Are you alright? You got really emotional there, I hope you're ok. Internet hug? I've seen others suggest that at least Bill made an effort not to leave a family bereaved and to take a girl who at the bottom of her heart sounded like she almost wanted to die. I bet some procurers would go for sex workers for exactly this reason. Plus sex workers go missing all the time, after all. Horrible thought. Also awful when Russell said "I'm thinking.... ethnic". Not only planning to kill and eat somebody, but fetishizing their race? Ugh. I think it is hard to defend Bill's actions. He actually ripped a chunk out of the girl's thigh, for god's sake. However, it's certainly true that he has no choice. From what we've seen so far, monarchs have absolute power in their areas - they say jump, their subjects ask how high. With the possible exception of the Magister - Russell said he could put the Queen on trial, so he must have some kind of position of authority. Bill couldn't have declined the 'meal', either. He has to do what the king says and if he looks like he's not playing by Russell's rules, he is in very great danger and so is Sookie. Russell already threatened to harm Sookie and tried to have one of his wolves take her, I don't think it would take much for him to go after her again. Interesting to see the previous "cruelty-free, all willingly donated" line mean absolute jack when Russell is not trying to seduce somebody into his service. But perhaps that's more Talbot's thing, the cruelty-free dining. Or perhaps it's meant to be a comment on the Southern way of living - hospitality, good manners, high tea with little pinkies crooked, but for some of them, terrible morals behind the polite faces. It's shocking to me because it was so unnecessary. They could have fed non-fatally and had a grand old time, or at least glamoured the poor girl. On a totally different topic, I re-watched a couple of your earlier True Blood reactions recently. I hadn't even noticed the change in hairstyle over time! Looked good before but I think it looks awesome now, the longer hair really suits you. Also off-topic, but this is one of the rare series that seems to sexualise genders pretty evenly and I LOVE it. I am so used to seeing women with their bits and bobs on show and fully-clothed men, so seeing lots of men with their kit off is awesome.

This is a dark season if you couldn't already tell. Complicated and complex with stories that intersect in unexpected ways. But very dark. I remember every episode giving me anxiety when I watched originally. Lol There's Debbie Pelt!

I’m okay thanks😄 I just really felt for the girl and for Bill because he didn’t want to kill her, but a part of him did want to and he couldn’t do anything to help Sookie. Just a lot of emotions going on. Yeah I used to have long hair awhile ago so I’m growing it out again. And yeah I like that this show shows nudity and sexuality of both genders.

It is dark. I feel like I’ve lost Bill. So many shows are filled with main characters that are villains and anti-heroes and grey characters that it was nice to have a seemingly good character in Bill to count on, but now he’s different, not by choice but still different😭

One of the things I like about True Blood is the fact that all the characters do questionable, even downright reprehensible things at some point or another. No one is the morally-superior hero, everyone lives in a morally gray area. Especially vampires. Bill said he had to work very hard to find his humanity again and that was after he left Lorena. Now she is back in his life and he can’t seem to get rid of her, and he feels like he keeps putting Sookie is danger, so he thinks he is doing the right thing by distancing himself from her. And if he can’t be with the one he loves he might as well give in to evil again, because nothing matters anyways. It’s interesting to see him go to dark side again, I think. Also at the same time, we are seeing Eric grow more vulnerable and even though Sookie still hates him and doesn’t trust him, we can clearly see that he’s not really a villain, or he no worse than Bill can be.

otherboy

Yeah but if Eric follows through with framing Bill I’m gonna have to cancel him for a little bit😂

I'm back to watching your reactions...I was waiting for a chunk of episodes. Great reaction 😊😊😊
