Greetings Patrons,

I saw an interview with one of the authors of the latest D&D adventure books speaking about the tepuis of her native Venezuela and I had to look up the word because I'm sorry to say, I'd never heard it before. Well, a rabbit hole of Wikipedia (linked above) and youtube videos ensued.

Now, as most of you know, I usually don't strive for any type of realism on Tabletop Audio. I'd much rather use reality as a jumping-off point.  Invisible Mountain is definitely in that spirit. It's got mountain atmospheres, meaning wind and a stream and I stayed clear of any type of fauna - well, I tried some, but none of them worked.

Musically it's fairly all over the place. The flute is Peruvian, but the melody isn't. It's got a bit of synth and a bit of processed vocal and a whole lot of drums (mostly Celtic, African, and Middle Eastern if I'm being honest). But - I was going for otherworldly and almost, but not quite natural. Listening to it a day or two later and I think the idea works. But, as always, feel free to ignore the title completely and build your own world around it.

I've included the mixed track (currently in sneak-peek mode, so on the site next week) as well as a music-only and ambience-only version. I also did a few versions without water for added flexibility. There's a mixed version, and an ambience-only version without the stream.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim
