Greetings Patrons,

I was asked several months ago to produce 10 ambient tracks for Grant Howitt and Christopher Taylor's new RPG, Heart: The City Beneath. This is a sequel to Spire: The City Must Fall, a game I also produced tracks for.

In Spire we heard the story of the dark elves in a gleaming, towering city. Heart is all about the characters of the chaotic and dangerous undercity.

Today, Wednesday April 1st, is the day Heart: The City Beneath is being released. As such, 5 of the 10 tracks are available on tabletopaudio.com and I've uploaded another 5 here for Patrons. If you're interested in the game, the publishers have a pay-what-you-want deal for the quickstart rules  here.

This was lots of fun to work on. Some of the creative directions were very vivid and exact, while some were wonderfully vague, for instance this one, for the track Absolution: "I can't really describe what this would sound like, but here's some artwork - good luck!

These tracks are all basically in the fantasy/horror category and are mostly abstract so they'll work across a wide variety of games and stories.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.  Stay safe and look after each other.

All the best,

Tim

Just started listening to your Heart ambiences and as always, love them. BUT, I have a request. There are SO MANY wonderful ambiences to choose from them that I am having trouble in my games. I've downloaded and organized them into folders or playlists (e.g. travel, town/city etc etc) but what would REALLY help is clearer tagging. I can see that you have a "beta" tagging and I can put in say "creepy" and will get some candidate tracks. But it would be even more helpful if the tags were listed on the page or (even better) on the tile of the track itself. Possible?

I see what you're saying and I'll think about how to work this out. I'd rather not clutter up the page with a ton of tags. However, If you want to submit tags for tracks that you think would make it easier for others to find then you can certainly do that. - Tim
