So, the site I use to upload the full uncut reactions (Vimeo) is now causing me problems because apparently too many people watch my videos (and their site can't handle it all the extra bandwidth)... so they are forcing me to either pay A LOT more, or they'll delete all my uploads.

The price they are charging is ridiculous and makes no sense why it would be that much, so I have decided to switch somewhere else which means I have to manually upload every reaction to some other site.

I wanted to ask all of you, which sites you enjoy using the most (if you have experience on other reactor Patreon pages)... because I don't have much experience with other sites.

I need something that doesn't limit bandwidth and is good for the user experience.

If you could recommend sites that you are familiar with and enjoy using, I would appreciate it! Only other ones I know about are Streamable and Sync.com, but I don't know if you all would like that or not.

I've seen streamable, Dropbox, and Google drive (the latter two are always recommended to download to view rather than stream)

Samuel

I know several reactors who use OneHub, which seems to work well, I don't know anything about the uploading/possible subscription/storage aspect of it, but seems like the ones I know who use it, SimpleReactions and JayPerView for instance, it works fine, so could be a possibility ?

Sorry ur having trouble; I use Google Drive and it’s super easy and not expensive. Good luck ~ American Mum 💚

Dale Lisle

I see a lot of people use Google drive or dropbox as others have said in the comments.

Well I've seen other reactors use both Sync and Streamable. You could upload your videos to both of those (and/or Vimeo) then post the links to both of them. Some people will click one link, some will click the other. This will spread the bandwith usage over multiple sites instead of just one.

MovieFusion

That does make sense but the only issue is that I'll have to spend money on three separate services instead of one. But that would probably still be a lot less than what Vimeo is trying to charge me LOL, so I might actually go ahead with that idea, thank you! Gonna keep looking into it

Most reactors I follow use google drive. We just stream it through the link they send or download the full file if we want. It's pretty easy.

Samuel

No, not that I know of, it'll be a link that will open a new tab/window with the video

Sync is pretty good! There are those who upload their uncut reactions in a Google Drive folder.

How can 300 of us patrons even cause so much bandwidth usage, sounds more like they're trying to fleece you because they can lol

I'd advise against Sync. Some of the worst buffering issues, rewinding issues, fast forwarding issues, etc I've seen from a video service. CinemaRules is a pretty popular channel and I know they just use Google Drive, I believe it has a native video player. For new videos I'd sort of advise just removing or blurring out the video/audio of the movie completely and using Youtube private links with an on-screen timer. I'm sort of curious what process other Patrons of yours use to watch the uncut reactions. Being that you still use the movie audio on your videos means its near impossible to sync up our own copies of the movie with yours because there's always going to be some sort of audio echo between our copy and yours. And obviously putting lines over your copy of the movie sort of makes it hard to just watch a movie from your screen alone.

Dasypodidae

I do a watch along with my own copy and turn of the audio in my own copy. That usually works fine unless the audio levels in the reaction video are not great but then it's mostly so that the audio of the video they react to is set low and then it makes it easier to keep the audio of my own copy on and sync them up with no echo. I think I prefer it though that if a reactor doesn't offer full video in the full length reactions that they don't include audio so I can use my own and sync up via blurred video or subtitles.

MovieFusion

I'm not sure how most watch it. I know many who do use their own copy but mute the audio on their own so there's no echo. I know some who just watch it through the video itself and the lines aren't a big deal to them cuz they've seen the movie/show before anyways and know what scene I am reacting to. It's hard to find the best way to do it because I am trying to please as many people as possible with still trying to not have any copyright issues.

MovieFusion

They have a limit of 2 TB bandwidth per month. Somehow I'm doing like 2.3 TB per month for the past few months. I don't know how many viewers can cause that much, but apparently not a lot lol

MovieFusion

Thank you! Did you ever have problems with really long wait times for Google Drive video uploads? Cuz I remember when I used to use it for a little it had that problem sometimes for me. Maybe it was just my wifi though, idk

It only takes about 20 minutes to export a 2 hour video (for movies) at 720p. Then I use Handbrake to make the file smaller. It’s the easiest for me… 💚

I can't believe you're refusing to pay them. I thought a DANnister always pays his debts.

It probably didn't help that I watched your S06 Ep10 reaction 3 times. Oops, sorry.
