For this one, we wanted to do something new yet familiar. We combined the concepts of the American comic book heroes with the Japanese tokusatsu one, particularly the Super Sentai. Here, Captain Marvel’s costume has its difference, most visible is her helmet. It was inspired by the helmet of the skeleton Winter Olympics athlete, something clearly in line with her heroic spirit.

When the Marvel multiverse unfolded, Carol Danvers was in contact with her alternate selves. She found three of them with slightly-different lives and superhero careers. In other worlds, Carol became Ms. Marvel, in the other, she became Binary, and finally, she was Captain Marvel still, yet with the old-school red costume.

They discussed with her a new grave threat to the multiverse. There was an increasing number of incidents involving cultists who worshipped the obscure dark god called Set. Set the Serpent God, said Red Captain Marvel during her last mission before her signal went off. There was a spike of energy in the Alpha Flight space station just then. It was detected again when Ms. Marvel and Binary went missing. It was clear that whatever hunting them, got them.

Then the space station exploded. Captain Marvel was thrown into space and on to the Moon’s surface. She barely escaped when the hulking wreckage of the superstructure crashed on her spot. Battered, the female hero could see the culprit of this disaster.

Stood before her were the humanoid figure in robes. They had the bodies of men and women, yet with reptilian skin and faces. The one in the middle introduced himself as Naga, the leader of the Serpent Men. He also introduced his pet, the manifestation of the Serpent God Set.

Where is it? Carol thought, just before the moonscape was rocked by an emerging gigantic creature from below. The monster was a huge hydra-like dragon monster. Naga told her that it was the combination of Set’s vile essence with The Hulk’s blood.

Carol punched each of the seven eyeless heads who wanted to eat her. One by one, they were thrown back but could come back again. Captain Marvel went into battle against the mythological monster but easily found herself in a tight spot as her blast power meant nothing to its regeneration ability. Then, the monster thrashed her with powerful dragon fire.

Captain Marvel screamed in pain and was thrown away. Her body hit the Apollo 11 lunar landing site and completely destroyed it. From far away, she could hear the mocking laughter of Naga. he explained that she wouldn’t be able to defeat the monster no matter how hard she tried.

Naga then revealed the reason: the Set-Spawn had beaten and devoured the other Carol Danvers. On the main belly of the beast, the helmets of the once-mighty Miss Marvel and Binary bulged out like a decoration. Their respective shiny black helmet with the lightning symbol and fiery golden with as-bright red accents were trapped on its skin as prisoners. They were alive, yet helpless inside the monster. All they could do was whimpering weakly and begging for release to Captain Marvel.

But Captain Marvel had problems of her own. The main belly opened its gigantic mouth filled with stalactite-like teeth, dirty and disgusting, before shooting out its slimy tongue. Carol tried to break out, but the tongue split into tentacle-like arms which easily wrapped itself against the heroine’s body.

Captain Marvel was in peril, but it was not even the final torment. The end of each tentacle had white spikes on it. Carol screamed when some of them pierced her hands and the side of her abs. Blood drizzled out as bubbles in near zero-gravity conditions of the Moon. Captain Marvel could feel herself weakening from the invading serpent venom. The slime smeared itself on her suit, forming a sticky surface that made escape no longer possible.

Captain Marvel tried one last resort. Her entire body glowed with the remaining cosmic power as she tried to fly out. She let out a war-cry.

But it was too late. Captain Marvel’s flight couldn’t resist the pulling into the monster’s gaping maw. She was flying backward instead of freedom of space. Slowly, from her boots, Captain Marvel was devoured by the waiting slimy interior of the Set-Spawn’s mouth. The last she did was gasping as the slime formed an indestructible cocoon.

Before long, her helmet joined the others on the monster’s skin. She, as with the other variants of Carol Danvers, couldn’t do anything as Naga laughed in triumph for his eldritch master.

But The Serpent Cult had more in store for these blonde female avengers.
