Whoever came up with this title of this post, ghost wrote To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick.

Plus Ultra Saturdays are a thing now, so glad to have fresh MHA!

sol

Ahhhh yayyy so happy the dub is out

KevinFromNewYork

Love those my hero premieres that don't matter

Bejo

At least this one wasn’t just a recap episode like the previous two. So it’s a lot more enjoyable. Not that I hated the last ones. They were good as far as recaps go

Michael

Btw, y'all heard many of their hero names, Grape Juice included, in Season 2 Episode 13, titled " Time to Pick Some Names". Bakugo wanted to call himself King Explosion Murder I heard someone call out; Miss Midnight vetoed it I think, so he's still undecided. Pinky originally tried Alien Queen but also got vetoed lol These "episode 0" have happened every season, with the reintroductions, too, though this one was one of the more eventful and least clip-show! The actual season arcs begin in earnest in 2nd episode of season. And of course Endeavor is handsome, he's Icy Hot's papa;)

Rana was about to say something about dabi and I know what she was gonna say lol

React to UA:LA by rivenx3i, it's amazing

Laurence Reyes

This made me realize that MIckey is the least smart normie.

REACT TO UA:LA!!!!! Link here: https://youtu.be/1oPMw8ftL6w

Alex cleveland

Ohhhh yayyyyyy!!!!! We have to react to MHA S5 EP 1 filler recap for every 1st ep of a new season of MHA lmao. Ik there's only like one min of canon, and its at the very end of the episode lol. I never understood seasonal anime making filler eps lmao just to show recap that doesn't need a recap every other season. But at least MHA is back 😂🤷🏽‍♂️🖤

Jared

FUCK YEAH NAVI

Jjop017

I was surprised the dub came out this week. I thought we might not get the dub until near the end of the month. Happy will be able to get the Normies and Blind Wave reactions of this season sooner than expected.

Quinton Campbell

"I knew he was sus" lmao so glad Navi is here 😂😁

Champion Bescos

A wild Navi... wait, NAVI?! Holy shit. LETS GO! Glad to have her.

Damn this was earlier than expected!

Well I do wonder how they are going to make it in the next season because things will be different to say the least. I think main priority with these first episodes is to make sure to reengage people and remind them of everyone. A lot of the time it isn't needed but I mean we could simply just have 24 episodes instead of 25 like a lot of other anime. It may also have something to do with how they are directing everything. They may have certain stopping and starting points for arcs and in order to make sure nothing is drawn out and the ending for the season is a good cliffhanger they probably want to add some filler and recap in the beginning to make sure it happens. I also heard from someone that the TV station or whatever has an agreement with the studio to make a recap/anime original episode but I don't know if that is totally true or not. Either way it could have good reason as to why it happens. I mean it isn't that big of a deal. We could have went without this episode at all and waited the extra week but the studio wants to make more for the series. I would be more glad that it has a studio that cares enough about the series they make to give it extra content.

Mickey and Nahid always have some super random dumb takes every now and then. It happens a lot in MHA and in Rezero. There are a number of possible reasons as to why this first episode is recap and filler. One reason they might have a contract that makes them do recaps and a filler episode to get everything back on track and reengage the viewers. Another is that they have to plan where the arcs start and stops. They have a picture of what kind of cliffhanger the season is going to end with. They could easily leave this first episode out and it would start a week later and only be 24 episodes but the studio cares about adding extra content. They could have a bit of a disaster like last season where some places are too dragged out and the direction feels off (which is primarily due to not being prepared for the movie they were doing at the same time. I heard they are prepared this time around so we should be alright.) A lot of people that watch this series can forget and not as easily keep up with the characters. If they consistently pound all of these characters into your head you are more likely to remember them. MHA isn't meant to have every character be super important and integral to the plot but when they do appear you need to remember who they are and what they do. A lot of people don't like recap and filler episodes in the beginning of each season and I understand because everyone wants to go straight into the good stuff but at least this series doesn't constantly throw in filler and fluff out everything to the point of annoyance. Nahid literally does reactions to boring naruto filler and these are multiple episodes upon episodes.

I'm going to have to respectfully, but hardcore, disagree with Nahid and Mickey on the idea that All Might needs to die. I think that is a fundamental misunderstanding of what Horikoshi is doing with this series, but I'm not surprised because this is a common take in fandom. First off, the mentor dying is a tired cliche. It's actually more surprising and interesting if All Might survives. It is fascinating as hell that the man who was once the strongest person on earth, a man that did not at first see the spark in a Quirkless boy, must pick up his life and live out the rest of his days as quirkless himself. All Might is a disabled character, and it's moving as hell to see him continue onward with his life, finding ways to live and continue to contribute such as raising Izuku. It's insulting to say he needs to die for him to have an impact on the story when his actions are still resonating throughout the plot. In fact, in a way, All Might has symbolically died at Kamino, and now Yagi Toshinori is left behind to figure out how to continue living with his power gone. There are still stakes in that Izuku cares about Toshinori, and now is moving into a forefront protector role, while Toshinori moves back to a supportive father-like role. All Might still has a role to play, it's just not smashing things anymore, it is centered around the emotional beats of the story instead. Idk it's just frustrating to continuously see this take, ignoring the rich potential All Might being forced to live, not sacrifice himself anymore, is to the storyline. We've already had a mentor die, Nighteye, and what was his sole belief? That All Might would die, he believed he could not change the future, and Izuku proves to us that this is a possibility. All Might tells Inko (Izuku's mom) he will stay alive and raise her son, he promises Izuku they will continue fighting to change fate. AFO taunts All Might saying he should have died and let Izuku leave the nest as he did with Shiggy setting these two characters to be foils of each other with diametrically opposed viewpoints on how to treat and "raise" their successor. All the signs are pointing in the opposite direction about where this story is heading with All Might and yet everyone gets stuck on that cliche, convincing themselves that he must and is going to die. Anyway, I disagree and I hope you see what I mean in the future. Great reactions and Rana is smart as hell :)

Jjop017

That is a great take. For me some of my favorite All Might moments have happened after his final battle with AFO. His talk with Inko, AFO taunting him on his powerlessness at the prison, the vow to live for Midoroya, and even that great conversation with Endeavor, which truly helped Endeavor find his starting point to become a better person. All of those great moments for me outweighed All Might dying at Kamino. I’m still not sure if All Might is out of the woods yet, but I felt him dying at Kamino wasn’t necessary for the story to get darker or have more impact. The series is still dealing with aftermath of All Might retirement the same way as if he had died.

Erich Bomke

He's actually quite intelligent (least smart is not a thing in this phrasing). Saying something like this based off of an opinion and comments to an animated show...haha.

Nathan

I mean most hero names are pretty lame if you think about it...Superman...Batman...

Richely

when will i get 5x2 reaction? ((

Champion Bescos

Shoutout to Micky for editing the youtube version so quickly/same day the dub dropped.

Max

I really hope they do. One of the best MHA fan videos out there.
