design is really spectacular..., hmmm, you may need to add a grand entrance to your wish list...I can see it now... a beautiful gravel courtyard with a beautiful fountain and garden design all leading your guests to your grand entrance and remodeled grand salon (that we are can’t wait to see soon)🤗

Anonymous

WOO-HOO! THIS IS SO AMAZING! I am truly so excited about all these wonderful things happening to the chateau!🏰 Stephanie what ever you decide to share with us I am always so pleased and feel so honored! 💙 I'm literally dancing for your joy, our joy, the chateau's joy! 💃

Anonymous

I would love to see snippets of the progress and then a glorious full reveal when finished xx

Anonymous

Congratulations this is awesome! I’d love to see snippets of the transformation as well, maybe even things that you’re trying to decide between. But save the final reveal as a surprise!

Anonymous

So pleased for you! xx

Anonymous

I agree

Anonymous

Maybe snippets and then a reveal

Anonymous

Wonderful news . I would like the loo to be a surprise. Enjoy

Anonymous

I would love to see progress throughout and then a final reveal once it's all complete!!

Anonymous

Congratulations. Delighted you're going with the terrace and now the loo. I'd love to see progress as you go - I have no doubt the wallpaper choice will be stunning!

Anonymous

It's great to see progress being made. You didn't start the YouTube diaries to make money and I think that's part of the reason why so many of us are happy to help you along your journey. It's exciting for us to see how fast things are going. The garden looks absolutely terrific.

Anonymous

I would love to see tiny sneak peeks during the redecorating process of the loo and a grand reveal once it is done :D

Ramon

Progress and decision making and reveal please

Anonymous

Progress of renovation

Anonymous

Wonderful news this is so exciting for us too. Reports on progress or final reveal —— as long as it is being done it doesn’t matter to me. Thank you so much for sharing these plans & everything with us xx

Anonymous

Maybe time lapse video of Selmar doing the work .?

Anonymous

Congratulations!! I would love to see the wallpaper and also how Selmar addresses the issues. It is so fascinating to watch renovations take place. Thank you so much for the plans!

Anonymous

Personally I love the mood board and details of the materials and the techie side then the reveal. My personality means that I need to know what's 'behind' everything, it doesn't detract from the final result but enhances it. hugs and congrats, what on earth will you say when you hit 20,000 !!!!!!xxxxx

Anonymous

I’d love to see the progress as well as I find the sharing of creative energy sparks new ideas. I can’t help thinking of how Henri must be quite pleased that he’s fulfilling his promise to you in (y)our shared love of Lalande.

Anonymous

We are hitting the targets so fast that it is hard to keep up. But we are all hooked and are holding onto the renovation rollercoaster. It feels like we are on flat ground and we are running fast at full steam ahead. 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂

Anonymous

What an idea! I would buy that wallpaper. I recall one of the other families on ETTC:DIY screen printed her own toile fabric with pics of their chateau. I think she covered a wall with it.

Anonymous

How exciting

Anonymous

Love to see the progress as you “take on the loo”

Anonymous

What ever is easiest for you as you will very busy with vlogs bookings ,projects with Michael. So pleased the loo is getting the Stephanie treatment and the terrace will be an asset .

Anonymous

I love a surprise!

Anonymous

Maybe Michael could design a Lalande toile de jouy wallpaper! That would be an exciting journey!

Anonymous

Wow, that goes to show that people love you and appreciate what you’re doing to preserve this piece of gem for future generations. More power to you Stephanie, Michael, and all our La Lande family. we love you all. Keep on dreaming........ with love from Ms. Attrix in Miami.

Anonymous

I am so excited!! to see the terrace and see the LOO! question: instead of wallboard dont you have the green board the goes up in the damp areas? they also have purple 'its specifically for bathrooms etc.. ? and I would love to see the bits and bobs along the way!

Anonymous

Keep all under wrap until a grand revealing video. Then show from start to finish.

Anonymous

Fabulous news ! This restoration is such an education and whetting our appetites for possible future purchase .. anyway I’d love to see work in progress please ! Find the whole process fascinating ( god , isn’t selmar an absolute marvel & a find ??!! Good people find good people I always say ☺️) Lots of love xxx

Alton Condra

Stephanie. I can't link to donate to the chapel of the berry? Any suggestions?

Anonymous

Congratulations!!!💃🏻🥂🎉 There are so many good ideas here I’m for either way. So excited for you all and to see either in-progress updates or a final reveal!!! Love all this! Be safe and carry on!!! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻🥂🥂🥂🎉🎉🎉

Anonymous

Fantastic news! Do what you do best and make the Loo Grand 😜😄

Anonymous

How wonderful for all of you! I am so happy that, not only the chateau is being restored properly, but it's so nice to see people's dreams come true. I vote to see the progress on all these any other projects you are working on, with a dedicated video with a grand reveal. Keep dreaming! 🖤

Anonymous

Love the idea of a very grand loo !

Jana Miranda

The designs are beautiful. There was meant to be a grand entrance on the northeast face of the oldest part of the chateau? Would that have been on a wall in the winter salon? One last question: Is that why you want to put a formal garden in what is now Le Grand Champs de Roi Aloysius?

Anonymous

Oh how fun. You will be one of the first to experience it too!

Anonymous

Great news keep going guys.

Anonymous

Agreed. There are some rooms, such as the dining room, where I wish I had seen the whole creative process unfold

Anonymous

Are. You. Kidding. Me!!!!! These are stunning, fantastic..... just beyond beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️

Anonymous

I will say - I really DO LOVE LOVE LOVE that grand entrance.... any chance of getting that back into the mix?? I mean.... I am slightly OBESSED with it!!❤❤❤

Anonymous

Selmar...... I mean when the ghost said he was going to bring the RIGHT PEOPLE to La Lande.... I mean.... wow... that man is a treasure!

Anonymous

omg yes.... I would love that!! except she should do it with a big design house - like Pierre Frey or something!!

Anonymous

I’d like to see the progress of the loo please, as with any other project at La Lande thanks and congrats 🥳

Anonymous

Agreed! The charming thing is you really do FEEL like you are part of the La Lande family no matter where you are! and it wasnt/isnt/will never be a: look at my fab life "INFLUENCER" type of thing - it's very genuine- without gile - and that's what makes everyone fall in love with the chateau and the whole family! And she works so hard to keep it going - it's a wrapped up in a wonderful package - et voila! C'est La Lande! 🤩

Anonymous

So happy for the chateau family! Keep us posted!

Anonymous

Either way, I would be happy! I'm so excited for you Stephanie! I watch the numbers all day like I'm some sort of gambler or something. Someone once said that they get so excited about hitting the target amounts you would think it was their money. Lol I feel the same way. Hugs to the Lalande team.

Denise Behrends

My preference would be for you to film and show every detail of the behind-the-scenes creative and design process along the way—from design boards to brocantes to loo—and everything in between. I look forward to you sharing your thoughts aloud as inspiration strikes, as well as when you problem-solve through the obstacles. A chandelier will be stunning! Please share your journey in finding the perfect one! I believe that sharing your creative process will actually enhance the moment of the big reveal, as we will have traveled along the journey with you. For anyone who has built or renovated a home, it is the experience of the work along the way that makes the completed project all the more glorious, because it is the culminating moment of all that work. One thing we all appear to be in agreement on is that you film every step of the way, regardless of when you decide to show us that footage. I just wouldn’t want any details to be omitted by presenting a condensed version of the process, whenever it is revealed. Whatever you decide to do, Stephanie, will be absolutely perfect. It is such a gift to be brought into your world at Lalande. Thank you for sharing the original architect’s plans for the chateau. I delight in every piece of history that adds to the intrigue of Lalande.

Anonymous

So many milestones today! $15,000! ! 10,000,000 views on Youtube! But the biggest one, in my house, at least is my husband and my art historian son, who've only watched Chateau Diaries on the sly planted themselves on the sofa before the premier and chatted eagerly about all the next projects "we" can take on. I can already see it. Chateau de Lalande depicted in the style of antique Zuber et Cie wallpaper, with a beautiful marble sink, sumputuous silk draperies trimmed in fancy schmancy passementerie, an elegant curvy toilet... this loo is going to be a petite showplace!

Anonymous

This is wonderful news, so many people support your dream and I am proud to be one of them! I think it would be lovely to watch the process of planning the design and Selmar's progress on the loo as well as the grand reveal! xx

Anonymous

*** Stephanie- I have a request that may seem very RUDE of me to ask, so apologies in advance.... Would you consider making the Summer Open Day for Patreons/Viewers into either 2 days or maybe even a WEEK? I know it's a lot to ask, but fitting everybody into a day might be nuts. AND if it were even for 2 days, maybe some of us could do some WORK on the Chateau together- I know I would LOVE the opportunity! If we were to do this, maybe we could pre-plan the projects, so it's organized when we get there.... What does everybody else think???

Anonymous

Fantastic idea, what a cool way to meet like minded people!

Anonymous

Congrats!! It looks like there was a grand staircase at one point. Or am I mistaken?

Anonymous

I think these were plans, not necessarily actually done, however it makes me wonder about the original approach to the chateau and if it was meant to be 90 degrees to the right from the gates today. The staircase outside and grand doorway leading to what is called the grand staircase makes me think that was the original front entrance.

Anonymous

Oh this just keeps getting better & better!! :D Yay for the terrace, and I’m so excited about the loo - please takes us along for the entire journey (planning, getting the pieces/items for it, etc)! I want to redo my bathroom & want to get inspired by all the ideas you come up with. :)

Anonymous

Congrats on the 15k mark !!! Would love to see progress along the way.

Anonymous

Wow, congratulations to all. What an achievement. So exciting the possibilitys are endless.

Anonymous

I totally agree, I would love to see every step of the way please please pretty please.

Evelyn McElroy

Thanks for these great images, Stephanie. I am happy with however you want to present the loo changes.

Anonymous

Yay for the loo !!! Could we see a before photo so that we can have something to compare it to please <3

Anonymous

Just reading your comments Stephanie and I feel overwhelmed with love for how much you have touched all of our lives and hearts. Things like this bring our true nature and spirit out in the open for everyone to share and when magic love like this happens the universe will only spread it around more! You and your angelic bunch are teachers of what life is all about.....JOY!

Anonymous

This is exciting! I am wondering if there should be a lush pampering box in there as well, for any visiting guests who needs a little touch up during a party!

Anonymous

How exciting! I guess you will find a lot inspiration from Stephanies updates then! :)

Anonymous

You are going to need an assistant!!!

Anonymous

Congratulations, Stephanie! I’m so grateful to be privy to watch the restoring & beautifying of chateau Lalande! How wonderful for many generations to come! 🥰🏰❤️

Anonymous

So happy for you Stephanie! Enjoy! Would love to see you design in progress as we would be designers are so inspired by your gorgeous work!

Anonymous

I'm so happy for you! It's been a fun couple of days - I think my friends must think I'm nuts because I can't stop babbling about the Chateau :) I used the image of the gardens as my backdrop in a zoom call with my dad today and it led to a nice conversation. Sadly we aren't usually close, and it was nice to have something positive to chat about on Father's day (in the US). As far as the renovations, my vote is to pretty please vlog as much as you feel comfortable sharing with us - I love seeing the process and that's why we help support you - but at the end of the day it is your creative journey and please don't let any of us sway you away from what you think is right in how you'd like to film/share information!

Anonymous

I loved the custom toile idea someone had earlier in the comments - there are even several web companies that could make your design printable on everything from silk to cotton, so those who've been wanting toile dresses could make a toile cotton custom dress! https://www.contrado.com/fabrics and spoonflower.com are the two i'm familiar with.

Anonymous

I would love to see updates along the way :)

Anonymous

Congratulations Stephanie! It's so exciting to read your posts. I love all of the projects going on all at once. I also would like to see a before shot of the Loo and the progress if you would like to show that. Thanks for sharing your life with us! :)

Anonymous

I would like updates! A chandelier in the loo sounds wonderful

Anonymous

Oh how wonderful!! Congratulations, Steph! I would love to see any bits and pieces such as the wallpaper as you discover them. I also think that you MUST hang a chandelier in the loo! Absolutely!! Someone else asked for a "before" photo of the loo so that we can then compare it when it is done. I would love to see that also. Have fun!!

Anonymous

Oh and thank you so much for the gift of the 19th C plans of Lalande. They are wonderful! Thank you so so much!

Anonymous

Would love it if you show the progress, the ideas of decoration etc In vlogs snippets. And then once its all done make a separate bathroom upgrade video for the reveal.

Kelly Douglas

I would love to see the progress of the downstairs bathroom!

Anonymous

So Blessed to be part of this wonderful journey...Thank you. Thank you for beautiful pictures.. I would love to see the process of ideas, conception to completion please.

Anonymous

Congrats!!!! It's gone be 20,000 soon I bet!😁

Anonymous

so excited for you and the loo, can't wait to see it all finished.

Anonymous

Congratulations!!! I would like to see updates throughout the project.

Anonymous

I would love to see the progress of the bathroom as you go

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie, would you please post some pics of the 'loo' as it is? A beautiful powder-room is a must! Furthermore, if you need help in getting trade pricing let me know, I'm an interior designer, happy to help, savings can be made & maybe I could get them to chip in the wallpaper/fabric non-gratis or very special pricing, I have good contacts with Pierre Frey & other groups. Cheers

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie, I would love to see the remodel of the “loo” as you work in stages. I want to see it all as you remodel along!!! Thanks for asking us what we would like!

Anonymous

Would love to see any work done in the loo! Don't think I can wait to see it finished....

Anonymous

Wonderful news Stephanie, all very good! :-) I would like to see bits and pieces and the process that will make the downstairs loo , I am curious !

Anonymous

Your videos are excellent. I am not at all surprised at the amount raised on Patreon. Bravo!

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie, congratulations on hitting your 15k goal. I would enjoy seeing updates on the loo. It is nice to see the process of changes being made. I love the old architectural plans you attached. The vision the architect had to tie the newer section into the old is impressive. Its to bad they didn't put in the grand staircase, but I do love how the chateau is currently designed.

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie. With so many exciting new projects planned and underway I’d like to suggest one of the targets as buying a GoPro and/or a drone to help give you added versatility for your filming.

Anonymous

Crikey, congratulations Stephanie. Will patrons be able to buy tickets for Figaro ?

Anonymous

hi Stephanie, wow 15k goal well done! Would love to see the loo being transformed from shabby chic to chic ;) I would like to see the wallpaper you're going to use before it goes up, feels like I'm fully part of the process without actually being there. Nice to see someone else wallpapering etc for a change, as I've worked on my home for 15 years. I have two rooms left to complete and the house will finally be finished!!! So go Stephanie, go!!! Good luck! xx

Anonymous

Great news! I’d love to see the progress of the loo and I’d be really curious to know more about your design process. Thanks :)

Anonymous

I'd love to see all aspects of the loo renovation, especially choosing the designs!

Anonymous

Stephanie it would be nice to see things as they happen, so would you be so kind as to show them to us as you go along. I would like to see before and after and in-between as well. Thanks.

Anonymous

Me too, progress and wallpaper, lots of wallpaper and Sparkly lighting! 👏👏👏

Anonymous

Yey, for the loo! I do love surprises, I love a before and after reveal however maybe a few sneak peeks? The odd clue to tease us before the big reveal! Love to all xx

Anonymous

We love seeing things as they happen - how you make your choices and compromises rather than the grand reveal. And Selmar and your interactions/ comments whilst working on Project Loo I'm sure will make fab vlongs!

Anonymous

Great idea to choose the runner-up in the vote for this goal... maybe the kitchen can happen soon as well. I think some snippets of the renovation along the way would be great before a proper reveal? A quick idea: you could make a fun graph/diagram noting how the different goals are progressing (achieved, in the planning, booked for later in the year...) and update it every now and then? It could be a simple way to keep us posted with so much going on!

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie, I might be alone here but I would like a grand reveal of the looo with a video after showing how the work progressed, so happy Mummy is on the search for an engineer for the terrace area. I have an idea for a honeymoon cottage, you could convert the little building that is near the tennis court into a private honeymoon cottage with a hot-tub and champagne and deliver picnics, so honeymooners can picnic in the woods....bliss! congratulations of £15k what an achievement...Im going over to donate to the church just now xxx

Anonymous

Hi Stepahnie

Anonymous

I think a before and after photos would be lovely, it’s so exciting to see that at long last you will have a posh loo lol. So pleased to have joined this amazing club. Love to all at La Lande. Love from the Dordogne xx

Emma Young

Fantastic news :) :) Could you do a video of the works, but publish it after the grand reveal, like you do with anything thats been on ettcdiy? Then we get the best of both worlds. (That way you'd also get extra time to edit the process video)

Anonymous

I would love to see your ideas as you go along. Anything you wish to share is wonderful.

Anonymous

I am so pleased you are able to continue with the dream which really is no longer a dream but reality. So glad two projects are in hand I’m sure Isabelle will do a grand job sourcing an Engineer she certainly does not not rest on her laurels - go Isabelle 🏰. The thought of a personalised Toile de Jody fabulous how about one with an opera theme and masks all mysterious, you could get hand towels embroidered with items. Personally I’d love to follow the journey of the loo and of course the Terrace. 20,000€ will soon appear.🌷💥🥂

I keep giggling to myself since last weeks q and a with Isabelle when someone asked where she was from and she said “ I’m Frrrrrench” .... so funny. Total awe and respect to Isabelle. Can’t believe she actually looked better in that dress than the super glam Steph xxxxx

What a great milestone! I am so excited! I love the idea of pics along the way but whatever you decide, I know it will be great! Cannot wait to see it in person!

Anonymous

Yay Félicitations Stephanie!! I'm a new Patreon and sooo happy to participate in Lalande history! 🥰 For the loo, I'd LOVE to see the process!! How you find your theme and inspiration, how you put it together, Selmar's work, the fun and challenges! Like others suggested, maybe you could do a grand reveal and then a few videos of the process after? 💕

Anonymous

Stephanie, I like seeing progress and then a reveal. Love to see what you are sourcing and from where. Congratulations on your success with the vlog.

Anonymous

You can see the video of the loo as is in TOUR THE PRIVATE AREAS OF THIS BEAUTIFUL FRENCH CHATEAU! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyf-pJQxBjI starting at 6:00 It's in a pretty sorry state! I'm so glad it's about to be put right!

Anonymous

Definetely a step by step transformation.

Anonymous

Fantastic News! :) Other thoughts: The courtyard area in the old plans was oval...how interesting. And, I'm still thinking about the wallpaper with the hidden keys at a restaurant you visited. In a small space such as the bath, it would be rich. It would be nice symbolism also! You finally found the key to successfully work on some major projects. xoxo

Anonymous

Definately step by step. Just think the luxing while on your own throne with a CHANDELIER atop your crown. Any chance gilding the toilet gets on the list? Too much? Is my imagination getting the better of Me? Seriously a CHANDELIER is a must. Omg I can't wait!

Anonymous

Beware! If you make the loo too grand, no one will come out to do some work! There will be constipation and procrastination 😁😎😂

Anonymous

How exciting! Yes, please show us the progress as you work on the bathroom. 🚽And we look forward to the terrace later! That one is a mammoth task! ♥️

Anonymous

what keys? which episode- what have I missed - seriously. .. I thought I had absorbed it all🤣🤣🤣

Anonymous

This is so wonderful!!! Would love to see the wallpaper ASAP. Bathrooms are tres importantes.

Anonymous

I would go as lavish as possible.

Anonymous

I am so glad Stephanie you are going from strength to strength. Can’t wait to see the Loo when it’s finished.

Anonymous

Yes, as over the top as possible would make it glorious but also a lot of fun

Anonymous

I just want to say as a history nerd I’ve collected architectural plans from all over (none original copies sadly). However; I’m so HAPPY to have this as part of my collection! It’s going to be my laptop screen saver instead of Chenonceau! If you haven’t already I think it would be a great idea to share the chapel plans as well. With the letter, and that beautiful drawing of the chest of drawers with those giant doors! I think I’d love that 💕 and I hope others would too.

Anonymous

It's so lovely...we have a house that isn't terribly old, it's around 60 and we were fortunate enough to get the house plans and landcape plans (it has some great plants and trees). You must be thrilled! I like watching things being done, personally. I would love to see you and Selmar go through all the stages of fixing up the loo. From the wallpaper to doing the wall work, etc. I like to see the transformation happen as much as the final reveal.

Anonymous

Coo lummy!!! Who wouldn't want a chandelier in the loo! I missed the original comment about a custom toile but it seems just natural to do that and some porcelain that fits with the decor. I'm so glad you've also decided to initiate repair of the terrace. There is such a hum of excitement through the comments - its thrilling to hear everyone's ideas. I'm loving it and grateful to you Stephanie, Isabelle. Nic and Michael to let us into your lives and vicariously witness the chateau blossom again. Xxx 🇨🇦🇫🇷🥰

Anonymous

That is a great idea!!! It would also be great to get a copy of the wedding invitation shown in a recent vlog

1400 Patrons! Weeeeeeee! 🥰🥰🥰

I am beyond excited ❤!!! 2 more spectacular projects on the way. I would love to see the evolution of the loo renovations. A chandelier in the loo.....love it ❤!! Thank you for the plans of the chateau 🙏. Je vous aime xx.

Anonymous

It would be interesting to see how you choose between different wallpapers. I never cared for wallpapers in my life, now I am obsessed 😂😂

Anonymous

I am new and so look forward to learning more about the chateau and its rich history. I first learned of Château Lalande during the Covid lockdown watching ETTC DIY. I would love to see the progress as you move along.

Anonymous

Wow half way to 16k amazing 😉 and the # of patrons is wonderful for this sweet Chateau congrats Stephanie, family & friends🎉

Anonymous

So happy for you all! Thank you for working so hard to keep us living vicariously through you as Lord and Ladies of La Lande! As far as the Loo, do whatever you feel is best! Surprise us with your talents and choices!

Anonymous

Yes the loo too!!! 🌸💪🏼🧻💗

I cant believe, we Are going to 16000 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great news, and Stephanie, I just had to remark on how wonderful the tour of the chapel murals was! I don't think you have a teleprompter - I am amazed at how you narrate these videos, without an "umm" or other filler word, as if you were reading a script. Fabulous job! And the info in this video, and on the toile - simply outstanding. So appreciate the work you put into these. Love to all at Lalande.

Anonymous

I just saw the tour of the chapel...inspiring, incredible, and emotional - to know that history will truly come alive with its restoration.

Anonymous

Would love an update of the wallpaper options but leave the final decision a surprise!

Anonymous

It would be lovely to see your choices of wallpaper & your final choice. I too loved the tour of the murals of the chapel it was beautiful & very professional but with a lot more love💕💕

Anonymous

We love the Vlog at home. hi From Argentina

Anonymous

Possible question for a future Q&A: It may seem strange but I found myself wondering if Chateau de Lalande has a Cemetery? I've been learning about my family history and the family cemetery has so much information. Also, seeing their final resting place gave me a stronger connection to them - not just names on our family genealogy list. It was quite emotional really.

Anonymous

Would love to see the different elements you’re planning on using in the loo, followed by the final reveal. As a huge fan of wallpaper, a future video on the history of French wall paper would be lovely. You’re a gifted speaker and all your informational videos have been wonderful. Please keep them coming. Seeing a new video in my feed always brings a smile to my face and brightens my day! Thank you.

Anonymous

It might be interesting to know what bathrooms would have been like historically and at the time the chateau was built. Incorporating some historically accurate French elements might be nice if appropriate for the space.

Anonymous

It is so interesting to read through the comments, this is really a community with everyone invested in the projects and the people who make the chateau such a magical place. No wonder your Patreon account has taken off - we are like the townspeople in this wonderful fairytale. 🍾🥂🇦🇺

I think some sneak peeks along the way then a big reveal would be nice!

Anonymous

Maybe even some mini tutorials if you come across some teachable concepts ❤

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie. Am I able to watch the new video if I don’t have the app?

Anonymous

Hello again Stephanie. In answer to my own earlier query I’ve been and checked the Patreon help centre and it seems I cannot view the new videos without the app. NOW RESOLVED SEE REPLIES. Thanks for the assistance!

Anonymous

Sneaky peeks as you go along would be great 😍

Anonymous

I can't view some of your post even with the app!

Anonymous

Hi can any one advice me please I can only view my patron page if I go through an email from patron. Then if I connect to the app says I have to join to gain access. I which I already am. Be greatful if anyone can help x

Anonymous

I've been able to view the video and I haven't downloaded the app. However it doesn't show up on my "feed" when I log in (the default page). I can only view it once I click on "Stephanie Jarvis" and it takes me to her page (where there's the tab at the top that says "My Membership"). Not sure if this it helpful, but fingers crossed you're able to view it Debbie! In the video Stephanie is asking for feedback regarding the present opening videos, if we like the new separate format.

Anonymous

I also would love sneak peeks as you choose decor for the bathroom but keep the final reveal until when its completely finished ❤

Anonymous

I wasn't able to respond on the Lens video - but I enjoyed this format! I also think it's ok if the video is longer if it makes it easier for you to edit instead of breaking it into two.

Anonymous

Hi to those who cannot open the app. Stephanie says on the video (only about 1 minute long) that the Q&A will put out tomorrow. She also ask for your opinion on the gift video. She would like to know if you like the gift opening as a separate video or if you have other ideas.

Anonymous

Responding to Lens Video above - I actually really love the idea of having the gifts video separate to the Vlogs. I enjoy the gift giving, its so exciting to see what you and the residents of La Lande receive! Really enjoyed today's video! (Deleted comment above, as editing the comment was working correctly)

Anonymous

Love the Cadeaux at the Chateau-- you are great gift openers and appreciaters!

Anonymous

On the videos you posted today you asked for feedback on the "CADEAUX AT THE CHATEAU!' video you posted on Youtube today. I honestly love watching you open the presents and am moved by how generous and thoughtful the gifts are and also by how excited you, mummy and the LaLanders are opening the presents. The video format is a great idea. It respects those who don't like to watch the presents being opened and provides them with the option to skip these video. For those who enjoy watching the presents being opened, we get to be part of the joy of giving/receiving. Stephanie, you have amazing instincts that have gotten you very far in this Youtube journey. Trust your instincts and be true to who you are.

Anonymous

Hmmm. What browser do you use to login to your Patreon account? I'm using Chrome and was able to see the videos.

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie I have watched all your videos over the last few months. It's been a fun marathon watching each of them and some of them I watched twice or more. You are so kind and sensitive to others by requesting feedback about the gift openings. I love watching them because you, Mummy, and everyone at the chateau are so appreciative and happy when opening the gifts. It's a joy to watch - really. I loved watching when it was part of the Chateau Diaries. I think that if someone does not like watching gift opening content then they can just move on and watch something else. You were so kind to present gift opening videos only on Tuesdays so those people could choose not to watch that day. Now you have taken kindness to the next level and made a different series for the gift openings. I think you could not be more thoughtful to the very tiny minority of people who do not like gifts being opened. You have a beautiful spirit. I think the vast majority of your viewers do enjoy watching you all opening gifts. So I am happy with any format you choose to present them in and will keep watching happily. Thank you for inviting comments and I hope you will know how much we treasure you and our time with you. You make many many people very happy and feel included in your life. Wishing you continued success in everything you do. Love and Big Hugs from Texas!

Anonymous

I love both versions of your unboxing content. Just happy to see the thoughtful gifts sent to you all. I thought the new name of Cadeaux at the Chateau was clever. ♥️

Anonymous

I love Cadeaux at the. Chateau Stephanie ... it’s great fun & a great way to do it so that those who prefer not to watch don’t have to as it is completely separate. We have as much fun as you do just seeing you all open them. Thank you xx

Anonymous

Stephanie, I'm replying here since I can't seem to find a way to post to the newest one where you want our feedback to the presents/package opening videos. I like the new videos added into the line-up of videos. I enjoy these unboxings! :) It also gives a way for others to skip them if its not for them. Blessings!

Anonymous

I love watching the gifting. Many patreon and Youtube content providers do a separate "unboxing" day. So you're not alone. Please continue to show us your lovely gifts and the genrosity of your patrons. I also like seeing the gifts as you wear them or use them around the house. It makes the patron feel like part of the chateau life. And it makes me smile and warms my heart to see how grateful you are and how generous people can be. Blessings to you and the Lalande crew.

Anonymous

Yes! it's a tiny way to be part of the Chateau going's on. :)

Anonymous

I love the unboxing videos and am fine with them being separate from your other posts for those people that don't. You all have the best reactions when opening your gifts, I would really miss it if you stopped posting them. Honestly, I wish we knew a little more about the others at Lalande so we could send them things as well. Your videos wouldn't be as fun without them, so it would be nice to be able to show our appreciation for their willingness to participate in the vlogs. You do such a great job surrounding yourself with such wonderful people, Stephanie. I think your patrons like myself would like to be able to spread the love. I hope you and everyone at Lalande are well. I look forward to your next post. <3

Anonymous

Hello Stephanie! I love the unboxing and think Antoine and I are similar in that respect. :) Please continue to share the gift reveals as they bring so many people joy and especially as the gift-givers are so creative and talented. Also, can you share the birthdays of the occupants of the chateau? It can be like a Hogwarts birthday.

Anonymous

The unboxing videos are wonderful and deserve their own separate video. Those who don't enjoy them are free to skip. More for the rest of us!!

Anonymous

I love that you do the present videos separately. I think it solves any possible issue someone may have. I agree, it would be nice to know everyone's birthdays. Even Diesels;)

Anonymous

I definitely still want to see the gift videos....I actually just found something that reminded me of you and Lalande, so HAD to get it and want to send it to the chateau next week! :D I'd like to think we could still all send you stuff and you were able to share the joy with us as you do the rest of your growing joys at Lalande. I know this is kind of a new thing for you as a popular youtuber but I do think it comes with the territory. I understand your hesitations, though. I think I would feel similarly conflicted but these acts of gifts are rooted in joy and our focus should stay on that, as no matter what that joy will be contagious. Behavior is the most contagious thing on this planet for us humans, and let's make that contagious behavior JOY! And not doubt :D The joy emanating from your channel and efforts will go far and sometimes catering to the DebbieDowners should logically be avoided.

Anonymous

Hey Stephanie! I love the 'Cadeaux at the Chateau' format! Thank you for always figuring out the best way to handle things and the way you honour every gift is lovely to see! The sheer amount of generosity that is coming your way is so inspiring, I can imagine how overwhelming it can all be. Just curious as to how you are getting on with writing all those welcome notes? WHEN do you find the time? hahaha have a great day LaLanders!

Anonymous

Yes, Stephanie, please - Cadeaux/Château is a wonderful idea. Truly epic! 😃 I like the laughs and playfulness, and the feeling the love. The gifts are always well chosen and presented, and your reactions are always priceless. So enjoy your loot, and thank you for sharing!

Anonymous

Thank you Barbara for kindly updating. I don’t know what happened, technology biting back I think. The good news is that after Kimberly’s earlier reply I decided to uninstall and reinstall Chrome and am now able to view the messages. Arghhhh.....

Anonymous

I adore the unboxing videos! Don’t change a thing! These little snippets of love and joy are the absolute BEST antidote to my daily stress! So in the immortal words of Billy Joel: “Don’t go trying to please me, I love you just the way you are!” 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Anonymous

cadeaux at the Chateau, what a great title. I loved watching it. but as you say yourself about sending the giftst. nobody should feel forced to send gifts, and I don't thing anybody is really. but the same goes for you in my opinion. don't feel forced to open each and every one of them on a vlog. i'm a bit afraid it would become a burden and I wouldn't want that for any of you. And selfishly, not for me as that would maybe mean less chateau video's, or a drop in the great quality as a big part of the quality is in the joy you are having in the video's. it s really infectious. If I'm wrong and you still enjoy making the vlogs to the fullest even with the extra one or two about gift opening, I say: Go for it!. I think the concept of doing it in different video's is a good idea as it gives people a choice. Personally I just watch them all. Hope to be able to visit the chateau someday too, would love to come over and help out, just hope Selmar leaves some work to do.

Anonymous

Well said Niels, I feel the same way. I really don't think most people feel they have to send presents. For those who do send them, watching you opening them must be a thrill. Remember the old saying Stephanie, ..'you can't please ALL the people ALL the time.

Anonymous

Love the Opening independet videos.

Anonymous

I love the unboxing gifts and I especially love your idea of Cadeaux at the Chateau. These aren't just random presents or some sort of luxury haul. They're heartfelt and personal. Also it's a beautiful way for someone, like the man who sent the makeup and care products, who can't be a patron to feel they are contributing in a meaningful way. I especially loved seeing the gifts in use, when you made tea and read the fairy tale. As always Stephanie, c'est parfait! Also as much as I love watching I've never ever felt pressured to go out and find something to send.

Anonymous

I'm quite happy with unboxing videos, its lovely to see what has been so kindly sent to you all. We get just as excited watching. I have sent you something in the post, from the national portrait gallery. I messaged you on here 2 nights ago, but I'm not sure you've got the message yet? I'm sending you an print of my ancestor Thomas Crofton Croker, who was an Irish fairy and folklore writer in the 18-19th century. He was my 5 (?) great grandfathers cousin. It is told that he originally wrote a variation of Cinderella which was called Cinders, and that the Brothers Grimm travelled to meet and buy the story from him. They asked if they could change it a little and he agreed. Its a story that has been lost in time and most people won't know unless you're family or interested in Irish literature/history. There are many other variations of Cinders or Cinderella throughout the world and throughout history. Would be nice if Thomas had written the original version, but no. There was some slight mix up when I messaged you the other night as to the origins, so I hope that helped to clear it up. Thomas wrote some many fairy stories and was a kind and gentle man. So i thought since fairytales are important to you (and Cinderella being your favourite and also mine ) I would send the print to you and it could be displayed near some books. Its only A4 size, so don't think I've sent you a huge print. Lol! xx

Anonymous

The unboxing videos are great!

Anonymous

I think you found the best idea for the unboxing/gifts. It's a good happy medium so, people do not want to watch them can pass on that video and not fear that they will miss something. I loved it and watch other channels that have unboxing, PR unboxing days, mail time, etc. I feel like you did a wonderful job and I love seeing the things people pick out for you, also love if they are maker of things, they get a little shout out and i can check out their instagram or shop.

Anonymous

Personally, I don't care to watch the gift opening videos, so I am relieved that you have taken measures to separate them from the other vlogs. I follow you because of your positive and uplifting personality, the opportunities you are providing to help others, such as Michael Petherick and Marie Wiik, and the researched vlogs you make about historical elements.

Anonymous

I don't mind the unbound- I just watching the dynamics between all of you x

Anonymous

I enjoy every video here, also the last one with gift opening. However, I just watched Mummy's wedding on this "escape to the chateau" or whatever the programme was called. I loved seeing the wedding, but what an awful program that was to watch when I am used to your superb videos Stephanie! The annoying voice in the background trying to create drama, short silly clips, and other chateaus. Made me realise how brilliant you and Michaels videos are, keep them like that! You are so good at making great videos, and you are genuine and natural. Any video by Stephanie is fab, interesting, lovely, or all three. In fact, you could just be sitting there chatting about anything at all, I love listening to you! And you taught me a new word on the live chat yesterday. Hah ha, I never had an invisible friend as a child, now I feel I have one! Or more, has to be said, I adore Selmar, Michael, Mummy, Mary Poppins and the rest too.

Anonymous

The Lalande themed toilet de jouy wallpaper sounds so beautiful. If you end of creating this (even for use somewhere else in your chateau) would you consider selling it for others to enjoy too? I would love to have that somewhere in my home. Even just a small portion framed to put on a wall. Or turned into a fabric...perhaps?

Anonymous

Video making is an art, lots of different styles out there :). These two are superbly talented!

Anonymous

Hi Stephanie, I’m just watching ETTC DIY season 3. Do you still have the artist studio? We never see it on your videos.

Anonymous

I am so glad Stephanie showed us the crappy loo on todays video ( no pun intended) it describes it exactly. It would be nice to keep the pedestal sink if it is in good nick, but I would like to see a more vintage toilet???

Anonymous

She hasnt mentioned but it would be nice to know for sure.

Anonymous

Yes, that is why it is great that she has done it separately so we can choose. Someone also commented the other day that they dont like sundays at the chateau vlogs so they can make a choice as well. I am glad they can find practical solutions to offer us choices where possible. 😁😁

Anonymous

Stephanie, you are almost at $16,000. It's wonderful to see Natty back as well!

Anonymous

Don't know if this was asked but ...is there anything left of the grand staircase or main entrance? or is it completely lost?

Anna Ibarra

Can’t wait to see the progress on those projects.

Anonymous

I vote to see the progress!!! :)
