I'm a little behind on editing the videos but the bees are now happily buzzing in their hives.

Bees are back in the pot! I think I'll glue some fake flowers to the lid. what do you think?

Could you get some kind of moss to cover the top with. It should help keep the hive cool in the summer and it makes for good insulation for the winter.

Fake flowers would definitely be a good choice. No risk of getting the bees wet or having to be careful when moving them off the lid. Just make sure they're "outdoor" fake flowers, as weird as that sounds.

Have you installed an internal cam again? Or are you planning to put one at least temporarily?

Sorry, I have no Facebook and no intention of going there. Is there any other public platform to use?

Oh, right. I’ll add the photo to the post next time I’m near a computer.

That is good that the Bees (Essential to Us) survived the winter, The more we have the better off we will be period.

Heck, I didn't realize you had a Facebook page. I have liked it. I saw your personal page as well, but I'm not that creeper type to randomly friend request people I don't know personally. :P You could easily add fake flowers (or real flowers in another lid inverted... ;) ) to that hive. If you do fake flowers, you would be able to use a hive top mason jar type feeder well hidden inside the fake flowers. However, if you go with real flowers, I imagine it would help cool the hive even better. I don't imagine it would provide any substantial feeding, but you could integrate a plant watering/bee watering system.

For some reason I read "beers are still happening" and thought you started homebrewing.

Just starting bee keeping this year (2 hives to start out). Looking forward to your bee videos.

Cool, why don't you make videos about homebrewing?
