stream setup is mostly done! (Patreon)

i'm absurdly happy with how this all came together. it took a while to get things sorted, especially a macro input method that i was really able to work quickly with, but i was able to find something in the form of my M-Audio Keystation Mini 32:

there's still some pretty hacky stuff going on insofar as how it plays back the sound queues, but it works well enough! i'm excited to get some streams going soon and hang out with y'all (and whoever) a bit.

it's definitely going to be a "variety" stream - music, games, obscure video content (i have my laserdisc player and VCR ready for streaming), general hangouts & chat, as well as working through the Retrospective streams i had been working out where i go back through older work and field questions about them (production, story behind them, etc). i guess also routing a speedrun for "METROID -1: The Shadow Strikes" 🥴 🥴 🥴 

i'm also hoping to occasionally have a friend on with me to liven things up. i think it's going to be a lot of fun, and i hope you'll be able to join me for some of them! the scheduling is totally up in the air, but i'll have broadcasts archived for 14 days after the original stream, so you can catch one if you can't see it live (which would be understandable given my atypical sleep cycles)

[edit] i also just put together this little application that allows me to easily manage all of the headers in my stream at once so i don't have to muck around in studio mode or anything

i've attached it as a ZIP if you want to use it. it just dumps 5 text files into the folder which you can load into text sources in OBS. the console selection isn't editable, and i don't plan to make it that way, so maybe you could repurpose the other files in its place :) - since it's a compressed Clickteam Fusion program, it might freak your antivirus out or something.
