Episode Synopsis:  Jiaying convinces Skye and the Inhumans to fight against S.H.I.E.L.D., but Coulson sees through her deception and plots to save Skye and her father...

May vs Skye was a heart wrenching way to start start the episode and set the mood for the finale. The torture of Bobby looked so brutal agh yeah it's pretty hardcrore for network TV. ABC, no less! I will say that I always kinda cringe at the scenes with Cal transformed. And you called it: his name in the comics is Mr. Hyde! Back when it was airing people had been thinking that's who he was before they revealed their names in the mid season. Meaning Skye was Daisy Johnson, AKA Quake. Now they finally delivered on showing full on Mr. Hyde a whole half season later. To me it leaned more towards silly than anything, though :/

Yeah, this was hardcore 😰 May vs. Skye definitely broke my heart a little. Aaaaand I'm still cringing at the fingernail bit. Surprised ABC decided to go there haha. As for Callllll... yeah 😅 as far as creature FX/transformations have gone on this show, his (so far) is not my favorite... I think some of it may be the fact that it's more of an embellishment/enhancement than a full-on transformation? Like a sort of cousin to the uncanny valley? He looks kinda like Kyle McLaughlin mixed with somebody else rather than just.. Mr. Hyde, if that makes sense?

Yeah it was an odd choice. I think they didn't want to go full on transformation they probably thought that would be too much? Not sure what they were thinking but yeah I would say visual effects wise that was their biggest stumble. After this I feel like everything is top notch in both practical and CGI effects. A lot of it only seems to get better which is a feat considering the budget drops here and there. This is the only one that stands out in a negative way to me. Can't believe we're one episode away from season 3!

That fight between Daisy and May is one of my favorites in the entire MCU. It's not the coolest fight but it totally summarizes anti powered people in like all fiction. May trains her entire life, literally trains Daisy, easily beats her in hand to hand, but Daisy ends it in an instant with her powers.
