New Ambience - Spire: New Heaven (Patreon)

 Here's the third installment of audio from Grant Howitt's upcoming RPG, "The Spire". For the previous tracks, I'd been working off Adrian Stone's  amazing Spire artwork as inspiration for the sounds, but for this one, "New Heaven", there wasn't anything ready, so I had to go with Grant's description:

"Impossibly high burial grounds, towers of silence, cackling hyenas prowling the streets, corvids picking at the dead, fluttering prayer flags and wind. Preachers and zealots singing the praises of their gods. Weeping mourners and ominous death-priests overseeing funereal processions. Bells? Funeral dirges?"

(You can bet those final two items with question marks made it in.)

Mea Culpa:

In another note, I made a huge mistake on my last two Spire sounds (The Heart and Amaranth). 

I'd been juggling multiple versions (lossless, high-bit rate mp3, med big-rate mp3) for the Kickstarter goals and I somehow uploaded 2 un-mastered tracks to the website. 

A few of you had told me that the volume on these was unusually low and I responded by saying that according to my db meters they were fine! But...then I finally downloaded the tracks that were on the site and checked them on my meters and...oh...crap. You guys were totally right. 

So, these two sounds have been fixed and re-uploaded. If you've downloaded them you might want to grab them again. make sure the file names have an _a before the .mp3. Sorry about that!
