Hey hi hello, strange and wonderful patrons!

Here is your fifth instalment in your cheeky top-secret-itty-bitty Barbette January vlogs, where I've gathered up in my metaphorical arms the terabytes of studio footage from my Fall & Winter 2022 research and creation and put it through a video-editing meat grinder to create the tasty digital cocktail weenie before you.

Today's episode looks at the dreaded 'Ballerine' section* –

(*There isn't actually a 'Ballerine' character anymore; it's a throwback reference to the earlier physical iteration of this act's choreography, but I find myself still using it to refer to the second section of the act (the part that comes after the big giant opening dress sequence)

I loathe this section with a grimy, teeth-clenching intensity that borders on the pathological.

I shall learn to love it. 🥲

You can look forward to your next instalment of top-secret-Barbette-vlogs on Wednesday at 12pm EST. In the meantime –

Stay strange and wonderful!
XO

Yesssss for happy transition accidents! I love that transition you found! It looks like one of those “how the hell did you get over here” wizardry skills that is pleasing to the brain.
