Here's one awesome picture of the beautiful E21 sitting on this lovely classic Mercedes tow truck in Alicante. Thought you'd appreciate it as you just never see this nowadays.

I know that the production date of the car is 01/1980, but I still can't figure out the color. I think it's Olive green (Olivgrün Metallic) which was only available for the year 1980. Regardless, I really love the color, it's very retro and period correct.

I emailed BMW group classic with the VIN and hopefully they dig out something interesting for about it.

Looking forward to seeing the videos on this one. How is it interacting with BMW group classic? Do they know you by name? I imagine you'd get a lot of respect from them and the BMW community in general given the quality of your work and popularity.

Hey Sreten, in the previous thread you could see the colour tag in the engine compartment (picture 6). It says Olivingrün Metallic. 😉

HA! This picture reminds me of an old BMW ad, where they showed a Mercedes Benz truck, loaded with all kinds of BMW's. The ad text read: "Even a Mercedes Benz can bring the joy of driving" (referring to BMW's slogan "Freude am Fahren").

Why did you name it project Castellon, when the car is sitting at Alicante?

Beautiful thing! Olivgrün with envy!

I actually know just one guy that I emailed a few times before I started YouTubing, I doubt he knows who I am.

The car was bought in Castellon, my friend who picked up the car is from Alicante and is storing the car there until it's picked up.

Just saw the tease you posted on Instagram. Being a Nissan fan/owner, the comments about your supposed "switch" made me chuckle 😅

My first new car was an E21 (metallic blue). Always hard to shift into second gear when the gearbox was cold. Have to watch the oversteer and inside rear tire lift on hard cornering.

I remember a friend buying one of these and trying to restore it and then gave up because it was very expensive to do so,and parts were difficult to come by, especially when looking locally as e21's are really rare here in our country. If you watched the last season of Topgear,Chris Harris had a ball in one,and then decided to buy it.Great buy Sreten

I owned an E21 320i (M10 engine) for several years (my last car). Rebuilt the top end, rings, piston bearings, valve stem seals, head cleaning--the whole shebang. That color in that pic looks like what they called “Cashmere Metallic” in the states, to me--the color mine was. In the last post, you can see the color tag in the engine bay is olivegrün metallic. Super fun cars to work on and zoom around in. I think the stock models got like 75hp new, so flooring it around town was standard operating procedure.
