Did anyone else feels like something was missing or was it just my dumb ass lol.

First of all Mitsuri having almost 0 fighting screen time was insane, don't know if the manga showed more or not, was not expecting tengen level of fighting but after showing how likable she is, i guess more of her would of only been a plus.

Also is it me or Nezuko actually surviving in the sunlight wasn't fully explained, i mean i did went back and rewatched it and still didn't feel like i fully grasped it. Im always the first to put my hands up when im lost, and today both hands are raised.

Overall a solid season, i just wish maybe there was another episode or so, i don't know man maybe the manga could of been an option for this specific season.

MAN, THAT LAST EPISODE SAVE WHOLE ARC, I ACCIDENTALLY GOT SPOILED WITH NEZUKO THING (OPENING + TWITTER) BUT EVEN WITH THIS I HAD TEARS, HOW THEY DONE THIS SCENE IT'S 11/10, UFOTABLE GREATNESS I will never say a word again that this title is overrated

Vanvirtual

Kinda all over the place, not sure there was a concrete direction but it was still pretty good! Just a weaker ending than the expectation we had but its okay

Aaron

Entertainment district was wayyyy better. Both uppers are more powerful than gyotaro but the story and animation made upper 4 and 5 look like fodder.

Zubair

this season was mid, Entertainment district, Mugen train are both levels above. and Mitsuri character is boring, shes lame ass Hashira. These upper demons were defeated way easier than last seasons. Overall 6.5/10 this season for Yaiba standards

Ray

I watched this episode on my ones and i was expectin everyone to have a reaction of an elite 10/10 episode. I'm kinda surprised with everyone's reaction of disappointment wtf. And khan sayin the manga adaptation mightve been better to read is crazy. Just goes to show everyone has different opinions.

Ray

Bro i feel like u r the rare person that acc enjoyed this episode with me. It was done so well. Im not sayin everyone but i think a few people r just bumlicking khan and can't formulate their own opinions.

m1kexo

Yea, im not satisfied with this, expected more but people say it gets better so we will see

Agreed with everyone saying this season felt really underwhelming incomparison to the last 2. Things to keep in mind however, this arc was mediocre in the manga as well compared to every other arc so it was nothing unexpected. Ufotable done a good job with what they had to work with. I feel like the reason why these upper moon demons were defeated easier than the previous 2 is because the story is trying to emphasise the power of awakening the 'mark' which Mitsuri and Muichiro both unlocked. Let's also not forget Akaza is number 3 for a reason, the skill gap between 1-3 and 4-6 must be huge alot like the lower 6 being significantly weaker than upper 6. Gyotaro was the weakest of the upper 6 and it took a marked Tanjiro/hashira/awakened Nezuko form to deal with him. Muzan also stated that the main reason he lost was due to his sister being a liability. Side note - anyone who likes Mitsuri as a character is a fucking nonce. Glad that dope had no screen time, nothing interesting or intriguing about her character at all just an annoying generic anime bitch🤡🤡🤡

great season very short sadly. Only explanation I could have for Nezuko overcoming sun is that since her blood is always changing maybe it took her getting burnt by the sun for her body and blood to adapt and change based on that; but I'm hoping maybe her overcoming the sun will be more explained down the road. Wish we could've seen at least a little more of mitsuri fight. But I also understand why. She couldn't kill the demon so wasn't much point in showing. They have to do maybe 2 arcs for one season though. Because these seasons are way too short. We went from 26 eps in season 1, to a movie, to 12 in season 2, then to 11 in season 3.

Zubair

when I saw Nezuko walking to Tanjiro I had a Kinemon flashback #StopFakeOutDeaths

myboysanji

nezuko conquering the sun made this arc 6/10 to me. would have been lower without it.

Saleem Ali

Never once thought Nezuko would die. That's like Zoro dying in Thriller Bark

woah this ep was the best. Different types of fighting, short arc but last ep saved it TT so beautiful.

This episode was a banger. But I was a bit let down by the middle of the season. And for season 1 and 2, I see myself as a big defender. People say Demon slayer is only carried by the animation, but I thought untill now the story and emotions and so on were spectacular as well. Mitsuris backstory didn't hit very hard for me. (Basically everyone was supportive of her, except for some weirdos who didn't want to marry an absolute bombshell because of her hair color, or because she is strong (while not even looking abnormally buff). And then she didn't fight a lot either. Could have had spectacular animation with the sword. From the 6 Upper moons, these 2 Demons already looked like trash, compared to the top 3. And it was true. Basically no backstory, just villains to be disposed off. The first fight was underwhelming too. I liked some of the themes, but on the other hand they weren't really consistent. Yes he survived because he did the illogical thing of saving the kid earlier. But that was just luck. And once he regained his memory, it seemed like he was simply stronger than the demon. It was a bit anticlimactic. The second fight was better. I liked the Idea of a self righteous demon, who against all logic saw himself as the victim. Normally the demons acknowledge themselves that they are assholes, and might makes right. They are the predator. And Tanjiro is the one who forgives them. This turns the dynamic around. The demon plays the victim, and Tanjiro won't forgive that.

I don't like it doesn't translate to this is foolish xD Well it's a Shonen so i guess it does somehow

This season is probably the worst season, partly because it is only 11 episodes, but mostly because the writing in this arc isn't as great as previous ones. The season is still very good, just not amazing. We got no backstories for either of the upper moons, they are probably the worst upper moons in terms of writing and interest. Its also very hard for hashiras to be better than Tengen and Rengoku, so Muichiro and Kanroji had a tough task capturing the audience better.

Turza

Episode was 10/10 for me. So good

Bling Blaow

I love this season but i can understand that it may be a bit weaker for people. Nevertheless greatness is coming so we have that to look forward to :)

tommieS

I would have loved to see the other hashira's reactions, like the end of the disctrict arc, when they are notified that a upper rank has been defeated, I was waiting for that moment >_<

7/10 is a fair rating for this season IMO. Not seeing Mistsuri fight more was a bit of a bummer but unlike Tengen or Rengoku she isn't unable to fight anymore, so we will definitely see her in action in future seasons. I really enjoy the light hearted joke type moments/animation in this series but feel they done it way to much this season and that really took away from the immersion. When the sun came out and Nezuko kicked Tanjiro away and the flashbacks of her started playing I teared up, I didn't expect them to kill her off so it caught me off guard and would have been an insane twist. I really think they could have done how she survived better though. I think they should have had the scene with Tamayo writing the letter about Nezukos blood constantly evolving in the previous season when she destroys the upper 6ths poison in everyone's bodys with her flames or early this season and had the scene end when she calls Yushiro in to summon the cat then have had a small flashback as Nezuko was walking towards Tanjiro as he was crying on the ground saying he came this far for her with the rest of that scene saying how she thought soon Nezuko would adapt to withstand the sun. With all that said I would say the season was 8/10 maybe even 8.5 what brought it down to a 7 for me was Muzans Origin. I was anticipating since the series began how this insanely powerful demon came to be and was looking forward to his origin but it all comes down to him being sick and a random doctor giving him some medicine. Hugely disappointing to the point as i'm typing this and thinking about it maybe this season is even a 6 because now I won't have have the anticipation of looking forward to an epic origin. Also seems like a bit of an oversight to show us he was aware of Nezuko becoming immune to the sun and his goal now being to eat her. He knows where they are and everyone is so weak from the battle he could just nab her up straight away. Why didn't he have the Biwa demon lady in the infinity castle teleport him there like she did with upper 4 and 5. Bit of poor story telling there. I also wish we got a little more post battle scenes with everyone together, just all of them having a meal and talking would have been cool. Would have been nice to see Tokito talking to Tanjiro about getting his memories back or why Genya can gain demonic abilities by eating them or just some more Nezuko/Mitsuri cuteness moments. We didn't even see them all saying goodbye to each other. Going straight to Tanjiro and Nezuko leaving the village made it feel a bit rushed. Thats all from a story standpoint though obviously 10/10 animation, Ufotable forever the GOAT

Jurriën Bolding

Not sure why Khan expected to see Mitsuri fight a lot, she was fighting a meaningless fight, merely holding back the emotion demon from going after Tanjiro and the others, what Tanjiro's group was doing was WAY more important, so of course Mitsuri didn't get any screen time.

Magic O

Mitsuri had a whole episode and several of her attacks were shown. xD I wouldnt call that 0 screen time, since Demon Slayer is pretty fast-paced and straightforward storywise.

I'm not sure what's confusing about the notion that nezuko could "conquer the sun." So far we've seen that she comes from a line of sunbreathers who pray to the sun god to ward off injuries and disasters, her brother wields the literal power of the sun, and his soul is the sun with a bunch of sun sprites floating around. Seems a bit intuitive that she should be able to survive in sunlight.

Bapo224

Something I really loved about demon slayer is that it felt like Tanjiro was getting stronger due to his own hard work. I didn't really like them shifting focus to the sun breathing being kinda inherited from an ancestor, and now they're doubling down on that by adding this Nezuko bullshit on top. Really hate when main characters are super strong or 'chosen ones' based on pure luck.

Jajoe

+ she is a different kind of being, who never ate human. She is not a demon (as Muzan likes to refer to the mutation) in that sense. She is an evolved form. It is impressive how few actually pay attention

Jajoe

wdym? Tanjiro still has to train, he only remembers the movements of his father he got to see many times + the inherited memories of the cells. He can't just do it, hence why he had to train over a year to even learn the basics. It might shock you but that is actually a thing. Nature + Nurture will get you to places. The one character who takes this to the extreme is Muichiro. His cell memories are so strong that he just is a beast from the get go. But he also trained very hard to be where he is right now. Doesn't matter how much talent you have, if you are a lazy bum, all is wasted. That's the point.

Bapo224

Cell memory isn't a real thing, you can't inherit memories from ancestors. That's exactly the bullshit I was talking about. Of course Tanjiro couldn't have made it if he was a lazy bum, but everyone else couldn't do what he's doing now even if they work twice as hard. That's my point.
