Heyyoooo merry band of Birbs!!! We've got some exciting news to share with you all!
Some ancient relics will be joining you in your daily exploration whenever you're up for a nice relaxing walk, so don't forget to visit the new Museum!

March flew by so quickly but we still managed to make the most of it by bringing you a bunch of content that'll reinvigorate Little Sim World and add more fun activities for all of you to experience. Our team has grown quite a bit in just a few weeks and we're certain you will love what they'll bring to the game.

We're really looking forward to sharing the full patch with you so here's a sneak peek at everything coming in the next build!

Collectables

We're finally adding a long-awaited feature, collectables! Collectables are new objects the player will encounter all over the City. Take care though, they might need additional tools to actually discover what they are or even pick them up in the first place! Once you have them, you can donate them to the Museum by interacting with the new Curator. While there will be more collectables as we progress, there are currently only coins present in the game.

With ~30 coins to collect off the bat and more to come, both coins and other collectables in general, we hope they can be a fun system to have fun with in between the many other sim activities that are already available or are planned. We can't wait to hear what you think!

Museum

A new building has arisen in the northeast side of London, a Museum prepared to be filled with antiquities that you may obtain through your Little Sim Adventure!!

You'll have the chance to meet a new NPC, the Curator. He'll be helping out with your collecting adventures and rewarding you for your troubles. Any collectables you find will be displayed for all to see in glass cases and books strewn about the Museum. Get up close and personal with them to check out what you've collected in detail, with additional insight from the Curator's vast knowledge library!

Inspiration

Until now you may have noticed a “level 0” under your character name whenever you've entered the game, that 0 will finally change with the new levelling system - Inspiration! As you go about your daily life developing yourself, many activities will give you Inspiration experience, a new resource related to levelling up your character. Levelling up Inspiration will reward you with Inspiration Points (IP). These points can be used to remove unwanted Quirks or add new Traits to make your character distinct! There are many things that give Inspiration experience:

  • Levelling up your Interests
  • Going to Work
  • Delivering Collectables to the Curator at the Museum
  • Getting Promoted
  • Finishing Tasks

This system is just the basis for a lot of what's to come in the future. We'll be adding more things to do with Inspiration points and ways to get experience and possibly even alternative ways to “earn” the aforementioned…

Quirks & Traits

You've probably already seen the quirks & traits while creating your Sim, most of them weren't functional and there was only a handful to choose from. Well, now they're finally getting the love they deserve alongside Inspiration.

Traits are a way to show who your Sim is. You can choose which ones you want and buy them with Inspiration Points. Each one will give a different benefit, so choose wisely! These can be reset at the Police Station (For a price).

Quirks are another way to show who your Sim is but they are detrimental. Quirks are free but can only be obtained by meeting certain criteria, be careful what you do… If you do end up getting a quirk, you can remove it with 1 Inspiration Point at the police station.

Interactable Bubbles

You may remember the Feedback Bubbles from the last patch… We're adding an optional mini-game onto it within the system where periodically, while you're idling, a bigger bubble will appear and float around the screen until you click on it, giving you a temporary experience boost. We've also slightly modified how the bubbles look for a cleaner and even more satisfying feeling.

Recycling

Last but not least, we have a new interest coming up… *drum rolls* - Recycling! Players can now interact with bean bags around the city, requiring gloves to do so. When interacted with, you'll start removing the bean bag and, as a reward, you'll have the chance to get a collectable or even a different unique drop… Levelling up this interest will reward you with higher drop chances and faster interactions!

And that is everything for now!

We are hoping to release the next patch... somewhere around mid-april!
