I never got the hate for this movie. I love all 5 of the original rocky movies and my rank is 4,35,1,2. In the rocky game for Xbox I use to fight with tommy a lot and never hated him as much as everyone else either.

Well, let’s see if this movie has aged any better than I remember it having been. So excited for next weekend. Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) is an incredible closing chapter. Aside from the expected suspension of disbelief required, it’s better than anyone could have expected six films in, and an emotionally resonant capper to the franchise altogether. That being said, Creed is pretty damn fantastic.

I don't think you should look for cinema quality assessment with normies. They're great at what they do and I'm having fun. But I wouldn't expect a thorough look at film making

This movie for me was always a good. I never understood why people didn't like it. You get to see rocky in a hole new light. I loved the relationship they showed between rocky and his wife. His son was a very good actor in this movie.

“1 wasn’t really that strong” is the take on the 1976 Best Picture winner? Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I have to say that one confused me. But I did really enjoy this reaction. Looking forward to Balboa! Assuming you’ve already recorded it, hopefully suspending your disbelief wasn’t too hard. There are some scenes which I think would have made it easier to buy that were unfortunately cut from the final film. In the end though, the plausibility isn’t really what the movie is supposed to be about, so it works for me anyways.

My statement is clearly hyperbole. Art is obviously subjective. I’m making the point that I think Rocky is far superior to the sequels. Rocky won the Academy Award for best picture, the sequels have ratings in the 5s and 6s on IMDB.

You know on the making money thing. I think Rocky was making money, and an okay amount of it. They were still living with Pauly sure, but at the same time he had the gym up and running, they didn't seem like they were wanting for anything either, and they had a decent enough Christmas. I mean sure they weren't in the mansion anymore but I think they were just living within their means. I mean Tommy Gunn was also making money. He moved out of the Balboa's place and presumably had his own home somewhere. I think he was just lured in with rich money rather than just comfortable money.
