The hyuga incident was a long time ago but it was about when the cloud tried to kidnap hinata and then eventually neji's dad sacrificed himself to maintain relations between the two villages.

The only real spoilers in the intro they already seen in this episode or have been told it’s going happen. Everything else never really happens (I really wish some of it happened) so it’s just hype animation.

I'm kinda sad that they don't remember that the Cloud tried to kidnap Hinata and ultimately lead to the death of Neji's father. lol I guess when you hear about them as "other village" they just seem like bad guys. But being introduced to them as characters makes it feel like they're good guys. And you forget they're the same people.
