Comments

Elisa

his back tattoo is real!! he saw a fanart on twitter and loved it so much that he got the moons tattooed and it's the first time we saw it fully btw j-hope is enlisting today 🥲

Harley

All the tattoos you see on him are real! He was the first member to start getting tattoos and he has 7 tattoos so he’s the member with the second most tattoos (everyone else is 3rd lol since they all have the 7 tattoo now and of course Jungkook with his sleeve is first)

Ana

Taehyung is the one who showed it to him, actually! Here's the art btw, it's really pretty: https://twitter.com/ArizzoStudios/status/1504081633812840448

Yeah, when they're together they're wayyy more animated! I guess it's part being unused to it and part just that it kind of feels weird to be goofing off and stuff when it's just you. But holy shit, Jimin looked TIRED tired at the end there. Go to sleep, my dude.

Sorry, this is going to be long and I might go on tangents, but it all somehow creates a better picture of Jimin's pandemic emotions. (I hope.) [This comment could also go under the Like Crazy Dance Practice Reaction, btw.] Maybe this could shed a little more light on the theme for the song "Like Crazy"? (Not the choreography.) https://kpopontrack.byspotify.com/posts/bts-jimin-talks-about-his-solo-album-face/ The actual 8-minute-long interview video seems to be not available on the spotify playlist anymore... but the transcription in the link explains it at #2: "It’s about the painful feeling of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream, but still wanting to stay in the dream forever.", and "When asked about the dream he wants to stay in forever, Jimin revealed: It’s BTS, frankly. I want to stay in this dream that is BTS for a long time." This gives us a pretty direct interpretation, in my opinion. Which leads me to the music video. As Jimin said in the shooting sketch for the music video, and I quote (1:35-) "근데 오해하시면 안 되는 게, 이렇진 않았습니다. MV로 좀 더 뭔가 눈에 보이는 것을 즐겁게 하기 위해서 표현을 이렇게 하는 거지." And most importantly, following that with "이러한 일들이 있었다고 보여주는 건 아니니까요." So he was not getting drunk in the club or a bar. He spends most of his days at home. Sometimes with friends or at his friends'. His favorite place is his sofa now, he said recently. [I'm taking this information from all the things he talks to us about in his weverse livestreams/posts and overall content Hybe provides.] (Keep in mind, that the members pretty much lived all together until the end of 2019/start of 2020. They got their own apartments one after the other, Jimin seemingly being one of the last ones. After everyone got out of the dorm, they used it to film a couple RUN BTS episodes and then it was gone forever after mid-2020.) And I want to stress this again because he's mentioned this here and there multiple times: He was simply alone. Lonely. All by himself, in lockdown, social-distancing, nothing to do at home. Not being able to keep in close touch with friends made him lose some of them. Their world tour was cancelled. The pandemic taking way longer than he expected. And Jimin is the type that lives for concerts (His words, not mine.) and not being able to perform in front of an audience has led him down a soju-drenched spiral (which reached its peak in April 2022, he said in his interview with Yoongi). Not sure if you've seen the clip of him breaking down during their O:NE online concert, but you should probably check it out (2:20-4:16, his full 멘트 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyWM5cVqmu8, or https://twitter.com/btscraq/status/1314923229643972609 for close up, no performance inserts and translation https://twitter.com/doolsetbangtan/status/1314919563172220929?s=21). What he said there was heart-wrenching. Going back to FACE, he mentions feeling alone in this very informative introduction video, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arhBIBLVXBk. So, in conclusion, the lyrics are really about loneliness, longing for a loved one in a dream. The choreography matches those emotions, but applied to a man/woman romance type of theme. And the location (and theme?) of the music video can deliver those kind of emotions for a bigger audience - making it easier to understand for a general public that likes the simple romance (not sure if it is one) narrative. I don't know if I was able to express everything the way I intended... but if you still have questions, I'll try my best to dig out some more sources. (Oh, and yeah, BigHitMusic shooting sketches tend to be more cryptic, in my opinion. Unless the artist actually talks about their work directly into the camera. Also, Jimin's tattoos are all real. Except the German poem in the SMF, pt. 2 video, of course. "Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen" by Rainer Maria Rilke.) Edit: Sorry, I forgot to add a translation for the Korean quote. "But you shouldn't misunderstand. It wasn't like this. I'm expressing it like this to make the music video more enjoyable for the eye. It's not to show that 'these are the things that have happened (to me)'."

Oh, I would love to see them watch the official Weverse FACE Live because Jimin reacts to the music videos in it! (But beware, the translations aren't that good this time.)

The DdeunDdeun ep with jimin and suga is also SUPER fun and a nice insight of their relationship! Also with Jhope for Jimin, Jimin brings out the same casual and relaxed de-stressing in Jhope in the Disney+/Weverse Jhope In The Box documentary. Honestly I think there might be more album-info on Jimin's weverse lives? I'm not too sure but that's what I would've assumed at least.

Honestly, a lot of questions that you have are actually answered in his Face Weverse live that was linked in a comment above. Some good nuggets in that live lol. I highly recommend it, it’s very informative of not only the album but also about Jimin as a person in general. I know it’s quite lengthy (as it’s like 1hr 36min long) but it’s so worth it.
