Painting this one was a pretty chill process that mostly involved painting a hundred tiny leaves. The shading doesn't actually kick in till halfway through this timelapse.

Overall this piece was a joy to work on. It almost felt like painting in a page from a coloring book. I tried to keep the shading and lighting quite simple, as I really wanted to keep that simplicity and warmth without taking away some of the charm with overcomplicated textures. As usually though, this piece was completed in Photoshop for the final touches as you can see here.

By the way - did you know you can actually slow these down to get a slower view of the process? If you click on the little cog on the bottom of the video, you can actually set the playback speed all the way down to .25 (which is just a bit over normal speed).
