i knew i needed to try cecred since i know beyonce never half asses anything and i wasnt wrong cuz it is lovely. people were hating on the doll calling it a cash grab (well a certain fanbase was lol) but the hydrating shampoo is goated! i got a sample of the conditioner too and it is really nice although i agree it does need more slip to make it easier on us.

With the hydrating shampoo, the lather is good when it’s your second wash. Like the lather is silky when I use it after the scalp shampoo.

Have you tried pattern yet? I love their clarifying shampoo and the conditioner is SOLID and lasts so long. Our hair looks about the same, weekly wash days and my conditioner would last 2-3 months. It’s got slip, is uber fucking thick and is there only conditioner I’ve been using for 3 years

I’ve been waiting for you to talk about Cecred! I’ve been using since its release and my hair loves it. Just had to restock a few weeks ago and I got the new conditioner. I completely agree about the slip. You should try the deep conditioning mask, it has the same benefits + slip. Also you MUST try the leave in. My hair feels so soft all the way until my next wash day, and it’s so concentrated you need very little per section. I also feel like my hair is better able to hold water since using Cecred and my wash and go’s come out even better. I really want to try the olaplex system or maybe K18 next but Im worried it won’t feel as good on my hair and make it harder to detangle with so many bond building ingredients

People say oh oil makes my hair grow... no sister your hair is growing DESPITE you putting oil on it 😭 braid don't make your hair grow, your hair was growing ANYWAYS but in braids you can just see the new growth easier! These hair debates always boil down to people not knowing how to do their hair, and that’s okay, I was one of them, back in the day we didn’t know shit about shit, especially for kinky hair, but we in 2024, there’s been lots of informational development on tighter textured hair since then, there’s no reason why people are still deriving their hair information from texturist ideologies it’s stupid, and it’s so simple too once you start learning about stuff, if you have dry hair use moisturizing products and or water, that’s the most basic thing, if you have oily hair, use stuff that combats the oil, if you’re prone to dandruff use stuff that combats the dandruff, if you have damaged hair get protein treatments, if you’re straightening your hair use hair masks and heat protectant, also wash your hair AT LEAST biweekly, now all of that should be common sense but like I said we were conditioned to believe anything tighter than 3c hair was unmanageable and we didn’t know shit, when the girls just need to do their research, i JUST started learning about stuff like 4 years ago and I’m only at collar bone length, I can only imagine how long my hair wouldn’t been if my mom wasn’t constantly having my hair get permed and constantly getting braids bc she was too lazy to do it and didn’t know WTF she was doing lmao

And then for wash days, ppl always complain about wash days and how their wash days like 10 hours, if it’s taking you 10 hours to get through a wash day that’s a problem lol it should not take you more than 30 mins to an hour AT THE LEAST, if it’s taking you more than that you’re just doing some extra shit lol

And don’t get be started on the oils, people are so misinformed about what oils do, what oils are supposed to do is seal in moisture into your hair, it’s not a moisturizer itself, using oil directly on your scalp generates build up and then people wonder why their head is itchy and flaky, ppl need to start using serums instead, it’s one thing to use oil in conjunction with other products, but using solely oil to grow your hair isn’t doing anything lol

YES finger detangling with shampoo is so important to me, if a shampoo isn’t soft enough or slippery enough for me to finger detangle let alone detangle with a brush I’m not using it, being able to detangle while washing my hair saves me so much time and energy, there’s very few shampoos I use that allow me to detangle while using it

the braids part is so accurate, lost a lot of hair not properly taking down braids and taking the time to detangle my hair.
