I think he lives in his own small house on his parents’ farm. Simon said in season 1 that doing a sport helps you get better grades (this is not the case in public school, we don’t even have extra curricular activities in school. Sports, choir or w/e you’re a part of is all organised by organisations not connected to school) and I think the reason he’s staying on the rowing team is because switching would be difficult and he might even like it. That seems so corrupt that kids can get better grades if they join a sport! The whole school system in this show seems corrupt. Especially in the first season when Simon was pressured to pay for private lessons even though he was already smart.
