Show Notes:

It's the SECOND and FINAL half of the 2019 COMMANDER SUMMIT!

Each year, we gather with prominent members of the EDH community to debate and discuss the hot button issues of the day. We reached out to a multitude of Commander Luminaries from across in the EDHsphere, including content creators and members of the CAG and Rules Committee, to get their thoughts on things like: Should the hybrid mana rules be changed? What rules should be added or changed? And, of course, what cards should be banned or unbanned?

idk, i think hybrid rules are fine the way the are... Can you imagine playing Reaper King in like mono blue or something LOLOL because thats what would be legal if they change the rules

Around the 24 min mark, Jeremy Noel is talking about the top 3 bans but it has Justin Parnell's twitter handle. Was that in intentional?

Really like Alex's commander damage merging suggestion. I'm strongly opposed to getting rid of the rule completely, but I do agree it has a lot of added baggage. His change would make it much easier to track while also keeping the flavor of deckbuilding opportunities provided by the rule. Also, HUGE shoutout to the editing team for this episode. Must have been a ton of work to put this together. I really liked how they made sure to reintroduce each person before they gave an opinion. Great job guys.

Turn order idea, 1st player no change 2nd player scry 1 3rd player scry 2 4th player (and any more after that) scry 3 The scry would be after choosing to keep a hand I've also always been for scooping at sorcery speed, even in 1v1 games because it can ruin someones fun after they put effort into being able to combo (infinate or not) especially if it is a bit janky and unlikely to happen again. I think that keeps things safer

What if emblems had 'life totals' equal to their -cost, and could be redirected at similarly to the plainswalker itself? mostly just spitballing here but the guys in the car had an excellent point about the increase in existance of the emblems...

Concerning the Un-cards: A group could test gameplay with those cards and WOTC then prints legal Commanders that are functional reprints of the unproblematic Un-cards either in the Commander products or other sets.

Concerning the Un-sets, besides the cards that have "target person outside the game" and a few very broken cards i dont see a problem with using un-set cards in commander. cuz who doesnt want to go up against a commander deck that has every card double sleeved with cheaty face
