Greetings Patrons,

I know this may come across as too on-the-nose, but I can't ignore the fact that one of the busiest cities in the world, my home, New York City, seems to have become rather depopulated. Or rather, it appears that way with everyone indoors.

Nevertheless, on my daily dog walks or guerrilla trips to the grocery store, I find myself living out any number of films about empty streets. The thing is, I find it more peaceful than eerie.

I called this track Ghost Town, but it's not about ghosts. It's more about absence. This track started with some icy string arrangements which somehow led me down a path. Tenuous, scratchy strings, airy woodwinds, a wobbly synth underneath, some hollow wind, clanking gates, squeaking things.  My goal was not to be too ominous, although, I suppose,  it could be. There's a bit of - I don't know, wistfulness? Maybe that's the word. But of course you'll come up with your own.

I've included a music-only and ambience-only versions of this track in case you want to roll your own.

Thank you as always. I truly appreciate the support during these times. Please take care of yourselves and each other.

Best,

Tim

I think you nailed the wistfulness vibe in the music while dodging creepy. You do a great job subtly setting the mood. This will be great for the recap at the beginning of every session. Well Done!!!

I was just thinking the same thing about my background music for my weekly recap. I especially like the Ambience-only which is perfect for a abandoned/ghost town. Nice work!
