lol sorry Mickey the cat is definitely not upper 3, in fact it isnt even the first time we've seen that cat, it belong to Tamayo the female demon from season 1 who is attempting to turn Nezeko human again. Our main characters send upper rank demon blood back to Tamayo using this cat, It was in the season 2 finale as well as the episode in season 1 with the drumming demon.

RWBY EP 5, so y’all talked over the explanation but the Cat said that being eaten by the Jabbawalker would prevent ascension. That’s the equivalent to perma-death in that world. Do y’all watch English language shows with captions? If not, highly recommend it. Keeps you from missing stuff

Yeah missing subtitles on English dubs is a big complaint about CR in general. Word is it's relatively high on their to-do list but I wouldn't hold my breath on that getting fixed anytime soon

Regarding Demon Slayer: Great reaction as always... but you might want to seriously consider watching a refresher video about the first 2 seasons, because you have forgotten some pretty vital stuff, it seems like. This is totally normal, but you could improve your experience, if you weren't so confused about stuff that has already been explained and what happened in earlier seasons. TBH it can be a little bit frustrating to watch you create wild theories about things we already know. So I think it could improve viewer experience as well. BTW considering how Kanao (the older butterfly girl and the apprentice to the insect Hashira) was totally without emotions in S1, it is remarkable to see her actually reacting so strongly. It seems like it is mostly when it involves Tanjiro, but she doesn't have to use the coin anymore and it is great progress.

Yeah. It's kinda annoying when people say Demon Slayer's story isn't that great when they don't pay attention to the story at all. Don't get me wrong, the plot for Demon Slayer is a 7/10 at best, but the writer did put some thought into it. Many of their questions were already answered in previous seasons and there is a lot of foreshadowing and tidbits in previous seasons that will become more relevant as the story progresses. It's very far from Attack on Titan levels of pre-planning, but Demon Slayer does reward you for paying attention. The action overshadows the plot so that may be a reason why many people forget some of the plot details.

The Greater-Scope Villain

We now have confirmation that Cinder Fall is still very much one of the primary sources of trauma and terror within Ruby Rose, right up there with Penny and Salem. In fact, most of the heroes' trauma throughout the entire series has been because of Cinder, which makes sense as Cinder is the main villain. And given how Cinder has conflicts with virtually every character, I doubt that the series will wrap that up within 2 Volumes. I reckon we still have a few more Volumes at least before the final battle with Cinder and the end of the series.

That guy is not Tanjiro's dad (this is not a spoiler lol). Even the manga didnt present this clearly.

This isn’t a spoiler. The swordsman with the earrings in the dream is not Tanjiro’s dad. That scene is admittedly a bit confusing, but the Tanjiro looking guy is Tanjiro’s ancestor. The dream is the ancestor’s memory. The viewer is not supposed to really know exactly who the swordsman is yet, but he’s been shown in quick flashbacks like in the Daki fight and another time I think i’m forgetting. It’s actually a pretty simple scene, but I see how it’s confusing. What you’re supposed to take from that scene is, “oh dang, they just showed this upper moon guy and Tanjiro’s ancestor seems like he knew him” I hate that his ancestor looks 99% like him, I knew people would be confused as soon as I read that part.

To add on...while it's not explicitly clear just peep the timeline. Tanjiro is the first to see Muzan in long enough that all the Hashira got excited. If his pops put fear in Muzan it's a safe bet the Kamado name would ring out as his pops died young...Urokodaki is older than his dad would have been. Flame breathing has also been mentioned as the first technique and Tanjiro came by it in the form of a dance his family passed down.

The plot isn't really that difficult to follow, I feel like. It is just the single viewing and the time between seasons that are messing it up. I would never demand that anyone watch the entire show again, as it is too much of a time investment (even though I found every re-watch enjoyable), but they could benefit from a video that explains the most important stuff from S1 and S2 in 10-20 minutes... which is all that is really needed for the important information. Also, just to be clear, I don't think a more intricate plot makes for a better plot. I think that DS is great because it is simple and answers most questions by itself (as long as one doesn't forget previous seasons). It is obviously impressive when a wildly complicated plot comes together, but I can enjoy DS just as much, even without those. It satisfies a different need for me.

Probably my biggest issue with MHA is just the fact that it takes place over 1 year. Way too much for such a condensed timeline. The cat in Demon Slayer was the familiar of that doctor demon lady (that I can't recall the name of) who is trying to cure the demon condition by collecting the blood of upper rank demons. On another note I don't know if it's supposed to be pronounced U.F.O. table or just like one word ufotable (I prefer the latter), but they're my favorite studio, with Mappa a close second
