Thanks so much for reacting to jo1!! They have some of the best music around in my opinion, and are super talented. If you want to see more performances, they have a performance video for almost every song they have. I also understand where you’re coming from with the performance critique. I think it’s important to remember that they don’t really do music shows in Japan, and that overall they don’t perform in front of cameras the same way that K-pop groups do. In my opinion, I still think they put on great performances but I also simply don’t care about that as much because of the fact that they are better vocally and live than the majority of any comparable 4th gen K-pop groups, particularly boy groups. Finally got around to watch this. The guy with red streaks is Kono Junki and he's actually the main vocal lol. thank you so much for reacting to JO1 again. i was surprised to see this video and would love to see you reacting to them more in the future. the way PD described how mame (mamehara issei) (the one who's good at acting) might be a soft nice sturdy boy off stage is so accurate lol. a reason why he hit hard was because he used to be a kids' hip hop dance teacher pre-debut (he debuted when he's 18). he also placed #1 in the final debut lineup, which makes him the first center of JO1 (they rotate centers for each comeback). the one towards the end of the video that reminded you of hanbin/san is kawashiri ren! he used to be a back dancer for kpop groups, was a pro dancer and had lots of pre-debut dance videos. he also reminded me of sung hanbin (boys planet/ZB1) (similar vocal tones, off stage personalities, dance leaders, can dance in a girly pop style but chose not to on the survival show, theme song centers, show rankings, etc.). he was the second center in the rotation. the big arm muscle guy (yonashiro sho) & the guy with red streaks on his hair (kono junki) are the main vocalists of JO1. the guy that plays only one character really well (kinjo sukai) is also part of the vocal line (not officially a main vocalist but i consider him one myself). all 3 of them joined the show with zero dance experience so i'm glad to see that you enjoyed their performance a lot now. the guy with full red hair (kawanishi takumi) & the guy with silver hair (shiroiwa ruki) were centers in the previous rotations. takumi also had zero training before joining produce 101 japan. ruki was active in an underground idol group before joining. both of them also took center parts for 2 stages before on produce, were known for good facial expressions and visuals. choreo wise, i don't think "tiger" suited them. "with us" and "walk it like i talk it" imo suited them way more (both were choreographed by choi youngjun if i remember correctly).
