Hey Traxxers, Frequently I've heard from people that their music appreciation solidifies with age, what are your thoughts on this? For example, I've heard some people often develop and maintain their musical taste from around 13 - 25. Personally, I find I still add new bands or genres into my library despite getting older. Thanks for the music appreciation!

Hey guys, Do streaming services make new music forgettable in a way? I have a hard time listening to new albums for longer than a week when before I bought an album and listened for what it seemed like an entire season. Am I in the minority here or does anyone else feel this way? I'd like the song WAV Files by Lupe Fiasco To get added to the community playlist. A powerful song about the transport of slaves. https://open.spotify.com/track/0BWve9OJvo7ONwfR36Ty6Z?si=HUG0sjeGRhGPbFarwN2MuQ

Mx is probably my favorite song on the album. I find Annalynn's vocal helped make the track memorable to me. Do you enjoy when artists add additional vocals to a track or does it take away from the experience of the band you are listening to?

Do you ever have a song that is so catchy that it pops in your head for YEARS on end? For the longest time for me it was the Hawaii 5-0 theme. Now it’s this one (listen at your own risk): https://open.spotify.com/track/2kBsRl3YZvxqQBXwmPG2QU?si=o7R4yeOGTW2qutxh6Ibsng

What are your favourite albums or tracks discovered from a TV show or movie? I discovered Khruangbin from the end credits of an episode of Barry on HBO. They're a psychedelic rock/jazz band, mostly instrumental. Con Todo el Mundo has quickly become one of my favourite albums to listen to when I'm stressed and need to chill out.

Hey folks, what's the single craziest thing you've ever seen at a live concert? My friend played in a band called Jugger-nut that is fronted by an old coney-island freak show performer. When I saw them, the singer put a nail into his urethra and hammered it in. To top it off, this was all at my friend's wedding reception. Since one of the albums is a classic hip-hop record, I figured I'd recommend one of my favorite rap songs, "The Greatest Show On Earth" by Aceyalone. Not only is he an incredible rapper, but this song is in 6/8, a time signature you rarely every see people rap over. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGaQBoxzq5c

What is your Favorite song that came out during or inspired the quarantine? Mine is Twenty One Pilot’s Level of Concern.

Thom Blackburn

I don't typically get enamored by production over actual instrumental ability but there is just something about this song that just does it for me. Maybe you guys can give it a go and pick it apart? https://open.spotify.com/track/6sarUARDOnVNNDlo1wC58p?si=1ea-mwU-TamJ4wv4HShSvg

This is a super random question, but I am curious to hear why Matt chose Bob Dylan’s “Went to see the Gypsy” as his “farewell” song to be played over his last episode of the GI show.
