Nela's first battle with Sharian (Patreon)

Background:

In Secrets of the Hearthwood, Nela confronted her old rival, Sharian, who was at the peak of the mage acolyte realm. Sharian defeated Nela in battle, and Sharian took great pleasure in grinding Nela beneath her heel after she'd won. (Nela wasn't wearing her armor for much longer).

Little did Sharian know, Theo would soon rescue Nela, and the tables would be turned...

History of this piece of art:

I commissioned this two years ago back when I was writing Secrets of the Hearthwood from a hobby artist who had some very affordable commission prices to help pay for her mother's upcoming surgery. That was before this patron was up and I originally wanted to post it on my blog but had some trouble getting it to display.

Anyhow, I stumbled across it and figured I could post it here with an offer of more if people were interested. I need content on this Patreon that doesn't go away when I upload a book to Amazon.

Do you like artwork like this? Would you like to see more of it on this Patreon? I've saved up the Patreon payouts for the last few months and have stashed away enough for the next two covers, so I don't mind commissioning some (affordable) art from the story, especially from artists desperate for work thanks to covid.

Artwork would probably be from student and hobby artists like this piece instead of professionals. (For reference, this is a ~$60 piece of art. My covers are ~$400 pieces of art. On the high end, Erik Vall and Logan Jacob's covers are $2000-$4000 pieces of art. [I spoke to some of those artists and realized I have a long way to go before I'm buying covers at that level]).

Potential future ideas:

• Single page comics.
• Scenes from the books.
• Monster and character designs. I have my own sketches that I've occasionally shown on here, but an actual artist could clean them up and make them presentable.
• Single scene illustrations like the one above
• NSFW art
