On the "rest" thing, it's something I personally learned at my dojo in the leadership program. There, we call it "sharpening the saw." tl;dr a story of two lumberjacks in a contest to see who can chop down a tree first, one guy stops and sharpens his saw, the other keeps going, the first guy wins since he rested. It's a topic I've personally been dealing with a lot lately. I've just been going and going and going until I finally had a severe crash last Thursday night. I had to disconnect from IM and social media for almost four days just to start feeling *slightly* better. Self-care is SO important. You have to listen to yourself. If you don't, then you'll just crash and burn HARD. This actually happened in a text-based roleplay where I'm writing Blake. Weiss is...very different and has severe codependency issues and, from the beginning basically, Blake's been Weiss' caretaker and guide. She understand what abuse is like, the tactics used in it, the effects of PTSD and C(omplex)-PTSD which is what this version of Weiss has, and so on. Yang's been her support as they've been romantically involved for a while. However, because both of them have been going without rest, they're at the point of crash and burn. So they need to spend time apart and recuperate so they don't put enough strain on their very *souls* to damage them. Not helping is the fact Blake has her own severe codependency issues that she's trying to work on at the same time as helping Weiss... (Needless to say, this is a very very non-canon compliant alternate universe.)

Personally, me(who is fully caught up) ships SunxBlake(have since day 1) and JaunexWeiss(which I didn’t think I’d like for a good while). RenxNora of course and I ship Ruby with a character you’ve yet to see yet but that’s as far as my shipping goes.

damnn are you a psych major? ANd by codependency issues do you mean in the roleplay? Because in the show she doesn't seem that codependent. SHe has hella trust issues and social interaction issues and a bucketload of identity and self worth issues- but she never seems that codependent.AS for RP do you have any OC's by any chance? Me and some buddies on discord have been trying to run an OC rwby RP for a while.

This was the first ever episode of Rwby I watched with zero context and I thought it was just a standard high school slice of life series. Then I actually watched the intro and that’s what finally hooked me but boy was I confused when I first saw the Grimm 😂

I really loved that moment with Blake and Yang, I really love the two of them together, really healthy I think. They bring out the best in each other and really know how to balance the worst. This episode was probably the one that dragged me down into the rest of RWBY haha, really caught my attention.

I love this moment between Yang and Blake. I think it's easy to interpret their concern for her as them devaluing her struggle, and that scene is just so heart-wrenching when she realizes how much they care about her.
