NOTICE!!

This is a quick mod I did for testing. I don't care about this one enough to refine it, but if someone wants to do it, you're very welcome to take over this project!

This mod makes all degree be prestige degree in both Universities. This way, it enable the chance to not get into any course, the universities will be greyed out if you try to enroll:

I'm posting this mod just in case someone wants this, but this is where I stopped. You still get the letter and all, they still say you got in, but you'll not have the option to enroll, only to check the status, if you don't qualify anywhere. I used the debug interaction to try. By investigating more it could be that the option can be enabled even in this case, but I actually like the way they set things up as such, I don't care about doing this at all.

I never use clubs so I never looked into it. Adding organizations I think it's possible (they can be added in the files I used for this mod actually) but I've yet to mess around with that in game.

You'll miss half of the features of the pack though. I hope someone can get around and refine this. It doesn't seems like I can test normal degrees.

I think this is such a nice mod and I like the fact that you can't get in if you don't qualify - it makes the colleges feel like really Ivy League schools (I know the idea for this pack was for this to feel more universal, but I think it still seems to have a pretty strong American university feel.) I probably won't use it (though I might drop it in for certain saves when I 'm telling a particular story) because, for once, I like what EAxis did here (I never thought those words would come out of my mouth, ugh) because I actually like the idea that some schools have better degree programs in certain areas than others. It's pretty true to life. Like, I have dyscalculia (to put it very simplistically, it's math dyslexia) and I would do much better at somewhere like Columbia or Stanford as opposed, to say, MIT. I say that like I could've gotten in lol, but alas, math torpedoed my GPA and ACT (a major standardized test that you have to take if you want to get into college) scores and I couldn't even manage a 4.0. (I'm pretty sure things work way differently in Europe, so in the States, a 4.0 is a perfect GPA, but if you're taking honors, AP (advanced placement - harder than honors. you actually take a test at the end and if you pass, you get a college credit for it), and college classes like I was, your GPA would actually be higher than 4.0. Don't ask me how that works because I don't because it doesn't make sense to me, either, but there we are.). Sorry if all these info dumps I keep making in my comments come across as rude or patronizing. I don't know how familiar you are with the school set-up in the States, and like I said, despite their intention, EAxis still managed to make the uni process a pretty American experience, plus I like to know everything about everything and I just assume everyone else does, too. I mentioned the ACT above. Again, not sure they have anything like that in Europe, but it's basically a big standardized test and your score determines what kind of university you can get into it can affect the kind, or amount, of scholarship you get. There are two major tests here - the ACT and the SAT - and like the different schools, each ones focuses more on one thing than the other. For example, the SAT (which is more common and what more people mention and you have probably heard of) is more heavily math based, whereas the ACT is more language arts based. Anyway, the point of *that* info dump is to ask if you would ever make a mod like that, where high schoolers who want to to university have to take a test like that could affect their university scholarships and/or acceptance or maybe something like you guys have - I've heard of A-levels (at least in the UK), but I don't understand exactly what they are and I don't even know if that's what you guys do in Italy. I have NO idea if that's even possible or if it would be super difficult because you make everything look so easy and I know nothing. (I didn't even know where to get the XML files for the actual game until you linked it another post. I thought I was just too stupid to figure it out because even after extensive googling, nothing came up except scumbumbo's walkthrough guide.). Anyway, just a question and like I said, I really know nothing about coding. I mean, I felt *accomplished* for just doing the quick fix for the ilkavelle rejection letter mod. So, you know, no pressure or expectations because I don't know anything and you seem to know *all of the things*, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Sorry, again, for always leaving obnoxious, stupidly long comments. The things you do just amaze me and I get really excited about it and then I can't shut up. :). Thank you so, so, so much for all of the work you do and for all the tutorials you put up and for showing us how to fix certain things. You are amazing.

All those info are pretty interesting actually, and I was thinking as I was reading how cool would it be to have the game require a test to enter University, they could have done it given what they did in cas stories, I don't know if it can be done with a mod, because it doesn't seem like there is a way to test the normal degrees (I'll keep looking into it though).. we have something similar in Italy, there are major you can get in without taking tests (you still need to have completed high school with a certain grade though, below 75 negates access to University) and there are Majors like the medical ones where you need to pass a test to get in (open majors and closed majors)

Yet another small request, do you mind considering to make another mod that allows sims who live in dorms to have pets (cats and dogs) as a household member? I've enabled the stray cat hangout option for my dorms but I'm so bumped that I cannot add her to my household because then I will have to move out of dorms..

Mh... Did you try something drastic like.... Testingchat on shift click and add to household on the pet? I haven't tested something like this yet, I wonder if it works.

This university, developed by EA, is completely boring, lifeless! I played a little and it seemed boring and not interesting to me! Young students live the lives of older people; there is no irresponsibility characteristic of young people. I hope you can breathe life into this add-on without a web template! Tell me, who is engaged in social mods at the university?

I am interested in love. Remember how the Sims 3 had love letters? The university is insanely absent! Intrigues are lost, an important part of the students' social environment is lost. I understand that you do not participate in such mods, but you can indicate to whom to write about it. These are just letters, SMS and nothing whiter. Sometimes you want to feel the emotions, but with EA it is not possible! Thanks!

Try my "how to improve autonomy even more" modifications, my game is a mess since I edited those files. There is only so much one can do with these sims, you can add buffs and all but the effect they have is still what it is.
