I'm having such a great time working on these tracks for Grant Howitt's upcoming RPG, The Spire.

Each location is a fascinating exploration in sound. This one features the domain of the cruel and haughty high elves, or aelfir as they are known. They have arrived from their frozen domain in north to exert dominion over the drow and have created their home away from home in The Spire.

Here are notes from the design brief:

The crystalline, frozen home of the haughty (and masked) high elves that rule Spire. Lit by stolen northern lights and chilled with imported ice. Stillness, punctuated by shirll laughter from hidden back-rooms. Ice-baths and great crystal temples to the sun and twisted, grim topiary.
Characteristic sounds: Creaking ice, twinkling, distant music (stringed instruments a plus), the clink of heavy gold coins, laughter, shivering"

Astute listeners will already know that I'm a violinist so the "stringed instruments a plus" directive bit put a smile on my face.

Naturally, this ambience will work will in a variety of settings, not just Spire. Give it a listen and I'll bet it works for a scenario or two of yours!

Thank you all for your continuing support.

best,

Tim
