Tirek is from "Rescue at Midnight Castle", the pilot to the original Generation of My Little Pony way back in the 80's. Although the events aren't canon, it's nice to see the show acknowledge it's heritage. He seems to be some sort of centaur, but I think he looked far creepier when he was faded and wizened. The song between the four princesses is really underrated in my opinion. It's one of the few times we get to hear Cadance sing, and I think she has one of the prettiest voices among the cast. Also, note that the door Discord opens as he leaves is textured like a padded room. Just a funny little detail.

I agree that "You'll Play Your Part" is one of the best MLP songs out there, not just in style but also in the story behind it. It's also the first time we ever see Princess Luna sing. So, as a reminder because it goes by in a flash: The earth ponies literally cannot tend the fields to grow crops without their strength which, like Celestia says, is magically-based. The same with pegasi and flight: without the magic behind it (which assumedly gives many of them their high speeds), they simply cannot fly. So no magic = really, really bad in Equestria. Also, reminder to watch Rainbow Rocks next week, NOT Season 5 (as much as I love that season, gotta do Rainbow Rocks first!)

yeah sadly at this point discord has betrayed the mane 6 and is evil again the prospect of controlling the world again is much better then friendship to him and to be very honest I can't blame him even to this day the mane 6 minus fluttershy haven't done crap to show they are true friends with discord more often then not he is considered a nuisance at best in their eyes. does he stay evil and tirek wins or does he feel bad because of his one and ONLY true friend and change his ways we'll have to wait to the next to find out. also next episode remove all fans from the room because the crap will hit the fans
