Greetings Patrons,

Today's ambience was so much fun to make. I was looking for a kind of Tomb Raider vibe for this one. Something like: You're deep in the jungle, pushing your way through dense undergrowth. Just as you crest a small rise, an ancient ruin appears before you. Overgrown and crumbling, home to howler monkeys and exotic birds...

I wanted to make it fairly culturally agnostic so it's a  pastiche that shouldn't constrain your stories. It's generally South American in vibe but it could also easily be an alien world.

The musical track is various percussion, flutes and other 'indigenous' sounding instruments I could find - or at least play them that way. I also got to 'play' cello on it. I'm a violinist, not a cellist, but I'm looking after my brother's cello and honestly, I can't believe I've never brought it out before. For this track I did some sul pont tremolos on an open C string that came out better than I had hoped.  I'm going to break it out more often for some plucking and body slap percussion. It's really just a large gorgeous wooden box with strings on it.

I've included music-only and an ambience-only versions of this track for patrons.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim
