This is the first time I've caught a meteor on film! I caught more over the hour I was taking photos for but from a quick look through this stood out the most. I'll put together a time lapse video at some point.

The two other streaks are satellites, and I think the fuzzy smudge in the top just right of middle is the Andromeda galaxy.

That's incredible!!! There was a huge one in Sydney Australia a week or so ago that hundreds got on film and I missed due to the aspect i was facing when I was looking for meteors!!!!!

I just did some astrophotography this weekend as well. What settings/camera did you use? It looks great!

Absolutely stunning! I haven't been out to watch the Perseids much. I love watching them, wish we could find some meteorites. That would be so cool.

What are you using for a star tracker for your camera?

Also, what happened to the previous post about demonetized videos. I get a 404 error when I look at it now.

Awesome work Cody, careful, though, astrophotography is a whole new rabbit hole. :-)

Eh I didn't feel it was up to scratch so (made me seem whiny) I scrapped it, I may post a modified version later.

cannon 80-D with the iso turned all the way up and a 15 second exposure.

That looks awesome! Would it be possible to find out the composition based on the wavelengths?
