As you may knew, previously we had a system of tracking punishments and praises which increased obedience when administered timely. But before latest update they were administered by energy and worked quite quickly. New system does not quite allow it, as you have to meet slave for any sort of punishment or praise, and that takes quite some time and action point. So... old system gets scrapped.
Not entirely, though. I think its a healthy idea to do something for slave to keep their obedience higher for some time period aside from grinding loyalty, so this mechanic comes into a new form. So we are introducing new stat: Fear (yes, the Fear from interaction screen which was introduced in latest version), but with a slight tweak, Fear is kept after interaction and stays for some time with slave, increasing their obedience by the end of day. This will work similarly to the Punishment expectation. During the interaction you will be building disobedient slave's fear while trying to keep their stress not too high.
Another good part of it is readability: you will be able to quickly figure out if you need to scare you slave more or not. High Courage will slow down Fear accumulation, while high Confidence will make it dissipate quicker. Naturally more traits will also be connected to it. And there will also be spells to affect slave's fear and other stats.
I'm still figuring out how praises and loyalty will be tied to this, but achieving reasonable balance at this point shouldn't be hard. Some of the rules and items will be revised to fit better with new system.
