LIGHT MECH or DROP SHIP? Poll Result: LIGHT MECH! (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone!
Thanks to almost 500 of you for completing the first "Big Thing" Survey! We have a representative sample so have closed the first survey now.
The results: 95% of you would like to see additional expansion months for one or more theme.
Drop Troopers and Over The Top are the months which more than 50% of you ticked "yes" to, so those themes will get follow on months at some point!
Big Things in order of % who ticked "YES", least popular first.
- War Mammoth 40% - This idea, sadly, is now extinct.
- Spider Tank 61%
- Mobile Artillery 66%
- Main Battle Tank 74%
- Infantry Fighting Vehicle 74%
- Heavy Mech 75%
- Light Mech 76%
- Drop Ship 77%
The vote was very close, and it's good to see that most of you will be happy with most of the ideas. It's likely that several of these ideas will feature in future "Big Thing" months.
We need to narrow it down so, the model will either be a Light Mech or a Drop Ship.
Some guidance to help you decide your preference.
The Light Mech:
- A smaller model, approx 70-80 tall with a single pilot, designed to work with a 60mm base (ish) - we will supply a scenic base you can print.
- The entire model should fit on 1-2 shorter prints and be easier to clean up and assemble.
- It's likely we will have enough design time to include fully poseable legs as well as several weapon options and alternative components (engines, feet, armour plating etc).
The Drop Ship:
- Very large and impressively detailed centrepiece model. 25cm/12" long and wide as a rough estimate.
- Design to be printable on a typical LCD printer build area, but it will likely be 6-8 long prints, a lot of resin, and a complex and challenging kit to assemble.
- Unlikely we will have time to design multiple weapon load outs/configurations.
- You'll need to provide your own base and acrylic or metal wire flight stand - we will advise on options.
VOTE WINNER: LIGHT MECH
We'll be putting up a survey soon with more detailed questions on design elements/style, battlefield role, weapons etc so we can work up the first draft.
Thank
Team Anvil
