Day 4 Report:

Last morning I was trying to figure out why the viewport performance was so terrible in the scene I created the day before. In the end I couldn't figure it out for sure but I've a strong guess. Because this scene seemed unfixable (I tried removing everything besides the blank character) it was basically pointless to proceed and try to work with it. I can't really animate the body with like 1 FPS in the viewport and I had to recreate the entire scene.
My idea for the animation was a potion with actual fluid physics. I first tried for hours to figure out the right settings and animate some simple swirling animation of the potion before drinking but as of now Blenders own fluid sim can't handle moving objects with fluid in them. I then made use of a 3rd party fluid sim where it technically works but I spent way too long on trying to make it work and I threw this idea into the bin for now.
Futhermore I figured out how to give skin little bumps exactly where it's changing. It's a cool effect but it has a similar limitation like I had in my old program because I can't cover the entire body seamlessly at once with that exact technique. I didn't have much time left today but I'll try and get some clips ready to showcase it. Since I spent so much time with fluid sims I feel ready now to make something with it during the challenge, just no swirling moving potion for now. xD
The rig adjustment tool still doesn't seem to work for animation but I wrote the developer that it doesn't work and hopefully there's a fix soon but I most likely will have to render the upcoming animation frame by frame for now.
I wanted to finish something every day (WIPs don't count) with this challenge so I'll see how I make progress on the animation tomorrow and possibly split the day in two to work on something smaller in the second half.

I made a little quicky so I'm not completely empty handed today. I accidentially rendered it as mkv. I hope it works for everyone. Premiere and After Effects can't convert MKVs so I had to convert it with some GIF-Maker, that's why the GIF looks slightly scuffed, sorry for that. I may re-render it this night. The animation is  a bit rough and I may touch it again in the near future but for now... Enjoy~
