I still can't decide if I actually like Beard After Hours or not. I mean, I know why the episode exists and has seemingly no connection to anything else in the season (same with the Christmas episode, for the same reason); they had a 10 episode arc written out, and then the first season was such a monster hit that Apple told them to add two more episodes to the order and they didn't want to disrupt the overall storyline so they came up with two filler episodes, basically. So... I get why it feels so odd and out of place. But at the same time, I'm just still not convinced Beard is a character we ever needed a full episode about. He's kind of like Creed on The Office; he works better in doses and when he's a mysterious and weird figure just off to the side.

Beard After Hours is highly referential to the film After Hours [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/After_Hours_(film)] by Martin Scorsese. That film is filled with symbolism and scenes that feel dreamy, out of place, and a bit weird. I think the idea is to feel a bit lost watching the film, and the episode tries for the same thing. I don't know if Beard After Hours is a complete success, but I like that they tried something really different. And it was a bold choice to reference a movie that a majority of the audience of the show likely have not watched

Regarding pub closing times, pubs close at ~11:30pm, bars close at 2-4am, clubs close at 3-7am depending on the club.

Yeah sorry, I started skipping intro, whenever you guys started doing the Dragon Ball Super Intro Preview. Like why show it, when I am about to watch the video anyways. That's why I clicked on it. I know, it's probably for people who are unsure if they wanna watch it or not, and it's to hook them.

Don't know if it's intended as a D&D refference but it is definitely a nod to Symphony of the Night. That is exactly what the save points in that game looked like. Also remember what Dracula said. Hector and Isaac Hate humans where the rest of the vampires do not. The vampires see humanity as live stock and enjoy the act of slaughter but there's no actual hatred behind them
