Playable Build: Download Here - Or download from the Attachments in this post!

Video: Partial Playthrough Video

Hi Everyone!

It's the end of September and I've got a new build for everyone to play!

What's new in this build?

October 11th:

  • New Rhythm UI and System. Moving to the beat is now much more clear and easy!
  • Rhythm gameplay: Moving to the beat 4 times in a row gives you a boost of stamina. Missing the beat gives you a minor stamina penalty.
  • Damage hit communication for hitting enemies.
  • Better death animation for golems.
  • Improved Camera zoom ins and default distances.

November:

  • Trapper Golems! - A brand new enemy type! These enemies will chase after you with their long ranged attacks and try to bind you up.
  • While their binding attack doesn't sap willpower, it leaves you immobile and exposed for other enemies to attack!
  • Struggle with A,S,W,D keys to escape!
  • Improved Enemy AI, the enemy AI now knows to not pass through static objects like chests, pillars, and the like.
  • Known issue: Enemies aren't quite smart enough to not pass through the player character or other enemies quite yet. We're working on addressing this over the next few weeks. It's not a bug as much as the programmer just needs some time to implement this.
  • New dungeon environment art - The walls of the dungeon have been remastered and now look much more detailed!

As always I'd love your feedback! :)

Requirements & How to Install:

  • Playable on a PC using a Windows OS.
  • The game will boot up full screen and set to your monitors native resolution.
  • You can now change the resolution in the options menu to an adjustable windowed mode where you can set it to your preference.

To Install It:

  • Download the zip file
  • You MUST unzip all the contents of the zipfile to any folder. The game cannot run from inside the zipped file.
  • Windows can unzip it by itself. You don't need to download any third party software like WINRAR.
  • You can run the demo by entering the unzipped folder and double clicking on the file named: Kinky Dungeon Project

Common Install Issues:

  • Delete all prior files from previous versions / public demo if you're installing to the same folder location.
  • If you don't unzip the contents of the folder, you can't play the game.
  • If the game opens and then closes without a screen showing, that's typically a graphic driver issue, update your graphics cards drivers and restart your pc.
  • Unity games don't like being placed in folders deeply nested in multiple folders. This is due to long file directory names messing with Unity. 3 to 5 folders deep is fine. More and it gets wonky.
  • If controls don't respond = It's probably a controller you have plugged into or connected to your computer. Remove it to use Keyboard controls.

Alright, first of all, the little animation for when the golem catches The Bindmancer is *adorable*! I love it so much! I also love the introduction of a new enemy type, which is always nice for gameplay. I do have a suggestion though, with the mimic chests: I'd love to see if they could get their own game over animation! They're probably one of my favorite aspects of the game so far. Maybe the chest could shut, with The Bindmancer trapped inside, before cutting to their designated game over screen? (I don't know if this idea or concept has been suggested before, so I apologize if it has)

so,im having audio issues? as in theres about .5 seconds of audio on the menu at launch, then silence for the whole game... as for idea's,maybe managing to get enemies stuck in other enemy's grabs/attacks,like mimics and golem? (tentacle traps would be too easy)

Hi there. For the audio issue: Be sure to check the audio volume options by pressing esc when playing the game. They retain prior settings. You need to exit the options screen to save them once adjusted. :)
