Any DnD content! A one-shot or short campaign with the cohorts/friends of MinnMax would be awesome. You could even include some community interaction, like letting patreon supporters suggest NPC's to add to the story or something like that.

I know you don’t want the Two Tens to be a scientific list, but if the goal is to “measure passion,” I think starting with an averaging of each cohort’s personal list and then having the debate from that baseline to make the final list would be a good way to do that. This year it felt like the list was almost randomly decided and not a great reflection of how each person felt about the year’s games.

Nearly all of the recommendations that I would have were already posted above but I think I have one more to pop on the pile.

Every now and then on the Monday Q&A, Ben brings up how the max spoilers for tv/movie content is easy and fun to do but rarely gets the return he’s hoping to see. It’s clear from the poll above that this content might be the least popular of the proposed slate, but there’s still interest in it from both sides. I’m wondering if you could just roll in that content into the core MinnMax show instead?

There are a few blockers I can already see with this change - Ben is generally spoiler-adverse, so conversations about episode 1 of, say, She-Hulk would have to be more about initial reactions and overall feelings moreso than digging deep (since this discussion would be nested between other topics and I’m betting you’d hate to bamboozle your audience with unwanted reveals). *However*, the people that would turn out for one of those conversations would most likely be watching your core show AND anyone who wouldn’t be (which has to be a sliver of the MinnMax audience, right?) would at least check it out every now and then. At that point, if anyone does fall off with the new integration… that’s like what, a very, very small amount of folks at most?

Might make those MinnMax show Youtube titles a little more punchy - “Halo Infinite, Bayonetta 3, God of War Ragnarok, Jurassic World Dominion Impressions - The MinnMax Show”. Flows right into things, keeps something going that you already have a workflow for, and it could potentially fill some time on the show when some weeks look a little light. You could have a spoiler chat after the credits roll on the core show for those that want to stick around.

I’ve seen some folks propose a Frame Trap-esque sibling show where the crew could have an additional chance to talk about (potentially more in-depth) some of the games or media they’ve really been passionate about, and I think that idea rocks. Really feeds into the ‘celebrating positivity’ thing MinnMax has going for it. If the movie talk doesn’t fit in the core MinnMax show, why not have it there? In fact, that would be a good gimmick to get folks in the front door of another MinnMax show.

I absolutely understand that my take on this is a little simple and ‘easy’ - that there are logistical / budgetary things that may make something like this very complicated depending. But this was something rolling around in the back of my head as I was listening to your Monday Q&As and I figured I’d share.

Thank you for all that you do! Looking forward to 2022!

I'd like you to try Giant Bomb esque features like Die Another Friday, Steal My Sunshine, etc.

I really liked the work y'all did at gameinformer when y'all talked to developers. Since y'all are smaller now it would be cool if y'all could interview indie devs for those game's y'all really like that don't get a ton of hype like Chicory.

Not sure if you know already but Janet and Hanson actually did an interview with the Chicory dev! This was the clip from the podcast ep it was in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFstHrPMrn8&t=3s&ab_channel=MinnMax

I don't have time to listen to all MinnMax's stuff and also listen to other gaming outlets. I have other interests. So if yall don't review new games, I probably just won't hear about games haha

Hi Ben and the cohorts! I have really enjoyed Minnmax over 2021. I feel that there is no need for formalized preview/review style content because what I enjoy the most from you guys are the chill longform discussions. I think though, that it would be great to have more cohorts create new shows where they can take the lead and show their personalities as hosts. Looking forward to a great 2022!

Most importantly I just want things you all will enjoy doing. When your enjoying what your doing it makes better content. Whether its just looking at houses or doing a documentary on the Oregon trail.

Honestly I feel like this year has been great and Sarah and Janet have been huge additions. Leo has been great and I love that he adds his VR perspective. The only perspective I sometimes I think is lacking is on a shooter focused side of things. There’s a ton in that genre from indie shooters etc that I think is missing. But I know you can’t just add more perspectives on a whim and the crew is honestly doing so well I couldn’t be happier. Hope to continue to see growth! You all deserve it.

Hey MinnMax, Happy New Year, and I’m personally excited for what’s to come. Candidly, I’d like to see analysis of the Video Game industry as a whole, from Gaming History, to Game Development, to Games Media. I’d like to really dissect the review industrial complex, what has worked in the past and how reviews can be improved to give the Community a better understanding of the products they intend to purchase and enjoy.

Honestly I think you guys already do amazing work, so there is not much more that I want. My only request would be to get Colin Moriarty on Trivia Tower. (I hear Ben going "Heuuu boyyyy" I my head when he reads this lol I feel the gaming industry is inclusive only if you think exactly the same and its time to prove otherwise. You are an independent outlet and could show that coming together in times of divide is exactly what minnmax stands for He's a great, nice, funny and intelligent guy that would make for a fantastic guest, so there is literally no reason for not having him on besides fearing some sort of backlash from other podcasters. I really don't like the political walls the gaming media has built up around itself, I find it obnoxious and Exclusive, furthering divide imo, so it would make my year seeing this kind of content of people just enjoying trivia tower over love of games regardless of who you vote for. It shouldn't, and doesn't matter. Anyways, I really hope you strongly consider this as it would be a boss move. Thanks for 2021, can't wait for whats in 2022

To echo a couple of sentiments already aired. I'd love to see more deep dives on older games and more single player games with colour commentary. Super Mario 64 and Chrono trigger deep dives and The Dirge with Grant and Ronny and Perfect Weapon with Suriel are some of my favourite things you've done. I love long-form hangout vibe, it's about the journey we're taking together! Maybe a topic could be a good addition to the MinnMax show, could encourage more free-form conversation, which you've mentioned you'd like, and it could also help in getting to know the hosts better. If you want to spice it up a bit, Vidjagame Apocalypse has a great twist on the topic idea with their top five X-themed games, where the theme is hitched to a recent release. I'm not saying to do a top five, just an example of a different approach to something tried and true. (That's also one of my favourite podcasts, great hangout vibe, if that's what you're looking for.) Could House Hunter Rise be a good fit for a regular monthly or every-two-months show? It has near universal appeal and everybody loves it, seems a shame not to tap into that. And if anything is eventually going to break through on youtube it seems like that could have a pretty good chance at it. Happy new year, take care!
