Don't feel bad about missing out on Pokemon Go; I have a smartphone, but I'm not playing Pokemon Go. It requires walking around and traveling, something that I can't really justify doing with all of the artwork that I have to do; besides, I'm just happy listening to all of the Sun/Moon reveals and speculation that's been coming in, especially Lockstin and Bird Keeper Toby's big Pokemon reboot theory...

Pokemon go was fun for a bit, but it's only REALLY fun if you have friends that want to go out and play it, which sucks if the majority of your friends are online friends. And no mans sky could be really cool but i think people forgot it was from an indie developer and not an AAA game studio, so its not surprising that half the creatures are too silly to ever exist and the game itself is so bare bones

Dude, just get a prepaid phone/plan. I've been AFK the past month or so because I was fired, moved to a new state, and since found a new job...I was able to keep my phone on that whole time because the plan is really inexpensive. Unless upgrading your phone constantly is a big deal to you then it works out really well. I still don't play Pokemon Go on it, but I could because I have unlimited data. No Man's Sky though...my excitement for that game died so fast when I started watching Let's Plays of it. So, instead I got We Happy Few and This is the Police...I do not regret either decision.

I've considered it. It doesn't sound like a really graphically intensive game, so a cheapish phone might be able to handle it. Then the phone could just be my games/apps/occasional GPS phone. Maybe one of these days.
