The rapper in Colorful just screams Bibi to me, unfair comparison but I guess it'll take a bit before Nakyoung stands apart and shines

Actually, only 3 of the 8 possible title tracks we voted on in the tournament are in this album! They were all labeled Song A, Song B, Song C, etc - Song B won in the end to become Rising. Beam was Song E and New Look was Song C! So the rest of the demos are shelved for now, possibly to be used in future subunits. Someone compiled all the demos together, if you want to hear what we heard initially when we voted (all ~30sec snippets): https://youtu.be/S1JlT8DieAI There's definitely a few I'm still hoping to hear on a future album! (and The Baddest was my favorite, with Colorful a *close* second)

All the Loona comparisons are hilarious in hindsight because MODHAUS is actually debuting a 'project group' ARTMS consisting of JinSoul, Kim Lip, Heejin, and Choerry:)

to be clear, even though AAA is "disbanded", the members are still in tripleS and they participated in this OT10 release. AAA being dissolved would be a better word, b/c disbanded makes it seem like they get kicked from tripleS. tripleS' whole concept is rotating subunits, so the AAA members will be in new subunits in the future.

you were wondering how a rookie group sounded so vocally mature. Jaden hired Choi Youngkyung from MonoTree to be their vocal instructor, and so I imagine that is part of it. Choi Youngkyung is also a producer for tripleS, she worked on both AAA's album and this OT10 album.

BADD also worked on a several of Loona solo songs and early Loona group songs, i'm not sure why that site didn't list their credits. For example some of what BADD worked are Rosy, love4eva, favOriTe, and Colors.

Just popping in real quick to mention that the subunits are NOT supposed to get 100k sales to not "disband". That is NOT the goal! They're always meant to be temporary subunits that promote one album, that is the whole concept of tripleS. So we get a lot of different constellations between all the members. Only IF they SOMEHOW manage to get 100k sales, they will promote another album. It's kinda like NCT but every subunit is NCT U! Their next subunit KRystal Eyes will debut early may! Super excited for that 🌻

I really need everyone to remember that the word "disbandment" DOES NOT APPLY to the tripleS subunits. 14 have been revealed thus far, the first 10 are on this album and the first eight have been divided up into the first two units, Acid Angel from Asia (AAA) and +(KR)ystal Eyes (KRE). AAA was first as we know and KRE are having their release in May! The members in order they were revealed, which is also the order they appear on the album cover: 1. Yoon Seoyeon 윤서연 (KRE, born 2003, zero prior idol or training experience before joining tripleS) 2. Jeong Hyerin 정혜린 (AAA, born 2007, trained at P Nation for 3 years) 3. Lee Jiwoo 이지우 (KRE, born 2005, competed on My Teenage Girl which formed CLASS:y) 4. Kim Chaeyeon 김채연 (KRE, born 2004, first debuted in CutieL in 2014 when she was only 10 years old, left in 2017 and became a member of Busters until 2020) 5. Kim Yooyeon 김유연 (AAA, born 2001, current oldest member, ranked #8 on My Teenage Girl so she ALMOST made it into CLASS:y) 6. Kim Soomin 김수민 (KRE, born 2007, maknae of this album, started training at 13 years old) 7. Kim Nakyung 김나경 (AAA, born 2002, younger sister of BIBI, has trained at P Nation) 8. Gong Yubin 공유빈 (AAA, born 2005, I don't really know much else) 9. Yamada Kaede 山田楓 (born 2005, Japanese, goes by just Kaede 카에데 here) 10. Seo Dahyun 서다현 (born 2003, has been training since 9th grade, most likely to be the overall main vocal of tripleS. She does all of those crazy runs and adlibs) Those are all the members on this album. However, since then, four more members have been revealed: 11. Kamimoto Kotone 嘉味元 琴音 (born 2004, Japanese, competed on Girls Planet 999 where she was eliminated in episode 11. She was notorious for directly calling out Mnet in one of her rap performances for not giving her any screen time. HUGE Orbit and she damn near lost her mind when she got to meet the four Loona members that signed to Modhaus a little while ago. She goes by Kotone 코토네 in tripleS) 12. Kwak Yeonji 곽연지 (born 2008, current overall maknae) 13. Hsu Nien Tzu 許念慈 (born 2003, Taiwanese-Vietnamese, competed on Girls Planet 999 where she was eliminated in episode 8. Former FNC trainee. In tripleS she just goes by Nien 니엔) 14. Park Sohyun 박소현 (born 2002, she's a producer and has produced one of the songs on the upcoming KRE subunit album) So yeah, rotating subunits and the plan is also to have a full group album with all members once a year. For 2023 thats this, with the 10 members that were present when work on the album began. - „OnlyOneOf was also a Jaden Jeong group.“ Was? They still exist and are VERY active. The way you said that made it sound like they disbanded. - Since you mention DreamNote, I also have to mention that the FINALLY had a comeback with Lemonade. - The one doing the crazy adlibs at the end of Rising is Dahyun! - Full Circle is a song on Yuju's recent comeback album. The title track is called Without U if you want to check it out. Though it is a very soft and slow ballad so I don't know if you'd be into it. - I have to let you know that there are live stages for Colorful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fWM8sVy6qM - „They sound like they've been in the industry for ten years.“ Well, Chaeyeon at least actually has been in the industry as an active idol for over eight years. And she's only 18 years old. I don't condone groups made up of literal children but you can't deny that it gave her a lot of experience. - But that first rap verse you pointed out in Colorful is by Seoyeon. The one member here with ZERO prior experience. She only started training under Modhaus and we can see the very beginnings of everything in the daily vlogs (Signal). Jaden Jeong is an amazing fucking producer indeed. - The rap after the first chorus is by Nakyung and I think you can really tell that this is Bibi's sister. It has a certain Bibi-esque flavour to it. - Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry are now back with Jaden and have already started recording new music! That Loona-Jaden sound will finally return this year. Look out for a group named ARTMS. That's the Loona members under Modhaus. - About that unreleased Loona album: Loona were supposed to have a comeback on January 3rd. But because of the legal battle between the Loona members and BBC, fans came together and started a successful boycott. The album was postponed indefinitely. Which basically means it's lost forever. The songs were all recorded and they might even have shot the title track MV but they will most likely never see the light of day. But don't get me wrong, it's a very good thing this isn't coming out. The comeback was to happen against the will of the members who were at that point fighting to get the fuck out of BBC. Some still are in that fight today. Though I do hope that Modhaus somehow gets the rights to these songs and they can be released once the girls are free. - God damn it Jaehyuk, now I can't get the New Look / Take On Me comparison out of my head. - Someone create a mashup of New Look and Take On Me please. - Unfortunately Rising is the only song with a music video. There are live stages for Beam and Colorful at least. My personal ratings of the Songs. Beam: Nice chill vibe but it doesn't blow me away either. It's also unfortunately quite short. A good 6/10 for me. Before the Rise: Not much to say, it's just an interlude. Does a nice job of hyping you up for Rising. Rising: It's amazing but it's TOO SHORT! Argh. It could have been perfect but the short runtime knocks it down to a 9/10. Though I have heard rumors of an OT12 extended version? Colorful: This is a Loona song. Like, this could have been on any album before So What (including the subunits) and it would fit right in. I LOVE IT. 10/10. The Baddest: Very interesting. Almost a bit haunting. But a total vibe, I really dig it. That lowkey chorus/antidrop just works so well for me. Another standout, 9/10. New Look: THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SONG ON THE ALBUM. Listen, you do Synthwave and I'm SOLD. IMMEDIATELY. This is honestly cheating. 10/10, perfect song. Fuck you for pointing out the Take On Me parallels though :D Chowall: Not much of a song but it's a nice outro. My Ranking: 1. New Look (10/10) 2. Colorful (10/10) 3. The Baddest (9/10) 4. Rising (9/10) 5. Beam (6/10) Overall I'd give this album a 9/10. It's damn near perfect. I'm just knocking away a point because Beam didn't impress me that much and Rising is too short.

Yubin is good friends with STAYC J, and they said they trained together. I don't think Yubin was at HigherUp, so it must have been before J moved to HigherUp.

yeah according to the OnlyOneOf members Jaden still helps them out and acts as a consultant, but the goal with OnlyOneOf was that the members would be able to do everything themselves.
