Kyle had been struggling to adapt to his new body ever since he had woken up in the hospital. He had been in a car accident that had killed his male body, and the only way to save his life was to place his brain into a donor body. When he had first seen himself in the mirror as a woman, he had been horrified. But over the past month, with the help of his girlfriend Laurel, he had slowly been coming to terms with his new body.

Today was a big day for Kyle. He was planning on making the switch to his new name and female pronouns, officially becoming Kylie. He was going to go to the local government services building to completely change things. Running his fingers through his long brown hair, he wanted to look his best for the occasion. He had asked Laurel to help him do his hair, and she had eagerly agreed.

Laurel sat Kyle down in front of the mirror and began brushing his hair gently. She had been so proud of Kyle for how well he had been handling the transfer, and she wanted to make sure he felt beautiful on this important day. She was a makeup guru and hairstylist, so Kyle knew his girlfriend was the perfect person to help him out here. As Laurel worked on his hair, Kyle watched her in the mirror.

She finished brushing out Kyle's hair and began working on a simple updo. She twisted and pinned his hair into place, working with the natural curl and wave of the hair. Kyle watched in amazement as Laurel worked, impressed by her skill and talent. As Laurel finished the last pin, Kyle turned to look at himself in the mirror. He couldn't believe how different he looked from just a few weeks ago. His hair was styled beautifully, framing his face in soft waves.

He smiled back at himself in the mirror, feeling more confident and comfortable in his new body than ever before. It was amazing how much a simple hairstyle could make him feel so confident. She leaned in, her fingers combing through his silky hair, and kissed his lips gently. “How do you like it? How does it feel?” She asked.

“I love it,” he said. “I actually love what you’ve done.” He knew that his transition would continue to be a journey, but with Laurel by his side, he felt like he could handle any upcoming hurdles.
