This release has some considerable changes to slave management (or rather training) system. I've tried to cover it in changelog section and tooltips, so make sure to read those.

New interaction sequence allows punishment/praising of slaves. It's quite more interactive (duh) than previous dialogue system and has some hidden rules, namely:
Many actions, when repeated will be rejected.
Slave's influence changes at the end of sequence based on mood and fear. Calculations are still a subject for balance, but generally fear gives obedience and some stress, while mood builds loyalty. Some traits has been adjusted to fit better into this sort of interactions.

  • Mental stats no longer acquired from occupations

  • Slaves have 20% chance to acquire additional trait on generation
  • Coward does not reduce base stats anymore
  • Clever does not alter stats anymore and improves "Teach" effectiveness instead

  • Fixed dialogue window closing on giving away your slaves during the quests
  • Fixed a great deal of various other bugs(actual changelog got lost in the process)

First time new follower here - can i just put the new version into my old folder so I will keep my savegames?

Gonna be honest. The new interaction system is a big step backwards. It makes this much more complicated and confusing and it turns the simple way of training your slaves into a chore. At MINIMUM non-sexual interactions should not be linked with sexual ones. The system is also not viable if you have a higher number of slaves as you simply do not have enough interactions to manage them all. Having it cost energy when you start a non-sexual interaction like it used to be instead of linking it to the sex system would probably solve a lot of the problems.

Best way to do it? Have one folder called "Strieve for Power", and create a new folder inside that for each new release. This one, for example, called "0.5.10". You will keep your savegames, and putting portrait folders etc in the base folder is simple. The obvious alternative - adding new versions to the same installation folder each time, overvriting some, but not all of the old files - tends to result in weird bugs.

getting an error when requesting intimacy through the dating interactions for the first time . Getting the following errors: Script error: invalid call. nonexistent function "find" in base "nil". A second and almost as large issue is that there is no feedback from the system unless you've already entered it. I have no way of knowing outside of interacting with a slave if I've already praised or disciplined them that day. It's impossible to keep track of mentally. What happens if I save in the middle of a day and then come back. There needs to be external feedback.

I think the new system good as the Interaction limit is something that forces you to advance days. Before I could infinitely replenish energy with spells. After experimenting with it it makes gaining loyalty actually far easier.

I don't receive any feedback when requesting intimacy, it just uses energy. Not sure if it's a bug or I'm just unable to request it yet with that slave. Some form of feedback stating they refuse would be nice.

Also, I noticed that when switching between holes during sex it used to have a description describing you removed from x and put in y, but now it just describes it like the first time you enter... I really liked that additional detail, will it be back with a future update?

not receiving stress increase during sexual acts. Example: Not stress increase warning for whipping during sexual act with npc not having the like it rough or masochist traits

Are you sure its completely gone? It's just some actions are supported by it and some are not.

Query, is it possible within the current combat system to add a multi-target spell to the game?

Multitarget, as in select multiple targets for 1 spell? Bit troublesome. But if you mean spells which would affect whole party, thats pretty simple and some enemies have those.

Liking the new interaction system. But I was playing through Cali's quest and got to the scene with the bar, and I think there's an issue with the option to "Try talk her into it". Selecting that option doesn't seem to change the text in the window or do anything. Looking at the code, it seems to be looking for ".lewd" instead of ".lewdness". Could that be the issue?

Bugs: win64 build Clingy trait - new interaction system doesn't count as paying attention to a clingy slave, impossible to stop the penalty Clingy trait - Lack of attention occurs when in jail. May want to make the trait not matter until at a specific loyalty level Elevate/demote - not sure which is glitched (guessing demote), but if you elevate then immediately demote a slave (pretty standard when you get raise grade to upgrade level for the 5th f-ing time in a row), there's issues with the luxury requirements not lowering properly. You also may want to limit how often the raise grade upgrade requirement can occur. Learn specialization to upgrade - can occur on a level 1 'slave' class slave with an average of 20 in stats. This makes the slave unusable. No one's actually going to use a crap slave like that, but it can still -force- you to teach a slave housekeeper or nympho if it appears early on. Logically, specializations shouldn't be something you get forced into. May want to set a minimum level of 5 or 6 for when this can appear. Very annoying if it shows up on your starter or emily when trying to get them to level 2 or 3. Alternatively, adding in some specializations with lower requirements could help, but the 500 cold cost is still pretty aggravating if you get hit with this trying to get your starter ro level 2

If you have a full Combat Group and load that game into version 0.5.10a, you may notice that you cannot remove members from the combat group. Simple solution: Send someone in the combat group to the laboratory, or to training in the city. But... it's a 'halfway' fix - the other members are still fixed. Until you do training or lab or they go out of the combat group for some other reason. Until then, you can then for example choose a member that's fixed in the combat group again, so that you have the same member twice. I'm... pretty certain that is not as intended. Another (possible) bug is that the "Submissive" trait does not seem to work for 'Abuse'/'Forced'.

Just save before you check and reload if its a slave you don't want to do that for. Same for specialization.

I think the new Interaction system is a great step in the right direction, but it definitely needs a lot of work. I love the idea of having to interact with your slaves differently in order to increase their obedience and loyalty, and the teaching mechanic is a much more effective and efficient way of increasing stats. Where it is at now it is so easily broken though. Moving to the garden or streets appears to always boost the amount of actions available, meaning no matter what you want to do with the slave it is always worth moving to the garden before anything else. The current rate that slaves become accustomed to you is also way too high, meaning it's trivial to get them to accept an advance in one or two interactions. The last main issue is the amount of learning points gained. It feels extremely high. It is very easy to take a mildly obedient slave to the gardens and then do nothing but teach them, granting a massive LP payout and allowing you to boost through stat levels quickly. Still, it's only just been implemented, so I don't expect it to be perfectly balanced, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here. The current interactions and the way they affect each other (e.g. alcohol and teaching being a bad mix) are a very promising start, and I feel it is a very positive addition to the game. Also, the combat GUI changes look great. They make the game look much cleaner and easier to read. And of course the new art for the character scenes are a welcome addition. Keep up the great work!

win 64, ver 5.10a. I'm getting the following message: "Can't apply: trait exists or conflicting with another trait" This occurs when attempting vaginal or anal penetration with tail. The slave's stress level also increases. the slave has the "Pervert" and "Enjoys anal" traits. Perhaps the game is attempting to give her the "Deviant" trait? This is also a same sex interaction, but only the tail actions generate stress.

win 64, ver5.10a: Selecting the "See Relatives" button produces this error: SCRIPT ERROR: _on_relativesbutton_pressed: Invalid operands 'String' and 'float' in operator '=='. At: res://files/scripts/slave_tab.gd:441 No relatives are displayed for slaves with known relatives (Emily and Tisha).
