I’m really exited for it! Couple vids ago I literally asked you if you could extract potassium from bananas 😄👍, it is amazing, i love it. Keep up the great work

What was the liquid you condensed the potassium in? (in the final stage)

C'mon Cody, Gwen Stefani put so much energy into ensuring everyone spells bananas correctly! Not going to lie, I occasionally use that song to check my own spelling :D

This is such a classic Cody experiment. Bravo! Interesting that your background radiation is so low. Mine is closer to 30 cpm in central Georgia.

Awesome video. That final explosion was epic!

Well done video! As always, I enjoy the content. Hope you like the Stefani joke lol

Anonymous

I suggested this long ago! Can't believe you actually did it!

THIS VIDEO IS AWSOME! Did some of the potassium burned away or just vaporized when you converted everything to ash or charcoal?

Anonymous

You're a madman and I love it!

Interesting that there is more Potassium from the Peels than the fruit. Very time consuming but worth it. Cool get K metal from Bananas.

I knew that peels make good fertilizer but it is great to see why they do.

One of your best films - thanks Cody

That was so much fun to watch! Never would have guessed there was enough potassium to do that! Thank you for what you do and teach us! I'm fascinated by chemistry, but never was very good at it. You do a great job of making it easier to understand. Thank you!

Aaron

This was such a great watch. Thank you so much for the video. Keep it going Cody. You’re awesome!

Great video. Steps well thought out. I too enjoy watching the energy released from the reaction of potassium and water.

Great video CodyDon! What a hassle to get potassium, but very fun to watch! And why not destroy the yield in an explosion :P! Love to see you practice your interesting hobby!

Very nice, now I'm hungry =D

This was awesome, classic Cody ! Was that’s the lister engine running in the background at your parent ranch? I’m a little late but you mentioned making a new metal converter, I’d love to make you one and contribute to the channel.

Cody, this is the best video for a very long time. You should get it filmed in a professional way. It would be sad if someone would steal from you.

So you got from 10kg of bananas 10gr of K. How much does 10g of K cost?

Calum Stevens

This was a really excellent video Cody. Had a Nile red/blue vibe to it. Loved it. Important to mix up the CHB videos with other videos.

I'm so excited about this video, I've wanted to ask Cody to do something exactly like this! I've some bio matter, high in K that I'm hoping to purify KOH or KHCO3 from. I'm having trouble removing the impurities though. I'd love to know more about your filtering methods.

I want to know the total cost of materials as well. Like how much the lithium was etc.

Anonymous

I don't think the video shows much about what happened to the lithium (or I was not paying enough attention). is it recoverable? (that would be cool to see)

One month later, and heres a small take: i think this video has reached more new eyes than others videos, possibly because it is a topic people search for (everyone says to eat babanas for K). Based on the comments on yt, it seems like there are a lot of first-time codyslab viewers, or at least not long time subscribers, just based on how people talk. you can usually tell who has been watching for years, because they talk about cody like hes an old friend, eg "there goes cody again, growin mushrooms with his cat on mars base" whereas newer eyes usually talk about "this guy" or "this dude" without being as personal. So I say keep up the good work is all. It is great to see new eyes on the channel, and you never know, maybe a percentage of them will binge watch the entire precious metal series or bee series lol
