♫ new phone wallpaper! ♫ cats + music = life (Patreon)

hello lovely patrons! ⸜(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)⸝

for january's dlc reward, I made another phone wallpaper since a lot of y'all voted for it in the last poll. I also just have a lot of fun making them so why not! for this drawing, I wanted to try something more limited in scope and color palette (black/white/red), so I could focus on lineart. I often shy away from lines only in favor of bold and bright colors, but I like getting to practice my line and hatching skills. there's so much you can achieve with just black, white, and the values in between (manga is a great example). the result of my experimentation is something stark, impactful, and emily the strange-esque. I've already changed it to my phone background and am loving it so far! 

these are the first rough sketches I drew! it's always fun seeing what ends up changing and what stays the same. the cat ears turned into giant headphones...
