Library, Progress Bar, Quick Snack and more! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Apologies for the delay in slightly bigger updates since our last game update. We've been working extremely hard on implementing new features and have a lot to show today. I suspect nearer to the end of April will be the next big game update!

Firstly, we are remaking and improving the library art to make it ready for implementation which will be located roughly behind the player house. This means another map expansion to add more things to do for everyone! 

The Library: visit to borrow books and level your interests. Use the computers there to study/surf the internet. It will feature a weekly subscription much like the gym does!

In addition, there have been some clunkiness regarding how long interactions take to finish and the progress being made for some actions. For example, purchasing items are instant and the 'progress bar' is a good improvement on that. Another action like 'getting water' also needs an interaction timer which at the moment doesn't exist. A good third example would be 'finding a job' on the PC. Take a look below!

The progress bar is a good solution to the above problems I think. I'm not 100% yet on its size and visuals, but it's currently fully working and will be in the game as well for the next update! 

Quick Snack is also making its way into the game for the next patch. Currently, eating is a chore (as is in real life!!) but it forces us to go outside to a vending machine or the supermarket. With quick snack, we will be able to grab a meal similar to the Sims but at greater cost than grocery shopping and less bonus / no cooking experience. It's a quality of life that will be fantastic for a quick fix when you can't find the time!

Animated and random home screen: the current homepage is static and a little dull. Michel improved it, added different timing on the art for day, dawn and evening shading as well as animated the whole thing. Sorry you can't see it here due to Patreons GIF limitations but it's very pretty and coming next patch!

Finally, a big thanks to everyone who supported us on simfest! We really ranked very highly and got a lot of visibility and new people who have wishlisted our game! More updates in 2 weeks time and big changes to come!
